SPENCER'S POV When all of the rogues had finally emerged from the forest they were everywhere. There were so many I could not count them. I got my phone out and started making some calls back to the pack to arrange for more transportation to get all of the wolves back to the pack. I spoke to Ella and said she would arrange for buses to be sent to our location. We waited patiently until they arrived and started loading up the wolves. We had to drive forty seven trips to get everyone to the pack. Now the work starts. ALCINA'S POV I was busy in my office when Ella knocked on the door. "Come in," she entered. "Alpha, they are here and we have a problem," she said out of breath. "What do you mean we have a problem?" I asked rudely. "There are too many wolves alpha, we do not have space for all of them," she said looking worried. "Too many wolves? Are you kidding me? We arranged for five thousand wolves. How many did he find?" I was concerned. "I do not know how many there are alpha, but it is way more that five thousand," I got up and told her to follow me. We headed to the pack hospital where the first checkpoint was. When we got there I was overwhelmed with the amount of wolves that stood before me. "Spencer, how many are there?" I asked, still looking at the wolves. "We had forty seven trips alpha," he looked at me with a proud smile. "That adds up to three thousand seven hundred and sixty wolves, but they look much more than that," I said confused. "No alpha, Ella sent us the big bus. We could fit two hundred and seventy passengers per trip and a few in the vans we went with," he said, still smiling. "You are telling me that you found more than twelve thousand wolves?" I was shocked. "Yes alpha," "We need to speed up the check points. Put up all of the frame tents we have, the big ones Spencer, so that they have a place to sleep. I will speed up the housing and get approval for more territory." I turned around to make arrangements. It took us a week to get every wolf through the checkpoints. I got approval to expand even more and the housing was coming along. The new wolves were very patient with the living situation while they waited for their homes. They said that they were much happier than before. Many wolves were mated after I allowed new ones into the pack. The new members reached out to their friends and families that were also rogues and hiding from the world. They came to Gradius. They underwent the checkups and interviews and got the membership they have always wanted. We were growing. We were stronger than ever. The new warriors were strong and always ready to fight. A lot of job slots were filled and new jobs created to make sure every wolf was doing their part. They were happy and so was I. "Asmodeus, how are you doing?" I greeted the council member. "I am well Alcina. I hear your pack is doing even better. I was very doubtful when you said you were bringing rogues into your pack, but it looks like it all worked out in the end," Asmodeus said cheerfully. "Yes, they are happy and doing well here in Gradius. We sometimes have hundreds of wolves joining each week. They come from all over the world. Asmodeus, it has been four years since I was made alpha and I think it is time for me to join the alpha society. I want to attend my own meetings to get information first hand. I am done hiding. I hope you and the council will support my decision," I only heard silence on the other side of the line. "I really hope this does not put you or your pack in danger. We will support you with no doubt Alcina, just be careful," he said and then the line went dead. That was certainly not what I was expecting. I thought they would fight me. I have a strong and stable pack. I am ready to face the wrath of the alphas. I mindlinked Spencer and let him know that I would be attending the next meeting with him. He was shocked but agreed immediately. We left for the meeting the next day. We arrived at the hotel and went to the front desk to check into our rooms. Spencer went to his room and I went to mine. The meeting was scheduled for the next morning. I took a shower and ordered some dinner. After I ate, I went to bed. When I got up the next morning I went down to the lobby where Spencer was waiting for me with a coffee. "Morning alpha. Are you ready?" he asked, handing me the coffee. "As ready as I'll ever be," I said, taking a deep breath following Spencer. Spencer entered a conference room and walked straight to a seat down at the end of the room, but when he wanted to pull the chair out, he froze. "What is wrong with you?" I was confused. "This is normally where our pack representatives sit, but this is another pack's seat now," he said scratching his head. Normally you are seated in the order of the size of your pack. Gradius was the smallest pack for years on end, so we sat at the far end of the table. I turned around and started walking back to the door looking at the names. Spencer was across from me on the other side of the table. Then at the end of the table, next to the biggest pack I saw my pack's name. We were in second place. I was excited and happy at the same time. So proud of my pack and what they have accomplished. I signaled Spencer that I found our seat and he was as shocked as I was. I took my seat and he took his seat right behind me. The door opened and the first alpha entered. "What do you think you are doing you incompenent she wolf? Get out of the alphas seat, and out of this room immediately! No females are allowed," he snarled at me. I recognised him from when I was growing up. He was a very good friend of Aiofe, a very long time ago. "We shall wait for the council," I said and smiled friendly at him. As each alpha entered I got the same response as the first and I stayed with my answer. When the council entered the alphas immediately started protesting as to why a she wolf was sitting at the table. Asmodeus stood up and made sure everyone was quiet. "Alphas, that is Alcina Mordeca, and she is the alpha of the Gradius pack," he said calmly. Immediately their heads spun around. They stared at me with so much hate it was a bit shocking. "You're crazy for allowing this ," they all shouted at the council and they all started protesting together again. I slowly got up and cleared my voice. Everyone's heads turned and they all looked at me. "I have been running this pack for almost five years. I have worked and fought hard just like all of you to keep it going. I will not allow a bunch of egotistical alphas to run me down any further. I have every right to be here. My pack outranks all of your packs. I would think twice before rambling on," I took my seat and stared at all of them. No one said anything further. The meeting continued. It was nothing special, just the normal old things that were always said and revised. After the meeting we left and went back home.
