Chapter 18-Michael's P.O.V

 It's been a week since our meeting with the Elders and we haven't heard anything, Emma has been trying to keep her mind off it but I know she's worried cause she's been crying in her sleep. I've been trying to do everything I can to keep from going crazy, if I don't hear anything soon I'm going to flip out. Eric told us that it could take a while to hear anything but I'm getting inpatient. I haven't been sleeping much so I started to take runs in the woods in the mornings, it helps me release all my pent-up stress. My run was a bit longer than usual this morning, my stress level was through the roof and I was ready to snap. I'm trying to stay strong for Emma but I'm finding it difficult to keep it together. After about three hours in the woods I finally make it back to the cabin, I spot Darren chopping wood when I emerge from the woods. Eric is cleaning the firepit, they're getting it ready for tonight. I walked into the house and head up to my room, I stepped through the door just as Emma was stepping out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. I close the door and lean back against it crossing my arms across my chest, I smile as I stare at her.

"You missed breakfast" she glares at me as she stands there in her towel.

"I know, I'll eat something after I shower" I told her eyeing her up and down.

"Are you going to stand there and stare at me or are you going to take a shower?" she leaned against the wall between the bathroom and the closet, she crossed her arms across her chest.

"I'm kinda enjoying the view at the moment" I say with a devilish smile gesturing to her towel wrapped body.

"Well how about you take your shower then maybe I'll let you enjoy it even more when you get out" she furrowed her brow at me, I moved away from the door and walked towards her.

I have a better idea" I moved in close to her and wrapped my arm around her waist pulling her into me. "How about you join me in the shower" I leaned into her, my lips just inches away from her lips. She took a sharp breath then placed her hands on my chest.

"How about I get dressed and go downstairs to make you something to eat while you take a shower" she pressed against my chest pushing me away. She tried to move past me but I tightened my grip on her waist and pulled her back into me.

"Are you sure?" I whispered into her ear as I leaned in placing tiny kisses onto her neck, I could feel her shiver under my touch as I moved my lips across her neck.

Emilia's P.O.V

I felt my knees buckle as his lips moved along my neck, my breath caught in my throat as his grip tightened around my waist. I could feel the bulge in his pants as he pressed into me, a moan escaped my lips as he moved his left hand down to my thigh. I know we should stop but my hormones and body want to keep going, he took his face away from my neck and looked into my eyes. I threw my head back onto the pillow and groaned, I let out a sigh then got up off the bed and headed into the closet. I threw on my flip-flops then headed downstairs and waited for Michael.

Eric's P.O.V

I was cleaning up the firepit while Darren chopped the wood, I saw Michael come out of the woods and head into the cabin. I feel bad for him cause he's trying really hard to keep himself together, I know waiting for the Elder's decision is driving his crazy. I finished with the pit and started getting it ready for the wood when I looked over at Darren, he had stopped chopping the wood and was standing up straight in alert mode. I saw him looking out towards to road that leads away from the cabin driveway, I walked over to him to find out what was wrong. "What is it?" I asked him as I looked down the road.

"I hear a car" he tells me still looking down the road.

"How far?" I ask him

He bent down placing a hand on the ground and closed his eyes, his ears twitched. "About 4 miles down, it's an SUV or a truck" he said opening his eyes and standing up.

"Hey guys" I heard Kim's voice as she came towards us, I turned to face her. "I brought you some tea" she said holding 2 glasses in her hands, I take the glasses from her and set them down on the chopping block.

"I need you to do something" I tell her.

"Sure" she shrugs her shoulders, "what is it?" she asks.

"I need you to shrink and fly down the road and find out about the SUV that's coming" I tell her and she nodded, she stepped back and let her hair out of it's ponytail. She cracked her neck then shook her shoulders as her wings emerged from her back, in a blink of an eye she disappeared. I heard the flutter of wings pass by my head towards the road, less than a minute later I heard the sound of wings again then she re-materialized in front of us.

"Black Chevy, tinted windows and a guy wearing sunglasses is driving" she told us.

"I'll go get Emily and Michael" Darren said then ran to the house, I look at Kim and tell her to go back into the house. I gave her back the 2 glasses of tea and she went back into the house, Darren came back out and ran up to me. "They'll be down in a few minutes" he told me, "Who could they be?" he asked me.

"I think I have an idea" I told him, I turned to him "We should act normal, go back to chopping wood" I said and he nodded in agreement.

Michael's P.O.V

I finished my shower and got dressed, I went downstairs to find Emma in the living room waiting for me. I walked over to the couch and smiled at her, I reached out my hand to her. "Ready?" I asked her, she looked up at me and gave me a small smile then placed her hand in mine. I pulled her up off the couch wrapping an arm around her waist, I kissed her forehead then led her to the front door. We walked out the door onto the porch and saw Eric setting up the firewood in the pit and Darren was chopping wood, we walked off the porch and towards Eric. Just as we reached Eric we heard the sound of tires on gravel, Eric stopped what he was doing as did Darren. We all watched as a black Chevy pulled up and parked behind Darren's SUV, the driver side door opened and a tall muscular looking guy stepped out. He was about 6'4 with jet black hair cut in military style, he was wearing a jet black suit with a white shirt and black tie. He was wearing black sunglasses and what looked like a microphone earpiece, he looked around then stepped to the back passenger door opening it. Emma grabbed a hold of my arm squeezing it, I could feel her tense up as we saw Elder Mason exit the car. We both took deep breaths as Elder Mason walked towards us, Eric stepped forward as his uncle reached us.

