There’s a knock at the door. ‘Wait a knock?’ Alex said and Jess felt equally confused. I open my eyes and find myself in my room. James was in the bed, just James. ‘Where’s Elias?’ Alexis asks, ‘Who cares.’ Jess says ‘Stop fighting, we had an agreement. I will find him.’ I get out of bed and I am fully dressed in a pair of pajamas I didn’t know I owned. James was still out cold and for the life of me I couldn’t remember anything after me marking them.
I don’t know how I got back or when I got dressed or if we had s*x last night. It was a blank. I try to shake off this fuzzy feeling, but it has this weird grip on me. I stumble to the door; my legs feel like lead covered gelatin. Everything felt heavy and woozy. I manage to open the door and there is a girl there. I don’t recognize her, but I know she is apart of my pack. She looks at me concerned and I accidentally fall onto her. “Luna is everything okay?” she asks but it sounds distorted. “Alpha…” is all I can manage to say.
I close my eyes and trust in this stranger entirely. She drags me to Elias’ room and just walks in. She doesn’t knock like a pack member should. “What are... you do?” I say groggy as hell not able to get a sentence out. She yelps and drops me to floor and it’s to hard to get up by myself. “Elias” I mutter and look up to see the same women that was in his room that first day. ‘Why were they in bed together?’ Alex was instantly hurt, and I couldn’t blame her. ‘We need to get out of here.’ Jess says with urgency. ‘But my Mate. We need to kill her and get answers.’ Alexis was mad and out for blood. I could barely move.
“Kass?” I hear Elias say looking at me. He to is seems very confused. He tries to get up, but blondie rolled on top of him. “Don’t worry about her babe.” She said and he turned to her and then back to me. He repeated this movement a couple time. “Kass this isn’t what it looks like.” He says. Of course, he said that, they always say that when they get caught. But there was nothing I could do but lay on the floor. Watch as she mounted him, and he did nothing about it. “Kass!” I could hear James coming close. I prayed that he would find me soon. At this point my vision was darkening and my limbs were made of the heaviest material on earth. “Kassandra! Elias!” James sounded shocked. He picked me up like I weighed nothing and took me somewhere. I was too tired and hurt to focus.
“Don’t worry Kass, I will get you out of here.” He said and all I could do go with him. My blood was hot, and my skin was cold. I finally gave into the heaviness and fell asleep in the back seat of a car that James put me into.
Elias pov
I can’t figure out what going on. I remember getting marked but nothing after that. Rebecca was on top of me but wasn’t doing anything. My body felt numb, but I knew I wasn’t inside her. My clothes were still on. When James came ad grabbed Kass she got off me. “Oh Alpha, I will see you soon.” She winked at me and left. I tried to get up, but my body felt like lead. I try to open my mind link; I need my Beta the only person I trust. It wasn’t long till Chris came rushing into my room. “Elias what’s wrong?” He asks concerned. “Get doc.” Is the only thing I could say. It was hard to talk, to keep my eyes open.
The next thing I knew there was a pain in my face. Chris had a smile on his face and doc was standing there next to him. “Good you’re awake. You were poisoned.” She said “What do you mean I was drugged. “Well it’s been a week since Chris found you. We did some blood work and you had a rare drug in your system, and we had to ask around and we barely able to grab an antidote.” My next thought was Kass. I couldn’t feel her, I couldn’t reach her. “Kassandra, where is she? I need to talk to her?” I try to get up, but Chris wouldn’t let me. “You need some rest; you can’t do anything in this state. I have all the best trackers out looking for her.” Chris says and I can’t control the anger inside of me. “What do you mean looking for her?” I yell grabbing his shirt and bringing him close. “James took her that day and no one has seen either of them since.” Chris says and I let him go. I need to talk to Rebecca. “take me to my office. I need to talk to Rebecca.” I say pushing Chris away and standing up. I was dizzy and need to grab hold of the bed to balance. “Rebecca is gone too.” Chris says
“What do you mean? How is everyone gone?” I ask and he doesn’t have an answer. “I need you get me the most trusted warriors, only warriors from my pack. I have a feeling I can’t trust James or the Moon Light pack.” I say and I march off to my office trying my hardest keep up right. Chris ran ahead of my best to make the short walk to the pack house. I need to find Kassandra and there were many people I need to talk to.
I enter my office glad I had a chair to sit in. My legs were so tired, but I wasn’t about to let the pack see their Alpha weak. Chris walks in and behind him are my five most trusted men. “Alpha, I have brought you Justin, Michael, Garrett, Amanda, and Max. They are our best in my option.” I trust Chris so if he trusted them, I will trust them. “As you know, Kassandra Kane is missing, and I want to know where she is. Our prime suspects are James Cabernet and Rebecca Anderson. Finding them is the top priority and this is a secret mission. If you breathe a word of this to anyone outside this room it will be the last thing you do. Keep your ears open and report anything you find.”
They all nod and leave. “Chris get me her parents.” I say and he hurries out. I will find her and the best place to start is with her parents. I need to see if she contacted them. “Hold on Kassandra I will find you.” I say out loud as phone started to ring. I answer it. “Elias Axton, how can I help you?” I say trying to maintain a stoic voice. I listen intently to the voice on the other side. My eyes grow wide and I drop the phone and run. I have to save her.
