Alex's POV

As I listened to Lydia's side of the story, I was ashamed of myself. I accused Liam of breaking our bound without even listening to him. What kind of brother does that, and we're twins?

Liam and I spent our whole lives together, we never separated except when I took our sister Mila to the fairy school.

I didn’t know he was suffering, I didn’t know he was in pain, I didn’t know he became an easy target of old revenge just because I wasn’t with him.

When Lydia told us she had fallen into a coma trying to save us both, I felt such anger towards myself. I should be better. I should know better.

"I remember that night." I said quietly. "I was at the waterfalls, I think I fell asleep. I remember seeing a girl on the other side of the waterfall, with long black hair, a white dress and green eyes. I thought I was dreaming and seeing the Moon Goddess, or maybe a forest nymph. Achilles was so excited to see her. He kept stepping in a circle in my head forcing me to cross the lake, but I couldn't, it was as if some force was holding me on the other side. All I could do was sit there and admire the girl. At some point I fell asleep, I thought I heard her sing. I woke up when the sun came up. I thought it was all just a dream."

"It's okay, you couldn't know what was going on." Lydia said gently touching my hand.

"I should have been there."

"There is no guarantee that this would not have happened to you or without you, you could have been a target, we could both have been targets." Liam said.

"How are you so calm? I'm mad at myself for acting like a jerk before. I didn't even listen to you."

"You were mad, I can understand that. I was mad at myself for not being able to remember that night. But that does not change the fact that we are brothers, twins, one soul in two bodies. I love you, and I would never do anything that could hurt you or our mate. I'm upset because you didn't even want to listen to me, but honestly, if the situation was the other way around, I would probably break your nose. And now stop blaming yourself and help me get my mate back, break this stupid spell and catch the person responsible for this. Be my brother, Alex, because together you and I can do anything." Liam said holding my hand.

"And now you have me too." Lydia said putting her hand over ours. "Once we create a bound no one can break it."

I smiled at my brother and my mate. They both hugged me, I felt the sparks from Lydia's touch and the warmth around the heart from the bound we created.

We sat for a while by the waterfall in the shade of an oak tree, hugged, not thinking about the problems. Just enjoying the sunrise. Tomorrow we will take care of new problems. Today we will just enjoy because we found each other.
