She is a college student living with her struggling single mother, who despite all hardship, strives to maintain a healthy life for her daughter and give her the best education. Candice makes an encounter with a total stranger, they parted ways not knowing what fate had written. The stranger, Brad Bentley, is a billionaire and mafia, business tycoon, feared by many. He became Candice stepfather overnight, bringing them united again and that created such an awkward environment for cohabiting. Unfortunately, they began to grow on each other, having intimate feelings in secret and denying themselves the happiness they deserve. But time tells eventually, but does that mean they ended up together, or they separated eventually? That is exactly what we are going to find out while reading this book.

Chapter 1 Night to remember
“Who the hell was the man I f****d last night?” Candice Hallmark laid on her bed and rolled over, burying her face into her pillow and groaned softly. Her cheeks burned as memories from the previous night replayed endlessly in her head. The s*x last night was the best thing that had ever happened to her. The touch of his hands, his deep voice, and the overwhelming pleasure she had never experienced before, one that she never knew existed. At twenty years old, Candice had never imagined one reckless night could leave her so confused. She rolled onto her back and stared blankly at the ceiling of her tiny room. She did not even know his name. Everything had started at the Wilton Bar inside Wilton Hotel, when she had been called in for an ushering job, desperately hoping to earn enough money for her tuition fees. But the moment she arrived in the humiliating bunny outfit they had provided, she discovered her shift had already been given to someone else. Furious as she was, she immediately called her best friend immediately. Reyna had been the one to link her with the job for that night. “Reyna, someone else took my job tonight. How do you explain that?” Candice snapped the moment the call connected. “Oh my God, Candice, I’m so sorry,” Reyna apologized quickly. “I forgot to tell you. Your shift was moved to the day after tomorrow.” “What? Reyna, I need money before tomorrow morning. Exams are starting soon, and I can’t even register because apparently I owe twelve thousand dollars from last academic session and another twelve thousand for this session.” She rubbed her forehead in frustration before continuing bitterly. “That’s a whole twenty-four thousand dollars, Reyna. I only need to pay at least half for now, and I barely have one thousand. My mom only managed to save six thousand, you know how hard things have been for us. You know my story Reyna, I have a struggling mother and no supportive dad. Or, are you going to provide the money for my tuition?” “Give me a minute,” Reyna replied quickly. “I’ll call Andre and see if he can find another spot for you tonight.” “You better.” Unfortunately, there was no available position. Andre was the head manager of Wilton Bar and a close friend of Reyna. Candice, however, could barely tolerate him, there exist some level of hostility between them. From the moment they met, Andre had made his intentions painfully obvious. At first, he constantly begged her for s*x. When that failed, he realized she wasn’t the call girl type and switched tactics and started pretending to pursue her seriously. “He just wants to get into my pants,” Candice had once complained to Reyna. Reyna had only laughed. “Which man doesn’t?” Now Candice stood near the entrance of the hotel, painfully aware of how revealing her outfit was. Men passing by stared openly at her body without shame. Some smiled mischievously at her, while others slowly licked their lips as their eyes wandered over her exposed thighs and waist. Candice folded her arms tightly across her chest, wishing she could disappear. A few minutes later, Andre approached her with his usual arrogant expression. “I already told you your shift is the day after tomorrow,” he said. “But if you want to stand here looking pretty for my customers, I honestly don’t mind.” Candice rolled her eyes in annoyance. “You know I need this money, Andre.” “By all indications, yes, I know you do.” His gaze darkened slightly. “And trust me, I’ve tried helping you. All you had to do was spend one night with me, and I would’ve paid your tuition for the entire session.” He reached out to touch her arm, but Candice quickly stepped back. “Don’t touch me.” Before Andre could respond, a male voice suddenly interrupted from behind them. “Olivia?” Both Candice and Andre turned toward the man standing a few feet away. “Are you Olivia?” the man asked again, louder this time. Candice froze for a second before quickly nodding. “Yes. Yes, I am.” The man walked closer and handed her a key card. “Your client has been waiting in Room 107 for over twenty minutes,” he informed her impatiently. “Go now. And be informed that you will not receive even a dime if your client isn’t satisfied. You better prepare yourself and mind.” Candice took the card immediately. Without giving herself time to think, she hurried away from Andre and entered the hotel lobby. Anywhere far from Andre was paradise. Her heart pounded violently as she stepped into the elevator. She knew exactly what was happening. Olivia was obviously a call girl and she had just stolen her identity. Candice leaned against the elevator wall and released a shaky breath. She should have been terrified, instead, all she could think about was the money she desperately needed. At that moment, sleeping with a complete stranger sounded far better than accepting help from a man like Andre. Still, her stomach twisted nervously. Whoever this client was, she doubted he would be young. Probably some old businessman in his sixties, maybe younger in his fifties. Or no, maybe older in his seventies. She shook her head, the disgusting thought made her shiver. As the elevator doors slowly opened on the top floor, Candice tightened her grip on the key card and forced herself to walk forward toward Room 107. Candice slowly pushed open the door to Room 107, her trembling fingers tightening around the key card. Her heart pounded violently against her chest as she stepped inside. “Hello?” she called softly. The suite looked empty at first glance, but expensive belongings scattered around the room made it obvious that someone was staying there. Suddenly, a deep baritone voice broke the silence that existed. “Who the f**k