THE DRAMATIC LOVE AND HATRED

Chapter 2

Steev’s POV :

After that I went to my room. The first thought that came in my is that I will message or call her, but then I felt it might be too early to call as she gave the number to me just an hour ago.

After sometime my roommate John arrived. It was 5 o’clock in the evening. As soon as he came I started to narrate what all happened with me today. He was the only person whom I could talk freely without getting judged.

Out of all the incidents of today that I narrated he was more interested about the girl Shika whom I met today.

He asked , “By the way what is the girls name?”

“Shika”, I replied. (blushing)

“Good to see you blushing” , John said. (Making fun of me)

I told him I had her number. He said, “what are you waiting for? Go ahead and give her a call.”

“But what will I talk to her about?” I asked.

I thought it will be really awkward for both of us to talk in call all of a sudden. I didn’t even have any topic to talk to her about. While I was sitting and thinking all this, he did not even think twice and just gave a call to her number from my phone.

The phone was already ringing and I had no other option. I had to talk to her now. If I cut the call she might call back asking who is this. And somewhere I did not like to disturb her that way.

Suddenly I heard a beautiful voice saying “Hello”. I was feeling very nervous to talk to her. But still now I had to talk to her as she had already received the call and on the other hand I was really craving to talk to her as well. I told to myself , “Steev stop being dumb and talk to her”. I motivated myself and started the conversation.

“Hello this is Steev. “Oh Steev, hello.. how are you?”, she said.

“I am fine. How are you? What are you doing?”, I asked.

 “I am fine. I am having my dinner”, she replied.

I didn’t wanted to disturb her while having dinner so I thought let her have her dinner peacefully and I will end the conversation. I told her, “Okay then you carry on with your dinner, there is nothing urgent let’s talk some other day”.

“That’s okay you can talk if you want to. I am okay to talk while having dinner”, she said.

That was so sweet of her. I fell for her kindness once again.

“As you did not have my number I thought I will call you so that you can save my number”, I said.

“Oh yeah! That’s so nice of you Steev… hahaha”, she replied laughingly.

“Do you have to say anything else?”, she asked.

“No that was it”, I told. I was blank and nervous so I just replied like that.

“Okay then.. Steev Bye Good Night see you”, she replied.

“Okay! Bye Good Night take care Shika” I said.

And we both hung the call. My heart was beating very fast.

My roommate John who was standing and listening our whole conversation suddenly started laughing out loud.

I was felling very shy when I saw him laughing but then I forgot all the shyness and awkwardness and  joined with him and we both started laughing together.

“You are useless, you can’t even talk to a girl properly”, John said and started laughing again. I was not upset at all instead I was very happy that I finally spoke to her in call.

It was time for dinner. John and I were very hungry so we decided to prepare noodles for both of us.

We both helped each other and prepared noodles for both of us.

After washing our hands, we started eating our noodles.

The noodles was so delicious that we finished eating it just in ten minutes and we were hungry too.

We sat for few minutes and decided to wash the dishes before going to bed.

After washing all the dishes we planned to go to bed.

We always go to bed early so we thought it was better to go to sleep. We always thanked God before going to sleep.

As it was already late we went to sleep.

As I closed my eyes I was getting too many thoughts. The thought was specially about my friend Shika whom I met today. 

I knew her from so many years but I was never interested to know more about her but after the incident happened I was very much interested in her. Inspite of lot of problems going on in my life, I felt a sudden happiness within myself after meeting Shika. I was wondering what was happening to me. Was I in love? Or it was just attraction? It was a great roller coaster. Then I slowly fell asleep after sometime.

 “Good morning Steev, Wake up here is your breakfast. I prepared it for you with lots of love. Come and have it.” When I opened my eyes I was surprised and happy at the same time. It was none other than Shika. I was shocked to see her in front of me. I took the plate from her and started to have the food which she had prepared for me. I took two to three bites from the sandwich she prepared but I was not getting any taste from the food that I was having. I was in a great confusion that why am I not able to feel the taste from the food?

She was continuously asking about how was the taste but I was not able to figure out what was happening and also I was thinking how did Shika come here all of a sudden. These thoughts and Shika’s continuous questions were pressurizing me. I cried out loud with too much pressure. “Steev…Steev..? Why did you scream like that Steev? Are you okay?” I heard John’s voice. I opened my eyes and realized that I was in my room and it was just a dream. Thank god it was a dream I said. John asked, “What was the dream Steev?” and I narrated him the whole dream. He laughed and said, “Don’t worry buddy, it was just a dream…get up and fresh up, It’s a big day today”.
