Chapter - 112 - Office life

Steev's POV :

The Colleague' s name was Jack. When our colleague Jack greeted us even we greeted him. " Hey good morning buddy. " , I replied. " Very good morning. " , replied Sophia. " You guys came together? " , the guy asked. " Yes we did. " , Sophia replied. " Okay then I'm going to cafe to have a cup of coffee, would you guys like to join us? " , Jack asked. " No I had my breakfast and came. " , I said. " Yes even I had my coffee, so no thank you. You please go and have. " , Sophia replied. " Okay then, cool I will go. See you guys later. " , Jack said. " Yes yes see ya. " , I replied and then Jack left. After lack left Sophia and walked towards the training room. After reaching the training room we both entered to room together just like that while having some casual talks. And we sat down inside. There were few colleagues sitting in the room were looking at us very surprisingly. Those were the most judgemental people I ever met I felt that day. I could see lot of judgements going on, in their minds about Sophia and myself. But I really did not want to care about that and spoil my mind and mood both so I did not mind. After few minutes of sitting quite the trainer came and started training us. I forgot all my problems and worries and only concentrated on the training.

Hours passed. It was 12 P M. And it was our lunch time. John or I never took tiffin with us. We always had food from out during our lunch breaks, so same way I did not take my tiffin that day. I thought of informing Sophia that I was going to cafe to have my lunch. So I went to her and said, " Hey Sophia I am going to cafe to have my lunch okay. " " Why are you going to cafe I have brought tiffin, let's have food from my tiffin only. " , she said. " Hey! No. You please have your lunch. It will be not enough for two people then at the end we both will remain hungry. Ha ha ha! " , I said. " No ways, I already packed food for both of us and brought. So none of us are going to remain hungry. " , she said. " Oh really? But why ? I did not tell you to get tiffin na. " , I said. " So what? Is it necessary for you to tell me to get tiffin or what. I can get tiffin for my friend any time. " , she said. I had no other option than having food with her. For a moment I was thinking of judgemental people who were with us. But then I suddenly came back of that thought and decided to have lunch with Sophia. " Okay fine, let's have food. " , I said and sat next to Sophia. Again I was seeing our colleagues looking at us. It would be too awkward if someone is watching us having food. So I said to Sophia that, " Sophia, shall we go down to cafe and sit there and have the tiffin. It will be more comfortable there I feel. Rather than sitting here. ", I said. " Yes actually you are right, if we sit here and if the food drops then it will be too bad. Come let's go down to cafe and have our lunch. " , Sophia replied.

After that Sophia and I got up from that place and went out of the training room and started walking towards the cafe. I was glad Sophia understood me and did not ask questions. We reached the cafe and found a empty table and two chairs. We both quickly went there and sat down before anyone crabs the place. The once the chairs and tables were occupied then we had to stand and eat. And standing and eating in that cafe where too many people would come and go was difficult. Sophia opened her tiffin box. She had brought two tiffin boxes. One for me and one for herself. I was too hungry. As soon as she gave me the tiffin I opened it within no time. There was fried rice in that. It looked too yummy. I could not control myself and I took a spoon of fried rice and ate it. It was really too yummy. " Wow Sophia it is too yummy. Who prepared this? " , I asked. " It's prepared by my mother. " , she replied. " Wow really amazing it is. ". I said. " Aww thank you so much Steev. " , Sophia replied. We both had our food calmly and peacefully there. There was no one to disturb us there. We finished our food and we both were full. " I'll buy a bottle of cold drink for us. What say? " , I asked. " Yes definitely. " , she said. I went to the counter and bought two glasses of cold drink for us to drink. " Here you go Sophia. " , I replied. " Thank you Steev. " , she said. And then we both started having the cold drink.

