Finding Finnagan

Finnagans scent was easy to follow. His thick scent of evergreens and spice lead me to the edge of the territory. I stepped over the boundary line and heard a twig snap behind me. I turned looking into the eyes of Cassidy. Kogua blocked me behind his body.
" You're going to pick this lowly omega over your family! She's nothing and I'll prove it! "
I saw the silver shining in her hand as I pushed Kogua away from me. His body stumbled as I darted into the woods outside of the territory. I could hear gunshots as I ran. I felt a hot feeling running up my arm. I stumbled through the trees as I felt the heat spreading. I tripped over a tree root. I tried to get up but I felt heavy. I could hear noises but I felt nothing before my eyes were covered in black.
I could feel a strong pressure against my arm, I was abke to finally open my eyes and I saw Finnagan and Holly. I looked around wondering where I was. Finnagan moved my hair out of my face.
" Quinn! oh thank the Goddess your okay! "
I had questions but I couldnt form words with my mouth. They seemed to be all stumbling on each other trying to get out. I was trying to put together what happened when I felt a hand touch mine. Warm and comforting and I instantly turned to meet the green eyes of the man that left his life for me.
" Kogua. "
His name rolled off my tongue like honey off a spoon. Like sugar into tea, natural and sweet. Hebpresse a kiss to my forehead. I looked at his arm which was cut deeply. I panicked what the hell had happened? He looked at me and moved his arm from my view.
" Quinn it's okay it's just a scratch. "
I narrowed my eyes knowing damn well what I saw was more than a scratch.
" The hell it was Kogua! What happened! "
Kogua looked at Finnagan he sighed and looked bavk at me when he realized Finn was not going to help him. Kogua sat down next to me. I was slowly figuring out we were in some kind of bunker. Maybe a hidden house or barn. Who knows with Finnagan.
" Cassidy had tranquilizers in the gun. One hit your arm and the second your leg. I was able to get them out quickly but Cassidy was ready to stab you with a silver knife before you woke up. She missed stabbing me instead. As you know silver takes longer to heal than anything else. If it heals at all. "
I didn't understand why he would risk anything for me. I'd never really been around mates before. My mother died when I was little and I don't remember much but them cuddling on the couch after dinner and watching old romcoms. Looking at the man infront of me I felt a warmth coursing through my body.
" He protected us while we couldn't. Kiss him. "
I felt my face heat up as Aryths voice filled my head. Her voice was soft was silky. I felt my mind melting as the thoughtbof kissing Kogua crossed my mind. In a heated moment of confusion for how I felt about that I tried to push myself up to stand. Kogua tried to help me but we ended up slipping and he landed on top of me. His chest pressed again mine and I felt everything through my thin clothes. The heat of his body sending a wave of heat to my core. Things I've never felt before filled my body. Koguas face was red from embarrassment and he pushed off me and left the room we were in. Finn started laughing as soon as Kogua closed the door.
" Holly my dear I think the kids have started to feel that pesky mate pull you complained about so damn much when I showed up. "
Holly rolled her eyes.
" That pesky mate bond is what kept you coming to the kitchen during my breaks and asking me to share a piece of cake with you so you wouldn't feel so fat. Only for you to turn around and eat the whole cake. "
Finnagan smiled lovingly at Holly. His eyes full of emotions I was happy to see him with eyes other than sorrow. He deserved happiness and Holly.
" I'd eat anything you cooked my beautiful mate. You made my life good again. "
She smirked at him.
" Only good? "
Finnagan gave her a quick kiss.
" Amazing, spectacular, beautiful, you make my life better. All I need in this life is you and Quinn. "
They both looked at me and smiled. The warm feeling they gave me was different from Koguas. He made me feel things my body never did before. When Kogua opened the door and came back in his face was calm and he didn't seem as flustered as before.
" Sorry about that, I'm not used to being so close to you yet. The suddenness caught me off guard. "
Finnagan let out a deep belly laugh. It echoed around the room and we all looked at him. Koguas face getting red again.
" Finny! Leave the boy alone. He did save our Quinn from his crazy sister. "
Kogua smiled proudly.
" I'm laughing because I know what he ran away from and it wasn't the closeness or Quinn he was running from was it boy? "
Kogua tried talking but hus gave was just beating up with a deep red blush.
" I am an alpha sir and you should..."
Finnagan was serious when he looked at Kogua.
" Boy you gave up your title your just Kogua now, Your not an Alpha anymore. You choose Quinn remember? "
Kogua looked at me, his eyes held the same happiness Finnagans did when he looked at Holly.
" I'd choose to follow Quinn anywhere in this world. "
