Scarlet Rebellion
“He Who Was Reborn in Flame”
A thousand years ago, the mighty Flame King defied the laws of balance and was erased from existence. But under a blood-red sky, his legend waits to return.
Now in modern Tokyo, a boy walks alone. His name is Kazehaya Enkōō, sixteen years old. Though quiet and withdrawn, he hides glowing ember-like eyes beneath his bangs. Enkōō dreams of fire every night, hears voices whispering forgotten names, and feels heat when his anger rises. He once survived a fire that should have killed him, leaving behind scars of suspicion and fear.
On the school rooftop, his solitude is interrupted. Aoi Mizunashi, a girl with flowing dark-blue hair and a blade of water, declares him “flameborn”—the reincarnation of the Flame King. She attacks, determined to destroy the vessel before it awakens.
But Enkōō resists. Flames erupt from his hand, blocking her water strike. His vision splits, revealing a fiery inner world where an ancient armored spirit—the Flame King himself—declares, “You are me. I am you.”
Rejecting destiny, Enkōō regains control. He refuses to be a tyrant’s vessel, claiming he only seeks answers. Aoi watches in shock. This isn’t prophecy. This is something new.
Thus begins the return of a forgotten legend.
