Chapter - 135 - John's Cookery

Steev's POV :

"Hey Steev, I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you something.", said John. "No problem, now you say it.", I said. "Yes, what happened today morning is that, I suddenly woke up around 6:00 a. m. and I just opened my social media and thought of checking it out and when I saw there was Sophia's message saying, "good morning", that's why even I to replied her, by the time I replied. When I messaged her I saw that, she was online and she quickly replied to me once again soon after seeing my message. After that we were chatting with each other for few minutes. Then, she asked me what we were going to prepare for breakfast today. As we really did not know what we were going to prepare today, I told her I was not sure about it. So she suggested me to prepare pulau recipe. So I said that I was unaware of the exact recipe for that that's why she told me she would be guiding me and due to which we did a video call and all that happened.", John said. "Oh I see. This was the matter. That's great.", I replied. "Yes yes exactly. I think ten minutes are over, shall we go eat our breakfast?", said John. "Yes of course, I am waiting for it. Let's go. ", I replied. John and I went inside and entered the kitchen. We took two plates and served pulau in the plates, took our coffee cups and went to the room and sat for having our breakfast. I was first of all hungry and when I saw that delicious food I was even more hungry and was not able to control myself. "John, it looks so delicious. I cannot wait to have this tasty food.", I said. "Yes of course have it. I have prepared this for us to eat, right.", Said John. I tasted the first bite of the food. When I tasted and checked it was tasteless. I realised John did not add salt at all. But I did not wanted him to feel bad if I suddenly tell it to him but I couldn't even sit without telling it to him that's why I was really confused what to be done. In that confusion I did not tell anything to him I just had that bite and give him a smile. "How is it? Did you like it?", he asked. As I did not wanted to hurt him, I just thought of telling him that it was really tasty. However once when he would taste it, he would automatically come to know that how the food tastes. So I played safe. "This is nice for me, I liked it.", I replied. I just reply in a neutral way and I did not even exaggerate or I did not even under reply. "Is it... I'm glad you liked it. I will taste it now.", John said. "Okay you taste it and see.", I said. John took a bite of the pulau which he had prepared. After putting it in his mouth, he said..., "Oh God, what is this.. this is extremely tasteless, how are you even eating this?", "I said na, it wat nice for me, then I do not know how you would feel.", I replied. "Oh is it.. I know why you said like that, because you did not wanted to hurt me, that's why. Am I right?", he said. "Mmm.. nothing like that John..", I replied. "I know everything, you don't even know to act, so you better stop it.", said John. "Okay cool.. ", I said. By the time we were having the conversation regarding the food, we saw that suddenly someone standing near the entrance of our house. When we so properly it was another than Sophia. I was wondering why was she there early in the morning. By looking at Sophia, John got up to welcome her. "Hey Sophia, come in.. Good to see you", he said. "Hey John, good to see your too.", she replied. "Hey Sophia, how are you?", I said. "I am doing great, how about you?", she said. "I am fine too..", I replied. "That's great, actually John had invited me to taste the pulau that he prepared today, that's why I came early morning today.", she said. "Oh is it? That's great, please sit down.", I said. After telling her to sit down, I realised that the food that John had prepared was tasteless without any salt in it, so however John and I were sitting down already and I asked Sophia to sit as well. When I asked her to sit, she already sat down with us; due to which we were unable to tell her anything regarding the food. We were all trapped. I would never go to tell her about the taste of the food because I myself did not tell it to John so I would never tell it to her as well. It was only in John's hands, if he wanted to tell her about the taste or let her only decide about it after tasting the food. According to me I felt that it would be better if John would already tell her that he had not added the salt to the food as by mistake he forgot to add it. Instead of her tasting the food and giving some negative comment regarding the taste. But I did not poke my nose in there. Just wanted to let it be. However John had not committed any crime by not adding Salt. Salt could be added even later. Because less salt was better than more salt. If the Salt was less we could add extra salt to it anytime and make it perfect but if the salt would be more it would be really difficult for us to make it right because it was a rice item and there were no much options to make it right I felt. There would be some way which would be really difficult such as we would need to prepare extra rice and add to it and so on. I really had no idea or knowledge regarding that but I was just thinking about whatever I was knowing.
