Karli barely remembered the rest of the day. When Marcus said Frannie might have encountered Damon years ago, and that he almost killed her, Karli felt like she’d been kicked in the gut. One man who was tied to all of them. One man who caused so much havoc.
Her heart ached for Tonya and Edie. For the hell she was sure Edie was going through, or had been through. Tonya was strong for not backing down. For being willing to stand up and say something wasn’t right and that her cousin deserved better than to be forgotten. Too many people, especially women who looked like them, were forgotten. Never a second thought.
