Chapter 17-Eric's P.O.V

Emilia, Michael and I drove back home that afternoon, we told everyone that we'd be back after the meeting. We drove nonstop until we reached my parent's house, Michael's parents were meeting us there. We pulled into the driveway and parked, we got out of the car and headed into the house. "Mom, dad we're home" I called out as we entered the house.

"Eric" Bonnie screamed as she ran down the stairs with my mom running after her, she is now 10 and she's gotten so big. Bonnie ran up to me and I picked her up and brought her into a hug, I set her back down and my mom came up and hugged me tight before going over to Emilia and wrapping her into a hug.

"Where's dad?" I asked my mom.

"He's in the kitchen with your uncle Brian" she told me then led us to the kitchen.

'What are the chances that they can reverse the match?" I heard my father ask my uncle as we enter the kitchen.

"Their God and the Earth Goddess made this match so they have no chance" my uncle Brian said.

"Eric, Emily you're home" my father got up from his seat and walked over to us engulfing us into a hug. "Michael good to see you" he hugged Michael as well.

"Are you guys ready for the meeting in the morning?" my uncle asked.

"I'm a little worried" Emily said.

"There's no need to worry" he told her, "I talked to your uncle Jonathan, he already spoke to Elder Grey and she doesn't believe they can change your match" he said.

"I hope you're right" Michael said as he wrapped his arm around Emily's shoulders. Michael's parents showed up a little while after we did, we all ate dinner then my mom put Bonnie to bed. Everyone gathered in the living room to discuss tomorrows meeting.

"I had an idea that could possibly stop their case" Michael said.

"Yes I've heard, Elder Grey informed Elder Mason of your idea of marriage" uncle Brian said. "I don't think it'll come to that" he said.

"So what, they just sit back and wait for the Gods to stop this stupid case that the Genie High Priests have concocted?" my dad asked annoyed.

"The Goddess Eliza and the God Heruka put them together, the High Priests can not change that no matter what" my uncle stated. "Only the Gods can change their match" he said.

"And what if the Gods side with the High Priests?" my father asked.

"we'll come back to the marriage idea then" my uncle said.

"You and Jonathan would go against the Gods and marry them if their match was reversed?" my mom asked in shock.

"The Goddess Eliza came to Jonathan and told him about all the possibilities that would come from their match, so yes we would definitely marry them" he stated.

~The Next Morning~

Emilia's P.O.V.

I'm standing in my shower letting the hot water relieve the stress that is making my muscles tense up, I finish up and walk into my room and get dressed. I go to my mirror and give myself a once over, I walk out my bedroom door closing it behind me then head downstairs. I make my way into the kitchen and find my mom making breakfast, my dad and Bonnie are already sitting at the table.

"How did you sleep?" my mom asked me when she saw me enter the kitchen.

"Okay I guess" I shrugged my shoulders as I sat down next to Bonnie and across from my dad. "Eric isn't awake yet?" I asked my dad.

"Not yet" he said turning the page of his newspaper.

"Where's Emmett?" Bonnie asked me.

"He's still at the cabin with our friends" I answered her with a smile.

"When can I go to the cabin?" she asks with her puppy dog eyes.

"When you're older" Eric answered as he walked into the kitchen and sat down next to me.

"Can't I go with you when you go back?" she asked looking at me, "Emily please" she gave me her sad eyes this time.

"I don't know" I told her looking at my dad.

"We'll discuss it later" my dad told her.

"That means no" she huffed then sat back in her seat with her arms crossed.

"It's not a no, it's a maybe" my mom said placing a plate of bacon and a bowl of scrambled eggs on the table.

"I know dad, it's a no" Bonnie huffs.

"We'll discuss it I promise" I told her.

"Alright everyone let's eat" my mom said placing the plate of toast on the table then taking a seat next to my dad.

After breakfast Eric and I went to get Michael then over to my uncle Jonathan's office, my uncle Brain and Elder Grey were meeting us there. We pulled up outside the council building and parked the car, we get out of the car and walk into the building. We made our way to the Elder's offices, we stopped in front of our uncle's office door. Eric knocked on the door before walking in, we entered the office and Elder Grey was sitting in a chair by the desk. We went to take a seat when we heard another knock on the door, uncle Brain walked in and greeted Elder Grey and uncle Jonathan.

