Karli was exhausted. They’d been going in circles all day. The only thing they’d figured out was that Cade was determined to talk to Raina, and Karli was not telling him a thing about her.
If Raina knew anything, she would have come forward. She would have told Marcus or even Karli, but Raina didn’t know anything about Damon or his organization. Karli refused to let Cade, or anyone, threaten Raina or make her feel like she was just as guilty as the monster she once thought she loved.
“We’re getting nowhere,” Cade said, sounding as exhausted as Karli felt. “I think we need to call it quits for tonight and start fresh tomorrow.”
