Chapter 4: Finding My Mate

Time was running so fast, the full moon was approaching soon and I would be eighteen very soon also.

It was a really sunny Monday, I walked into my mother’s chambers to discuss what was on my mind with her.

“Hi momma, how are you doing?”

“Hey Xavier baby, you returned from school earlier than usual today is everything alright?”

“I didn’t attend at all, I was feeling sick so I decided to stay at home to rest…..I just think it’s stress that’s all”

“Hmmmm…. Not only school is stressing my boy Yh?”

“You know me so well……lol….well!!, it’s about my mate, how does the council want me to find my mate out of the blue, can’t they hold a gathering or something and invite almost everyone in the town instead of stressing me.”

Arggggghh…..

“Ha ha… you are going to be an Alpha soon my child and the whole pack would be depending on your judgment and strength so start from this moment to build yourself into an alpha that the pack can trust”

“I’m just tired mum, you told me going to this school would make it easier to find her but it isn’t working”.

I just had this feeling inside me that she wasn’t going to assist me…. Buh this is torture and not fair. Where…..on….earth…..!!!! f**k!!!!!.

Charlotte was a blondie, she was light skinned, slim and preety…. I personally picked her to accomplish this task, she had done similar things to this so i had the feeling she would do it perfectly.

These past few weeks has been something else, I kept having those strange dreams accompanied by stress, in the dreams they kept on calling me Meredith and I didn’t know why.

The one person who made these weeks worth surviving was Claire, we had become really inseparable from each other…….I got to meet her wealthy parents, been to her place a couple of times, she learnt new things from her, makeup and other stuff,…… I shared part of my family story with her though, how I’m not cared for and the I’ll treatment my mum gives me.

She gave me some of her old and new stuffs like hair care , clothes and lots of them…… I was feeling fly these past weeks that had passed but I didn’t know my smiling face wouldn’t last for so long.

I got back from school earlier today and no one was at home, I think the girls aren’t back from school yet, mum went to her flower store and dad works in his father’s company as the manager……Yh, my family is well to do but it doesn’t seem like it when you look at me.

I got into my room and it was so messed up, I did it earlier this morning when I was hurrying to go to school…I couldn’t find a better dress to wear…….urghhhhh…. and I’m so tired now..

While trying to put back some of my clothes into the wardrobe and arrange the room…. The house door opened and someone came in……it has to be the girls I think….

So I continued what I was doing not until my room door opened slowly with no one coming in or saying anything……strange things had been happening to me since I started having those dreams sometimes I feel like someone is following me or talking in my head….. I quickly tip toed to my flower vase on my table and waited for the intruder to come in.

When the person’s face showed I screamed and rushed to hit…..but found out it was Clair.

“Man!!!…..you had to see your face, lol….ooh my good gracious, my tummy hurts real bad…..lol

”ma’am can you please stop laughing already, you literally scared the crap outta me ….. why wouldn’t I be scared when you walked in without knocking or saying anything or you expect me to laugh

“What are you doing here uninvited by the way and you weren’t in school today either”

“Ohkii…I was sick, I had this bad cough so mum insisted I stay at home and take those horrible soups…..ewwwww…..and for what I’m doing here, I came to invite you for Leo’s birthday party, he invited everyone ”

“I was invited ma’am, so count me out”

“Really…. What part of he invited everyone didn’t you understand? By the way have you ever been to a party ever? Isn’t your life a little too boring just add some spice to it….you are going to have fun just accept pleaseee..

”eehhh….do not give me those eyes, my parents wouldn’t let me leave the house for a party at night“.

”who f*****g cares about your parents, you don’t need to tell them“

”of course …if they knew they would separate my head from my body, so are you coming?“.

”I do not have clothes to wear to a party so no I’m not“

”I’m going to lend you a preety dress…common!!!

Aradia you are stressing this princess in front of you“.

”Dad I’m sick and tired of this lifestyle, everything is about you, your reputation and f*****g business “

”watch your mouth boy! You shouldn’t be yelling, I should be the one doing that, I have done everything a father could do for a son but what did you do in return? You take drugs, smoke and have refused to portray a responsible behavior in school “.

He threw his fist on my jaw and stopped me from completing my statement, my mum kept on sobbing on the other corner, I couldn’t do anything but glare at him…

“Wow…world best dad thank you for wishing me a happy birthday”.

I walked out of the sitting room and slammed the door on my way out, I got into mum’s car and drove out…..while driving out a guy in black hoodie was waiting for me at the end of the street so I stuck my hand out gave him some dollar notes and he put wrapped stuff in my hand in return.

My dad bought a house for me in kingsbridge when I was fifteen, that’s where I was heading too, I had set the place ready for the party.

While going through some old pictures after saying my prayers and completed some rituals, I was about leaving the room when my crystal ball started shaking, it glowed for some seconds then it dimmed, this only happens when when it has something to reveal to me.

I went closer and murmured some words.

Oooh myy!!!…. Finally it is here, I finally found her…. I have seen his mate.

But there is a problem….shit!!!

After seeing this I turned the crystal ball of by murmuring same words as before am…. I walked out of my chambers quietly with sadness over my face.

I had found his mate but there was a bigger problem, it seems he had met her already and had marked her without my knowledge and I’m so sure the council would be pissed at this union of two different breeds.