"Uncle" Eric nodded in respect to his uncle.

"Eric" Elder Mason nodded back, "Emilia, Michael" he nodded to us and we nodded back in respect. "Darren" he nodded to Darren, "good to see you again".

"Elder Mason" Darren nodded back in respect.

"I have something for you" Elder Mason said reaching into his jacket, "this is campus passes" he pulled out an envelope and handed it to Darren. "Use them wisely" he told him and Darren smiled.

"Thank you sir" Darren took the envelope then ran back to the house giving us privacy.

"Where's Elder Grey?" I asked Elder Mason.

"She had to fly back to Cairo to attend her nephews wedding, but she'll be back" he told us.

"What was the ruling uncle?" Emma asked almost in tears, I wrapped my arm around her waist pulling her closer to me.

"The Gods stood by their match decision" he said with a smile, "the God Heruka met with the Genie High Priests and they back down from their case" he told us. Emma jumped into her uncles arms hugging him, he hugged her back and his smile grew.

"Thank you uncle" she said pulling away from him.

"I told you I would make sure you two stayed together" he said then kissed her forehead.

"Thank you" I said stretching my hand out to him, "you have no idea what this means to us" I said with tears forming in my eyes.

"I think I can imagine" he said taking my hand and shaking it, "I'm looking forward to performing your wedding" he smiled at us then turned and went back to the car.

Emma threw herself into my arms wrapping her arms around my neck, I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her into my body. I buried my face into her neck breathing her scent in through my nose, I lightly kissed her neck tightening my hold on her. We finally pulled apart when we heard the black Chevy leaving, we looked as the SUV disappeared down the road. I heard the front door close so I turned to see everyone walking towards us, Bonnie came running towards us and rammed into my side wrapping her arms around my hips. Emma and I pull away from each other and looked down at Bonnie, Bonnie lifts her head and looks at us with a small smile.

"Do I still get to be a flower girl?" she asks us, I lean down and pick her up into my arms.

"Yes" I say looking at her, "you still get to be a flower girl" I tell her with a smile.

"Yay" she squeals and wraps her arms around my neck hugging me tight.

"I'm so happy for you guys" Rachel pulls Emma into a hug and they both cry.

"Me too" Kim starts crying and joins their hug.

"Me three" Hannah joins them. I put Bonnie down and she goes and wraps her arms around Emma's side, Rachel and Emma pull Bonnie into the hug.

"Congratulations man" Darren smacks my left shoulder.

"Thanks" I nod to him.

"Congrats" Emmett says then we fist bump.

"Congrats" Robert shakes my hand.

"Screw that" Jerry says then pulls me into a hug, "Congrats cuz" he pulls away.

"Congrats dude" Terry bro hugs me.

"Congratulations" Sean said patting me on the shoulder.

"Congrats" Jose shook my hand.

"Congratulations Michael" Eric put his hand on my right shoulder.

"Thanks guys" I say looking at Emma who is still in a group hug with the girls. I smile knowing that nothing can come between us now, she 's mine now and forever.

"Let's celebrate" Darren yells and everyone yelled a yes in excitement.

Everybody went back into the house, Eric went to out back to the patio and started the grill. Darren and Emmett went into town to pick up meat and other stuff, Bonnie helped Rachel and Hannah set up tables and chairs on the patio. I found Emma in our room closet looking through her clothes, "You look good in anything" I told her as I leaded against the door frame.

"No I don't" she blushed.

"Yes you do" I said as I pushed away from the door and made my way over to her. "You would look sexy in a trash bag" I chuckled as I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her into my chest.

"You're so corny" she slapped my arm.

"Only around you" I chuckled then placed my forehead against hers. "Do you still want to wait until May to get married?" I asked her running my hands up and down backside.

"After what we just went through..............." she leaned back to look me in the eyes, "I want to get married as soon as possible" she said with a smile, I brought my left hand up to her neck and pulled her face closer to mine. I captured her lips with mine and she wrapped her arms around my neck, I ran my hands down to her butt squeezing it hard making her gasp and moan. I grabbed at her thighs pulling her legs up and wrapping them around my hips, I turned us towards the door and walked us out of the closet. We made our way over to the bed never braking the kiss, I laid us both on the bed with her legs still wrapped around my hips. I pulled away from her and pulled off my shirt tossing it on the floor, I leaded back over her kissing her forehead then her nose then her lips. I moved my lips from her lips down to her jawline then over to her neck, I ran my right hand up her left side going under her shirt and up to her breast as I sucked and nibbled at her delicately smooth neck.

"I love you Michael" she moaned out, I pulled away from her neck and looked into her eyes.

"I love you too baby" I captured her lips with mine.
