Mated to the Dragon Prince

Anna- At the age of one I was dropped off at a shelter for kids because my birth mom could not afford me anymore. After some time though I got adopted by a new family one that had no love or mercy for me except for one of my brothers. I spend time in my room alone often hiding from them and their torment. A knock on the door pulls me from my thoughts. "Come in" I called. My oldest brother, Maddox comes in. He is the only one in this family who took care of me and loves me. I have two other brothers, Caleb and Ethan but they have fun being mean and pushing me around. "Dad coming back from drinking, stay in here and keep the door locked, pretend to be asleep." He says before ducking back out. I quickly run to the door and lock before running to my bed and hiding. Melvin was my adopted dad and when he drank he either beat me or touched and both were painful. I used to hope that I could leave my body whenever he would start. Just be a spirit floating away, far away from this suffering. Feeling tired I slowly let my self succumb to sleep. In the morning I quickly find a blue t-shirt and one of my brother old pair of jeans that he gave me. Grabbing a worn out black belt I get it on my pants to help them stay up. Last thing I get is some old socks that have a small hole on each one and my worn out white and black shoes. Looking at myself I feel disgusted, I'm still showing to much skin. I start getting a Flashback of the first night he touched me. I was about 5 or 6 and had fallen asleep. I didn't have a door lock yet since my room used to be a walk in closet but; Lisa my adopted mom; never felt the need that I should get one. However After he made his way in caressing me awake before making me do things and leaving me naked and bruised, she got me a lock the next day. Coming out of my trance I start quietly sobbing and quickly finding my oversized gray hoodie. Today was supposed to be hot but I could not bare for any of my skin to be shown. Rocking back and forth the sensation calms me down enough to head downstairs. When I make it the kitchen Maddox tosses me an apple and tries to hurry me back out the kitchen. "Where are you two going?" Melvin calls with a hint of anger in his voice. Maddox freezes holding to his chest from Melvin veiw. I try to hold my fear in afraid of Melvin seeing it. "I'm taking Anna to the doctor today because she not feeling good." Maddox Says slowly. I feel his chest rise and fall with him still holding close to it. Maddox never had to fear his dad because Melvin only ever hurt me. However he hates seeing his dad hurt me and any chance he can he avoids it. Lisa walks over and gently pulls me from Maddox and puts her hand on my forehead. "You do seem to be warm today." She sighs. Lisa has blonde hair and blue eyes with full lips and a tan Maddox and Ethan look alot like her except Maddox has brown eyes like his dad. "It's hot outside take the hoodie off." Melvin says smirking looking me up and down. I shiver at his look and shake my head. "that was not a request." He warns. his black hair was shaved down to tiny strands and I look over seeing him run his hands along it. With shaky hands I take my hoodie off and hold it to my body for dear life. Ever since I was 13 and I got my curves and starting getting round in certain places I have done everything I can to hide them. "Maddox take her hoodie back to her room, she not going to need it today." He demands. I look over to Maddox slowly giving him my hoodie and plead with my eyes to not leave me. He mouths "I'll be quick," and hurried off. Looking back at Melvin I can see he staring at my chest. I quickly cover then feeling to exposed. Lisa walks up and scuffs at my outfit. I started working when I turned 18 at the home for kids in hopes I would meet my biological mom. However that was two years ago and their still no sigh of her. Since I started though Lisa been wanting me to buy clothes to fit my curves, that way she can brag about how she adopted me. looking at the time on the wall I smile. "I have to head to work." I tell them , mostly to Melvin. "Not without my hug." He grins mischievously. "No time dad." Maddox says before gently grabbing my arm and leading me to the door. I hear his dad mumble something but feel relief when I don't see him following. "Thank you." I tell Maddox when we walk outside. He shrugs like it was no big deal and starts walking down the road making me go after him. ___________________________________________ Darshan- My 99th birthday was coming up next week and my parents had some news for the entire kingdom. I was itching to know but they refused to tell me, they wanted it to be a surprise. I had three dads and one mom all mated to eachother. I had not found a single mate though and was feeling pretty lonely about it. I always dreamed about what she could be like or how sweet her voice must be. Sighing I get ready for the day and meet my parents downstairs. My mom was sitting on my dad Silas lap eating pancakes. my other two Dads, Matitus and Dragus were eating next to them. "Good morning sweetie." My mom says. I Look up meeting violet eyes. Just like her I have the same color eyes and her black hair. but I also got bronze skin like my dad matitus. I give a small smile before sitting down and eating some pancakes on my plate. My parents looking around at eachother talking through their mind link. "What is it you guys wanna ask"? I say annoyed. "Don't use that tone on us." My dad Silas warns. My mom gets up in a huff and walks over to me putting her hand on my shoulder. "We can see that your unhappy and we're worried about you." She says running her hand that was on my shoulder throught my hair. "I'm just lonely that all. " I tell her look back at my food. I don't know what it was but my heart felt like it was weighted down by this loneliness and I just wanted some release from it. "I have the perfect distraction for you son;" my dad Matitus says; "come help me out at the the home for kids today." "ok." I tell him. I genuinely enjoyed helping there I liked seeing them all smile and run around. Made me think about when I will finally have my own running around the castle. Standing up my dad Matitus comes up and ruffles my hair. "last one to the door is a rotten egg." I laugh and run after him. We both make it to the door at the same time and he grabs my shoulder playfully, "that my boy." He says. As soon as we step out I bump into my sister. She was pregnant and about to give birth to her second child. she met her mate 20 years ago. He was a common fae with silver eyes. "Hey Darshan and dad you guys going?" She asks looking at the two of us. She was more fae than dragon with resemblance of our mother. "Ya were heading to the home for kids, stay until we get back." Dad says pulling her in for a hug. she let's go and turns to me and we give eachother a side hug. With that me and dad walk outside and on our way to help the kids.
