As I stepped out of the packhouse I instantly shifted as I jumped off from the first step. Amethysts paws hit the ground and I felt her smile and lunge out and sprint. A small growl escaped her lips as she took off towards the woods. We were running so hard and fast I could feel branches and twigs breaking against our body. Luckily I was a wolf and would heal quickly. Soon I found a perfect spot nestled between the river and large mountains in a little valley. I laid in the brush and tree line and watched and waited. I listened to every noise and sniffed for any unknown scents. I stayed there for hours before moving a muscle.
