Chapter - 24 - Steev's Happiest Day

Steev's POV :

“At first I was not confident at all about my dish. I was worried about the taste and about everyone’s response. But later on after listening to all the feedback I got lot of confidence and became very happy. All thanks to mom, Shika and John for boosting my confidence, and now I can confidently discover and prepare new and different dishes for all of you and myself as well.”, I replied mom very happily. “That is amazing to hear my son.”, said mom.

“Actually all thanks to you for getting this dish for us all the way to our home”, said Shika.

“Okay okay lets stop saying thank you and let’s stop being formal”, I said. “Shika can you please pass me a roti this roti is very tasty as well”, I said ( laughingly). “Oh yes sure why not, here is your roti.” Shika said passing me a roti. I happily took the roti and started eating it. “John shall I serve you one as well?”, Shikha asked John. “Yes Yes!! I too need one it's very tasty. ”,John replied. “Yes definitely, here you go.” ,said Shika. “I am going to have two more with this dish.”, Shika added.

We all were sitting together and having a very good conversation. After so many years I was having a good conversation while sitting in between many people and those people whom I love the most.

I never enjoyed sitting in between people and having food till date. “The day was my day.. My favorite day..”, I said myself proudly. This was the memory which I would never forget in my life.

I got a sudden thought. I was just thinking that why can't we stay together forever just like this. Then I said to myself that, first let me count my blessings, other than being selfish.

I knew self love and self comfort is the most important thing in a person's life. Expecting those happiness for ourselves will be not considered as being selfish but however I was happy with that present moment and I was not ready to spoil that beautiful moment.

After few minutes we all were done with our food and we were too full. One after another, one after another, we ate too much food and we were not even able to breathe.. Ha.. Ha.. It was because our stomach was too full. John asked me, “Steev, shall we leave now?”. I was not at all willing to go back home. “Why so fast? You all can sit for a while and then leave.”, Shika said. “Yes John! let us sit for a while and then leave.”, I said. “Yes sure.”, John said and winked at me.

We all were sitting on the sofa and talking and then mom came and sat next to me. I felt like my own mother was sitting next to me. She sat next to me and repeated once again that, Never ever feel that you are lonely or think that you are left out because your mother is not present around you. I am your mother as well, you can come to me anytime, I am there for you and Shika is here for you as well.”

This made me feel so emotional and more and more happy. “Yes mom here after I will never feel lonely or think that I am left alone. I have my mom now. I feel I made the right decision to come here today, God gave me the best gift of my life. The first thing which I am going to do today is thank my God for blessing me with such a beautiful people.

When I looked at the time it was 9 p.m. It was already very late, if we would delay much we would not get any auto to go back to our room, I realized that all of a sudden. And I said to Shika that, “Shika, I think now it's time for us to leave because it's 9 PM already and we will not get any auto after 9:30 PM to go back to the room.” Shika said, “Don't you worry Steve and John, I have my car we can travel by that. I will drop you guys back.” “Yes you have a car and you can drop us but the thing is it's not safe for you to travel back home all alone after dropping us.”, I said. “Yes Steev is right, it's not safe for you travel alone after you drop us.”, John added. “Don't worry Shika, we will go by ourselves. And one more thing.. we are leaving right now but we will come back soon some other day.”, I said. “Yes Steev you should come.”, Shika replied. “Okay Steev you take care and John u too.”, Shika added.

“Yes Shika, don't worry”, I said and I went towards mom and I touched her feet and hugged her and said, “Bye mom see you some other day, please take care of your health.” “Sure my dear son, I will take care of myself and you and John also take care of yourselves.”, mom replied. “Yes mom sure, good night and good night to you too Shika.”, I said. John and I said bye to both of them and then we left from there. I was thinking that so fast the time flew and now it's time to go back home. We both enjoyed a lot with them. And then we both started walking towards the auto stand where there will be autos. As we reach near the auto stand we found a auto standing over there. We sat in that auto and left towards our room. It was 20 minutes journey for us but those 20 minutes were all worth it. As we were travelling I said to John that, “Isn't this so beautiful that I found my mom in Shika’s mom?” 

“Yes Steev, I am really very happy with what happened today. And yes you are indeed very lucky person, did you understand that you are a lucky person and now here onwards never blame yourself or blame anyone that you are not lucky. God has beautiful plans for you so be happy and watch out.”, Said John. “Yes John you are right, God has very beautiful plans for me. And you know that I trust in my lord.”, I said.
