Chapter - 124 - Confusion And Confession

Steev's POV :

John was also too much shocked to hear what Sophia did. " John you know what exactly Shika told Sophia? let me tell it to you in detail. " , I said. " Yes that's what I was asking to you from so long. " , said John. " Yes yes, now listen. Shika said that Sophia is not supposed to come to office with me in the morning and she is not supposed to come back home with me as well in the office she doesn't want Sophia to talk to me, she should neither ask any doubt regarding the work related stuffs nor talk a single word to me. Shika even said that Sophia is not supposed to sit with me or have lunch with me during the lunch hour. " , I said. " Didn't Sophia give her any answer for all that? " , John asked. " Yes she did. I will explain you one by one, John. " , I said. " Yes Steev, sure go ahead. " , said John. " Yesterday I was waiting for Sophia in the morning because I remembered Sophia had told me that she would be coming near our home in the morning and then we would be going to office together in the same auto because even we can share the auto charges it would be cheaper for us that was the plan, that's the reason I was waiting for Sophia for very long time but Shika had come to pick us up to you remember this John? , " , I asked. " Yes Steev, I remember. " yes what happened here was Sophia was on her way to come to our home in the morning to go to office but Shika stopped her way even she was near the lane and started talking to her regarding all of this things, and when the time had come to go to office Shika told Sophia that she would be coming to our house and picking us up and was going to drops to the office, so until we all leave from there Sophia was not supposed to come in front of us. Shika told Sophia that she should wait here near the lane and watch us slowly until we leave from there and after we left from there only then Sophia should come out and then leave for work. That is why I was wondering why was she so late to office yesterday, when I asked her she was unfortunately unable to tell the things to me but the reality was I was waiting for Sophia but she was unable to come out untill I left because she was told to do so and I feel it is so bad if someone will go through all that. , " I said. " Yes but Sophia should not have listened na, she should have given some Answer instead of agreeing. " , said John. " John, Sophia had to agree with Shika because Shika had threatened Sophia that if Sophia doesn't listen to Shika or doesn't follow what she said then Shika would be going to end her life so by listening to that Sophia was really scared and Sophia really felt that what if Shika really tries to attempt that, then Sophia should be forever under a guilt that because of her negligence or carelessness a person lost her life, isn't this something really a serious matter? That is why Sophia had no other choice and she did not even get time to think even for a second and that is why Sophia had no other choice but to agree with that and I think if anyone else would be in that place also might have done exactly what Sophia did because when someone threatens about giving up their life or if any matter comes in which we would be connected and if we ignored the situation then anything could happen the person's life could be on danger so when all such topics arise people's mind stops working and they just behave what the circumstance lets them to do, right?. " , I said. " Yes Steev you are right. If we stand in Sophia's place and see then yes ofcourse whatever she did is correct. atleast Sophia tried to handle the situation. If I was there in that place I would have messed up the situation badly. " , said John. " Yes same here. " , I replied. All of a sudden Sophia started crying a lot. She sat down on the ground and started crying. " Hey Sophia, please don't cry. Let's do something but please stop crying. " , I said. " Yes Sophia do not cry. We will handle the situation, please get up. And don't worry at all. " , said John. " Okay " , said Sophia. * Sophia gets up. * I was really feeling very bad for Sophia. What happened to her was really wrong. Shika was playing with Sophia's feelings. At that situation I did not know if I had to concentrate about the fact that Shika was in love with me or I should worry about what happened to Sophia. Instead of Shika creating a such a big issue, she could have atleast told me what she felt, what problem she had and so on. At least I would try to solve them. But instead of sitting and talking and clearing out the stuffs Shika choose violence over peace which was wrong. However I was meeting Shika the next day. So I had to really think what all things I needed to talk to Shika and clear. " John, Shika and I have made plan to meet tomorrow and go out somewhere. So I think tomorrow I can talk to her about all this and try to solve it. It would be fine right? " , I said. " Yes Steev, that would be fine. You go ahead with your idea. " , said John. I was really happy and excited that i was meeting Shika and we would be going out. But after Sophia's matter I was very sad and upset. All my excitement went in vain, instead of thinking what to be worn or instead of how to impress her I had to sit and think how to ask Shika abt whatever had happened the previous day. And it was so disturbing for me. Due to intense stress my mind had stopped working. I do not know what all things happened to me. " Hey Steev, are you going to ask Shika about whatever she told me yesterday? " , said Shika. " Yes of course, I would be asking. I want to come to an conclusion and end this matter soon. " , replied. " But what if she comes back and scolds me? or what if she takes any extrem step? " , asked Sophia. " No no you do not worry, we will not let that happen. " , I said. " Yes, that will not happen. " , added John. " What are you going to do tomorrow? " , Sophia asked. " No idea, what will happen. " , I said.

I was puzzled about how I would be talking to Shika. I did not want to hurt her or make her sad because after all she did that because she loved me. If I speak to her rudely she would be broken because she did all that because of the love which she had on me and If I only behave rudely then it would be wrong. So I decided to talk to Sikha calming and nicely so that she would understand the situation well and she would agree with what I say. " John, please guide me. " , I said. " Yes bro I am as you know i am always with you. " , replied John. " yes I know. " , I said. " Then shall we leave from here now? " , John asked. " Yes John, let's leave. " , I said. " Sophia, we are leaving now. See you later. If you have to talk to us or something you can anytime come to our house. Okay? " , I said. " Yes Steev, definitely. Thanks. " , Sophia replied. And then John and I left from Sophia's house towards our house but on the way we were only talking about how to calm down Shika, I know it was only in my hand to handle the situation and cool her down but I should have had some idea to make her calm down, I was really out of my mind and was not aware of what to talk and what not to talk it was really a sensitive topic and everything was in my hand. That's why I had to be very careful about what to be spoken. John and I finally reached our home. But I was not at all fine I was on some other dream world. I was thinking how to calm the matter down. " Hey Steev, why are you so upset? Why are you thinking too much? " , Asked John. " I do not know If I have to be happy that Shika loves me or I should worry about whatever she told to Sophia. " , I said. " Hmm.. yes this is something to be thought about. " , said John. " John, please tell me how do I react in front of Shika tomorrow when I meet her. Because she and I have made plans to meet tomorrow and go out somewhere. " , I said. " Okay, according to me what I feel is tomorrow when you meet her you just act normal with her, you do not go to ask her anything that happened today just be as you always be with her, okay. And once you both go out somewhere, sit together and spend good time with each other that time even her mood will be nice so you can take advantage of her good mood and then you can slowly try to start saying about what Sophia, you say about how Sophia behaved with you yesterday. You just casually say that how Sophia was behaving with you yesterday, tell her that she did not coming in morning, did not talk to you in the office, did not have lunch with you, not even listen to you when you call her and even did not come back home with you just escaped from you and then just wait and watch her reaction. You can check if Shika really would be guilty of what she said and would she agree or confess everything with you whatever she have done with Sophia or cunningly she would not be guilty of what she has done and she might hide the actual matter from you. Your first job tomorrow is to find out whether Shika will be telling the truth to you or she would be hiding the truth from you this would be your first step did you get this? you will understand the actual fees of Shika if she is truth teller or truth hider. " , said John. And whatever John said I felt it was correct I was no one to judge Shika but at that point of time I had to follow what John said to be because my situation was on such a peak that I had no other choice than testing her first and later on my move would completely depend on Shika would be answering or behaving for what I say with her, I thought.

So my first step was clear for me. And after that I had to think about two possibilities. One, what if Shika tells me the truth, second, what if Shika hides the truth from me and tells lie.
