Chapter - 39 - Steev's Conversation with John

Steev's POV :
I started saying with John about all that took place that day. I started from Shika's matter. I said about how I invited her and how she agreed. I also shared about the plans we made about cooking some dish and then we prepared momos together.
John was really surprised to hear all that I was saying. He said, " Steev are you kidding me? ". " No John, I am not at all kidding. This is the truth that took place when you weren't here. And I was excitedly waiting for you to come back so that I could share with you all these matters.", I replied.
" Wow! I am really surprised about this. To be frank I never expected you could be so brave enough to approach her and call her here." , John said. " Yes John you are right. Even I am not able to believe that I was so brave enough to call her. I do not know from where I get that bravery when it comes to Shika.", I said. " Shall I say you one thing? ", said John. " Yes John, please say whatever you want to tell.", I said. " I feel that whenever I am not around you, you will be independent and brave enough to handle things well. But whenever I will be with you, you usually depend on me like my younger brother and follow my foot steps.", he said. I was stunned for a moment after hearing what John said to me. I was confused if I had to take those words In a casual way or in a serious way.
