Daniella's P.O.V. They always say the best way to tell a story is to start at the beginning and I guess the only way that you can fully understand the present is if you know the story of my past, so here it is. I wish I could tell you that my life has been all sunshine and rainbows and I guess it was in a way for the longest time because I had wonderful and amazing parents who made me feel so loved and cared for and they gave me everything that I could possibly want in life without spoiling me. It was literally the perfect life but this perfect life came crumbling down on my sweet sixteenth when an elder couple showed up at our house where we were hosting my birthday party and they revealed a huge secret which my parents had kept hidden from me for over sixteen years. The couple whose names were Daniel and Dori Castello told me that they were my grandparents and their son Lorenzo who they call Enzo for short was my real father and that they were here to have a relationship with me as per the agreement my parents had made with them when I was a baby. As you can imagine, this news came as a massive shock to me because I had always thought that the man who had raised me was my real father but he wasn't and being told that this wonderful man wasn't my dad hurt my heart which resulted in my birthday being ruined because I ended up getting into a huge fight with my parents who tried to explain everything to me but me being the stroppy teen that I was, I didn't want to hear what they had to say, so I stomped my little ass up to bed and I cried myself to sleep. The next day when I was a lot calmer and I was ready to hear them out, I sat down with my mom and dad and they explained everything to me about my biological father who from the sounds of things was a lying piece of s**t. According to my mom, she met Enzo when she was twenty and he was twenty four and she truly believed that he was the love of her life and that he was the man who she was going to marry and have kids with because he treated her like she was gold. They had been together for two years and they were always together, he would take her out on dates and would buy her gifts all of the time, my mom said that it was everything a relationship was supposed to be like, so when she found out she was pregnant with me, they were beyond excited and had even got engaged to each other as well but then everything changed when she received a visit from Enzo's mom who told her that he had been lying to her about everything. Apparently, my biological father is a married man who has been with his wife Rumi ever since he was eighteen and at the time, they were parents to three sons Lorenzo Junior, Luciano and Reno and his wife was pregnant with twins as well which makes him an even bigger piece of s**t for cheating on his wife and kids. Dori also revealed that her son wasn't as rich as he made out he was and he wasn't a CEO who is running a million dollar conglomerate in the big city either, he's a biker who is the vice president of the Steele Vipers MC where he runs a garage and tattoos people for a living. This shocked my mother to her core because Enzo had always acted like money wasn't an issue and he had even gifted her with an expensive engagement ring, so how was he able to afford all of these expensive luxuries as a tattoo artist? his parents, that's how because they were the rich ones, not him. Don't get me wrong, my mom has never been money driven and she's never been a materialistic person either, so she didn't care about him not being rich, she cared more about him lying to her when he had no reason to, especially since they were building a life together. This is what made her angry, not the money or lack there of but nothing made her angrier then when he left her holding the baby because she refused to be his sidechick, the man was willing to do whatever it takes to keep my mom and me by his side but she wasn't willing to be second place to anyone and she certainly wasn't going to let him treat me as second best to his other kids so she walked away. This really pissed me off because my mom is the sweetest, kindest and most generous woman in the whole world, she's the kind of woman you marry and treat like a freaking queen, not like some w***e who you keep on the side lines to satisfy and entertain you when you're bored with your wife. Anyway, my mom ended things with him and he offered to provide support for me and keep the door open for us to have a relationship with each other in the future which she agreed to and she kept the money in a bank account for me but I didn't want it because it's dirty money, in my opinion and I certainly didn't want to see him either. Mario Lopez was my father, not Lorenzo Castello. After my birthday, we got on with our lives and we completely forgot all about my biological dad and his parents for five whole years and everything was going great for us until a few weeks ago when I received a phone call from my dad's best friend Preston who told me that my parents had been killed in a head on collision by a drunk driver when they were coming home from a date. In a way, I was happy that they had died together and that their deaths were quick and painless but at the same time, I was completely and utterly devastated and my grief left me in a deep state of depression. Luckily for me, I had my parents best friends and my godparents, Preston and Evelyn by my side through everything along with my boyfriend Dante DeLuca who have helped me get through this incredibly dark and difficult time in my life. I met Dante not long after my eighteenth birthday, so we've been together for almost three years now and I can honestly say that I've never been happier or more in love than I am with him. We met through his sister Rosamaria who is my age and I was immediately enamoured with him and also his family as well who are all full blooded Italians with very strong personalities but they're the sweetest people ever and they've always treated me like I was one of their own from the very moment Dante brought me home to them. They're all amazing and lovable people who have been like a second family to me which is part of the reason why today was made even harder than it should have been because not long after we had buried my parents, I discovered a secret about my boyfriend which left me feeling even more heartbroken and devastated than I already was because it wasn't just Dante who had kept a secret from me, it was his whole damn family as well.
