" Kitty! Guess what!"
" Jesus! Matt! Are you crazy?"
" Sorry. But I have to tell you something."
" I was eating. This better be important."
I was eating alone, so I don't mind he came. On the other hand, I mind the way he scared me and on top of that called me Kitty.
" It is. So you remember this morning, when we hugged." I blush.
" Well, everyone saw. Including Jacob."
" And why should I care?"
" You should because for some reason he was jealous." Now this I like to hear, I'm all ears.
" How do you know? "
" Well remember that they didn't take me off the group chat? Well they started writing on it about us. And they think we're dating, and now Jake wants to try and get you back in some way. He looks quite interested in you, now that you're taken."
" But I'm not taken, and I'm pretty sure they will find out soon."
" Not if we pretend to date."
" No way. No one will believe us, everyone knows that we hate each other. And what do you care if we do pretend?"
" Everyone believed us this morning. We can just do a bunch of couple stuff and they'll believe us. And if we pretend, I'll get a bunch new friends and attention and you'll get back at Jake, and maybe have a chance." I don't talk for a while and this idea sounds very nice.
" Alright, we can pretend. But, we have to set some rules."
" Are you serious?"
" Yes I am. I've never had a boyfriend before, and I wouldn't want to miss all the good stuff about my first relationship by doing it in a fake relationship. So we can do this my way, or no deal."
" Ok, ok. As you want."
" Ok then, come to my place once you finish school."
" Can't we go to your place together?"
" No, I finish before you and I don't want to wait an hour."
" Fine, see you then."
