They were rounding the base of the hill. Not long and they would be entering Cofete from the southwest. She could see the back of the restaurant up ahead. She scanned the village. There was no sign of anyone. The tour bus stood out like a beacon with its zebra stripes, reinforcing their predicament and the long wait until the morning when they could leave. With her new knowledge she was furtive and eager to escape detection. By now everyone would be in the village, Salvador, Simon and Francois having had plenty of time to complete their inspection of Villa Winter. She wanted to hurry but her legs felt like lead.