The drink was very tasty and also it was very cold and refreshing, after having the delicious fried rice that cold drink had really made us refreshing and completely full. I was glad that I bought that juice and we both had it. I was hoping that Sophia should not give me the money for the cold drink and hopefully she did not take a word about giving me the amount of the cold drink which I bought for both of us. After all of those matters our lunch break was all most getting over there was only fifteen minutes left for us to reach back to the training room, so we both packed our tiffin boxes and Sophia kept the tiffin in her bag and then we both got up and started walking towards the training room, so that we would not be late to attend our training. We reached the training room and sat down on our places and yes again our colleagues were looking at us in a really weird Manner as if we had done something wrong and so on. There was lot of judgement filled in their eyes, but as usual I ignored that and silently sad on my place. After sitting silently for 10 minutes the trainer entered the training room. He came and suddenly started announcing that, " hello afternoon everyone. I would like to inform you all that as you all know that the training would last for a week as per the decision which was took in the beginning but due to the increased work load or in other words I can say that due to the increased high volume in the work we have to complete your trainings within 4 days. So currently this is the day two and there are still two more days left and then the training will be completed but do not worry or do no panic because I am always there beside you people whenever you guys have any doubts, I am always there to guide you all so do not worry. But you guys will have to start working by your own after two days. It is my duty to inform you all about this, so I did. I am not scaring you guys, so please do not get panic just be brave and I know that you guys will rock it. I am very much sure about it. thank you guys. " It really made us shatter. We had just been there for two days. And within two more days we had to start our work. It was two days early. " Sophia looked at me and said, " , Steev, what is this ? How do we work . I am so nervous she said. " " No Sophia please do not worry about anything. The trainer told us that he will be always beside us and will always guide us when necessary. So fine no not think too much. " , I said. " Yes Steev fine. " , she replied. The trainer once again said , " Hello people and one more thing I had to tell you all that, after an hour we are going to shift to the actual floor where the actual work takes place till now you guys where sitting just in this training room and listening to me but after an hour of training here, from the next hour you guys will be having the training in the actual floor. I will guide you all how the work exactly is to be done for two more days. You guys will watch, learn, experiment, ask questions to me, I will ask questions to you and so on will take place in these two days. These two days are really very much important for you people because you people will be learning and getting an idea about how everything actually works. The two days which you guys have learnt was in a way of hearing, and it is nothing while compared to the practical exposure that you people will be getting on the floor and it will be really very much fun learning on the floor rather than learning as a theory in the training room. I hope you all understood. And one more important thing is that, when we move to the floor please do not think that we are going to put the work load on you people because it is not the truth. So guys come there and learn. Experiment but ask questions before taking any step. With this you people will get to know how the work is to be done. Is this clear all of you. " * The crowd replied. " Yess Sir. "

" Now let's get back to the theoretical knowledge for an hour. " , he said and started teaching us the work in the theoretical way.

An hour passed. " Yes guys now it is the time for you guys to move to the floor. " , the trainer said. " Follow me guys. " , he said and started walking towards the first floor. We all got up from our places and started following the trainer. Finally we reached the floor. As we entered all the employees were looking at us surprisingly. We were the new joiners looking everyone and everything like we have never seen such thing in our entire lives. It was a nice experience to be honest. The floor was really huge and there were lot of cubicles present there. And at the end of the floor there were some empty cubicles present. " See guys the cubicles which you can see hear is yours. Go and occupy your seats . " , he said. We all happily went to occupy the seats. Sophia sat next to my cubical. And I was happy about that because I would not get bored and also I had someone to talk to always . " You guys settle down and have conversations, I will be right back. " , the trainer said. " Yes sir sure. " , I replied.

I really did not mingle with any of the other colleagues much. But I was glad I had a really good friend Sophia. And I thought she was enough for me. One genuine friend is more than enough other than having hundred fake friends. We all sat in our own cubicles and it felt great. After sitting there for fifteen minutes the trainer arrived. " Yes guys let us begin with our work from now onwards. All the best for you and for me too. " , he said.
