It has been a week since the prophesy foretold by the Witch and Dyce is sitting at the gate tower on guard duty. As he absentmindedly stares out the window, he sees the most beautiful women crawling on hands and foot towards a stall whose owner was being preoccupied with a customer. She had blonde hair that was almost white; her skin was a rich tan color due to many hours out in the sun. She was dressed in black shorts that clung to her every curve. They were torn, along with the hymn, but that only enhanced the woman’s behind. Her shirt was canary yellow with thin straps and was ruffled up around her firm breasts, only to cling around her stomach. It was about an inch too short and revealed her hip bones and the flat part of her lower belly. My was she gorgeous, but what was she up to? Fascinated, he continued to watch the scene. All of a sudden, a strange-looking tailless dog appears out of nowhere and grabs a string of sausages from the shop owner’s hand. In lightning quick movements, the girl leaps up and grabs a vile of some sort, only to see the dog about to be whipped by the guard patrol on the ground below. She rushes in front of the dog and takes the full blow of the whip right across the chest. The whip was swung with such ferocious force it cut through her thin shirt to reveal a six inch bloody red line running diagonal between her breasts. She is barring it all in front of strange men but doesn’t flinch. In an instant, she scoops up the dog and bolts up the nearest building onto the rooftops. She is gone like the morning mist. The people down below are milling around in confusion. What the hell just happened? And who was that woman and the strange-looking dog?
Soon there is frantic knocking at his door in the guard tower. “Come in” Dyce yells. “Sir, there was a Pirate ship out in the bay. They have not docked, yet now my men cannot find the ship. We have looked everywhere and we fear they are up to no good. We had a theft in the market place by a woman and we believe she is somehow associated with this mysterious Pirate ship. We can’t find the woman either. What should we do?” asked Dyce’s second in command.
“When did you notice the ship was gone? Before or after the incident with the woman?”
“Before, sir.”
“Very good. If her ship left without her, then she is obviously still here. Search every nook and cranny. Tonight is the royal dinner and we cannot have any incidents. The Queen needs to impress the other royals and prove to them she is doing a fine job of running the kingdom. King Rufus is itching to get his hands on our land and she refuses to give him any reason to doubt her.”
“Aye, aye sir. We will report back before the dinner on our progress.” And with that the second in command marches out of the guard tower in search of the mystery women and the ship.