are you?” Candice gasped and turned around immediately. The sight before her nearly stole her breath away. A young man stood a few feet behind her with only a towel wrapped around his waist. Water still dripped lightly from his really dark raven-like hair onto his broad, muscular chest. Candice froze. He was unbelievably handsome. His blue eyes carried an intimidating coldness, while his thick raven-black hair framed sharp features that looked almost unreal. He did not look like someone she would ever meet in real life, he looked like a Greek god. Those often described in books, and made to look like on TVs. “I asked you a question,” he repeated. Candice forced herself to look away from his chest and meet his icy gaze. The annoyance was written all over his face instantly making her nervous. “I... I was given this card,” she stammered, quickly holding up the key card. The man stared at it briefly before walking toward her slowly. The closer he got, the more overwhelming his presence became. “Go freshen up,” he instructed coldly. “And be back in less than five minutes.” It was a simple command, yet Candice felt her entire body shake under the weight of his voice. He had this indescribable aura, something dangerous about him, something that warned her not to disobey. Without another word, she hurried into the bathroom. The moment the door closed behind her, she released a shaky breath and looked around nervously. A small towel rested neatly on the counter. Candice picked it up and let out a nervous laugh. “Am I supposed to wear this out? Or go to him naked?” she muttered to herself. Her cheeks burned with embarrassment, but she quickly reminded herself why she was there. Either way, it was what she signed up for, so she would take charge of her actions. She needed the money. Back in the room, the man sat impatiently at the edge of the bed, occasionally glancing at his expensive wristwatch. “What the hell is taking so long?” he muttered under his breath. A few moments later, he raised his voice slightly. “Are the waters too cold or too hot? Because I don’t see any f*****g reason why you should be wasting my time.” Candice nearly jumped at the sound of his voice outside the bathroom door. She realized she had stayed too long and quickly wrapped the towel around herself and stepped out carefully. The man’s eyes landed on her immediately, then changed into a questioning one. “If you aren’t up for this, then you can leave,” he said flatly. “No!” Candice replied too quickly. “Then get on this damn bed,” he ordered, speaking through his teeth. Candice definitely has been getting on his nerves. She walked slowly to the bed, and climbed onto the silk sheets. The closer she got, the more aware she became of how inexperienced she truly was. Yet despite the fear twisting a tight knot in her stomach, something about him pulled her in completely. He reached out and gently pulled her closer until she was sitting beside him. His fingers brushed lightly against her cheek as he studied her face carefully, almost as if trying to understand something. He didn’t waste time. He reached for the knot of her towel and loosen it free. His eyes darkened immediately, tracking the curve of her throat and the rise and fall of her chest. He then leaned forward and kissed her. There was nothing gentle about his kiss, but Candice soon found herself responding without hesitation. Her fingers clutched his shoulders with instincts and warmth spread through her body. His mouth migrated, moving the heat towards her jawline, to the sensitive dip behind her ears, then down the length of her neck. A soft, involuntary moan escaped her then. His hands were everywhere. Every part of her body felt it. Mapping her skin, squeezing her breasts, the friction sending sparks through her nerves. The butterfly in belly she often heard, yes she can feel them now. When his mouth moved lower, capturing her breast, the sensation was so sharp and new that she arched off the bed, welcoming and inviting him for more. He shifted his weight around her, moving his hand to slide down the length of her stomach to the heat between her thighs. He pushed two fingers down her middle juice. But the moment his fingers made contact, Candice gasped, a sharp sound of shock and slight pain. The man suddenly paused and his sharp blue eyes widened from realization. “First time?” Candice’s heartbeat stopped. She wanted to lie, but under his intense gaze, she could not bring herself to do it. “Yes,” she whispered softly. “Then why the f**k did you agree to this?” he demanded, frustration flashing across his face. He started to pull away, but Candice’s hands grabbed him quick. “No. No, please. Don’t stop.” “You want the money?” He asked again and let out an oppressive laugh. But Candice remained quiet. She lowered her eyes in embarrassment. He then stood up and ran a hand through his hair. Then he sighed, dropping his shoulders as one who is exhausted, but in the next minute his eyes lit up dark and cold, and his expression suddenly became more intimidating, not as any Candice had seen in her entire life. He leaned closer towards Candice and sat beside her. His gaze remained fixed on her the entire time. He then voice out filling her ears with his baritone tone, “then get the f**k out of my suite. I don’t do virgins.” “No sir please. Don’t chase me away, I need the money,” she pleaded softly. She whispered honestly. “I want this.” He cups her roughly and studies her for several seconds, before quietly voicing out, “be careful what you wish for, sweetheart.” Then slowly, he reaches out and brushes a strand of her hair behind her ears. His touch was gentle but yet at the same time, Candice could feel the heat and terrifying aura, cowering around her. “You must either be the dumbest or bravest woman I’ve ever met.” He releases his strong grip on her and now gently held her chin, like a delicate flower. His gaze remain fixed in hers, like a hungry predator waiting for the right moment to devour his hunt. “Either way, we find out by morning.” For several long seconds, he simply stared at her with those piercing blue eyes, searching for any sign of doubt. When he found none, he slowly leaned closer, his movements now became deliberate and surprisingly gentle as he reclaim her lips. He pulled out his full length and stretched her legs apart. He cowered above her like a protective shield, and lowered himself to the sides of her ears and whispered, “Once I start… I don’t finish.” “Ah—“
