I was beat. Coming home from the diner, I gently close the front door with the intention to head straight to my room where the comfort of my mushy bed awaits. But Charlie had other plans. "Hey, kiddo, is that you? Come in here for a sec," he yells from the kitchen. Passing through the arcing doorway I can smell the delicious aroma of freshly baked lasagna being pulled out from the oven.
