Chapter 7Early the next morning, after we had all had breakfast, Rachel, Edith, and I stood on the front steps and waved as they flew over. “That was a fabulous Christmas,” I said. “I’ve never had Christmas with this many people. It was usually just Mom and me after we come home from the early Mass. When I was little we had Grandpa Earnest and Dad, too, but that was all.
