chapter 13: trying

It's been a month two weeks since the day I finally let my guard down and confided in mike
Everything is going back to normal slowly but surely
The nightmares still trouble me but I don't let them get to me
I told Cathy everything that happened to me and how i ended up homeless
To say she was mad is an understatement she was livid
But luckily we managed to hold her off otherwise she would have been in a prison right now
I'm trying to get my life back on track but it's hard
I still sometimes cry on my own when I think of everything
No one should have to go through what I went through it's not fair
I still stay with Mike he won't let me out of his sight
Right now I'm sitting on my bed with Mike and Cathy begging me to go shopping with them
Mike and Cathy got along easily they both love clothes and shopping I mostly feel like an alien when they start talking about clothes
“No no I'm not going anywhere with you two especially not the mall”
Mike -come on Eve stop being such a party popper
Cat- yes Evy let's go shopping you haven't moved out of the house in a long time
Eve- nothing that you can say can change my mind
Mike - I'll buy for you some crispy chicken parmesan
Cat- ewww no that thing is disgusting
Mike - '…'
Cat “….“
Eve- what? Why are you guys looking at me like I just grew another head
Cat- clearing throat when did you start finding crispy chicken parmesan disgusting
Mike - yeah there like your favorite food
Eve- shrugs I don't know I just don't like them anymore
I get out of bed cause this talk about food is making me hungry
I go to the kitchen with Mike and cat following me might I add still begging to go to the mall with them
I get a bucket of chocolate flavored ice cream with some pickles
I go and sit in the sitting room with my two tale still following me
And now they have both stopped talking just looking at me like I have grown two heads or something
Eve- what is it just say it stop looking at me like I'm a creep
Mike - you. Are. Eating. Ice cream. With.Pickles
Eve- yeah and….
Cat-when did you start eating such weird food combinations. Last time I checked you hate pickles
Eve- yeah but I love it nowadays now let me enjoy myself
I completely ignore them as I continue eating my food
I decide to put on something to watch I decide to watch Mr and Mrs Smith
I try to ignore there weird stare but I can't help it
“Okay let's do this if you guys stop looking at me like that I'll go to the mall with you deal”
They both answer deal and leave me to enjoy my movie
I don't know how much time passed but I'm woken up by cat
I didn't even realize I dozed off
I get up from the chair and find Mike and cat already to go to the mall
Glaring dagers at me for being late ignore there stares
I start climbing the stairs going to my room did I mention there still on my tale
I reach my room strip naked getting my towel I go to take a shower
I take the world's fastest shower ever and get out
Mike and Cathy have already chosen what am going to wear
I try to protest but the look they give me successful shut me up
They have chosen a black high waisted jeans with a baby pink off shoulder crop top
They choose some black high highs to go with the look
“Dear God I'm so not wearing those death trap” I say looking at them defiantly
“We don't have a problem forcing you to wear them” mike says both of them crossing there hand over their chest
Daring me to argue I just zip my mouth sitting down on my dressing mirror
Mike starts fixing my makeup while cat fixes my hair
I couldn't help myself but doze off as they continue fixing me up
I don't know how long passed but I'm woken up by voices
“I can't believe she fell asleep just like” why are they making so much noise
I open my eyes slowly and look at myself direct in the mirror
I close my eyes a few times making sure it's not an illusion
“Is that me “ I ask no one in particular
“Yes girl it all you” mike says flipping his imaginary long hair
“Wow what have you done to me” I say looking at myself
“Oh nothing much that's all you we just highlighted your features” cat says with a smug grin
I honestly look gorgeous my eyes looks rediant and bold
What ever they did it's amazing. I never knew I could be this beautiful
Now it's time to go to the most dreadful place ever the mall.