"Now that everyone is here let us begin" uncle Jonathan said. We spent almost two hours going over the details that Elder Grey received from the Genie High Priests about their claims for the reversal. They were claiming that due to our match several female genies were going unmated, Elder Grey finds that to be false. She says that male genies could have as many as nine wives so the unmated females can still be matched. Uncle Jonathan, uncle Brian and Elder Grey agreed to request a meeting with the God Heruka and the Goddess Eliza as soon as possible. After the meeting Eric drove us back to our parent's house where we would the leave to go back to the cabin. We pulled up to the house and pulled into the driveway, Eric parked then turned off the car. Bonnie must have been watching for us because as soon as the car staopped she came running outside.

"Mom and dad said I could go" she came running to the car as I was getting out.

"Really?" Eric arched his brow as he got out of the car.

"Well there are conditions" she said sheepishly.

"Of course there are" I giggled coming around the car.

"And what are those conditions?" my dad said coming up behind her.

She sighed and then started stating the conditions, "1. I have to respect and obey what the adults say while I'm there. 2. It's Michael's house so what ever rules he sets for me I must follow. 3. I am not allowed to con Michael into not setting rules for me" the three of us chuckled at that one. "4. If I misbehave in any way, shape or form I will not be allowed to go to the cabin anymore. . No sweets or caffeine after 8 pm, and finally number 6. I am not allowed to use any magic while at the cabin" she scrunched her nose at that one.

I looked at Michael and he smiled, "So where's your bag?" he smiled at her. She squealed then ran in the house.

"I'll go help her" I said then walked into the house. I went upstairs to Bonnie's room and helped her pack a couple bags then we went back out to Michael's car. Michael put her bags in the trunk while we said our goodbyes to mom and dad, my parents reminded Bonnie to behave herself. We climbed into the car and backed out of the driveway, we drove to a nearby gas station to fill up before heading onto the interstate.

"So how long is the drive?" Bonnie asked.

"A little over 4 hours, maybe less if there's no traffic" Michael told her.

"Do you have a pool?" she asked him.

"Nope, but there's a lake we could hike to" he told her.

"Is it far from the cabin?" she asks him.

"Not that far" I tell her.

"Okay. Can we go there tomorrow?" she asks.

"We'll see" I told her.

"Okay" she said then took out her iPod and earbuds. We drove is silence, Bonnie was in the backseat listening to her iPod, Eric was driving with Michael in the front passenger seat and I was in the back with Bonnie. After about 2 an a half hours we stopped to fuel up, while Michael was putting gas in the car Bonnie and I used the ladies room. Bonnie and I got back the car and Bonnie got back in the car put her earbuds back into her ears, Eric was on his phone when we got back to the car. Michael finished pumping the gas and put the cap back on the tank, I walked around the car to where Michael was.

"Who's Eric talking to?" I asked Michael when I got to him.

"I don't know" he shrugged his shoulders, we both looked in Eric's direction. Eric finally got off the phone and came to the driver's side of the car where Michael and I were, I furrowed my brow at him as he approached us.

"So" I said leaning on the car.

"So what?" Eric said eyeing me.

"Who was on the phone?" I asked curiously.

"No one" he lied, I knew he was lying cause he was fiddling with his nails. "Can you please move so we can get going?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Fine" I huffed and moved off the car, "but I will find out" I climbed into the backseat.

"What ever you say" he said getting into the driver's seat.

Emmett's P.O.V

We just finished lunch so Darren and I went out front to the firepit and log pile, Darren started chopping wood while I cleaned up the pit. Everyone else was in the house either cleaning or doing their own thing, Emily called a couple hours ago letting me know they were on their way back and that Bonnie was joining us. Once I was done with the firepit I went up to my room and took a shower, when I got out of the shower I walked back into the room to find Rachel sitting on the bed.

"I thought you were watching a movie with everyone else in the living room" I said walking towards her.

"Do you think Emily and Michael will be okay?" she asked me.

"I think they will be fine" I told her.

"How do you know?" she looked at me sadly.

I sit down on the bed next to her and wrap my right arm around her shoulders and pull her close to me. "I know cause the Elders will work hard to keep them together unless the Gods say otherwise" I tell her.

"I hope you're right" she placed her head on my shoulder, "I don't want to see them separated" she sighed.

"Me either" I kissed her head.
