THE DARK ROACH: LEGEND OF SUNQ THE PROLOGUE:: THE REBELLION Thousands Of Years Ago, going back in time to the time of legends and empires, when greatness was known by the numbers of empire you have conquered and the amount of power you have accrued. We are taken to the ancient Empire of Lanoiq. This was the greatest empire in the world at time having conquered so many empires surrounding it and far away and exercising great power in their territories and beyond. In this Empire there is something special and strange or should I say unique about them, they worship the god Tithonus also known as the “god of cicadas”. But they basically have a great worship and reverence to cockroaches. It was believed that the roaches brought greatness, abundance and power to the empire, because of this the roaches were in abundance in the Lanoiq Empire since they were not killed. In this great Empire on an auspicious day when the roaches were celebrated a great disaster struck which forever changed history… “Hail! Hail!! Hail!!! Emperor Sunq the blessed of Tithonus” Resounded as the people of Lanoiq both great and small gathered in the large Stadia to celebrate the roaches and the greatness of the then Emperor Sunq who was the then Emperor of Lanoiq who during his reign has achieved lot and lot of things. “Great, people of Lanoiq. We have come again to celebrate and thank the god Tithonus for his abundant assistant and help…”Emperor Sunq was saying  A group of people were discussing in an enclosed room. They turned out to be Sunq’s step brother Celinq and also the head of the army and some Guttaffes (elders of Lanoiq). They seemed to be talking about something really controversial and clandestine as they spoke in hushed tones. They finally stopped talking as a deep voice spoke out: “Have heard you all, but the thing is the plan still stands and nothing stops it you either choose to work with me or choose death.” It was Celinq speaking as the Guttaffes shuddered in fear. “Yes master” the guttaffes said in fear. Celinq in alliance with the Guttaffes prior to the the day of the celebration had planned to burn down the roaches in other for him Celinq to become the Emperor because since Sunq was sworn in Under the blessing of the god Tithtonus and the roaches so he draws his life source from then and while they continue to live he will continue to also live granting him partial immortality. So Celinq’s plan was to burn down the roaches so that Sunq would die and he would attain total control of the Empire. “To commemorate our great achievement we hereby release this set of roaches to move into our land and increase our health, wealth and abundance. Open the Grotto!”     Emperor Sunq commanded in a loud voice. As the Grotto was opened great fire burst out from it. A great wail filled the whole Stadia as the people realized what had happened, someone had set the roach Grotto on fire. But “who could commit such treason?” Was the question on the lips of the people. Emperor Sunq gave others for the fire to be put out but it was a futile attempt as the fire raged. Emperor Sunq fell down in tears as he felt his life force draining from him. A young man ran towards him breathing hard: “I told you my Lord but you would not believe me, now Celinq has succeeded in annihilating the roaches” the young man cried out as he held the Emperor who seemed to be in great pains. “am really a fool for not noticing this since, now Celinq has succeeded, Jalin take this and run away really far away from here a place Celinq would not be able to reach you, find a suitable vessel to take up my power…” While Sunq was still talking with Jalin, Celinq was busy smiling has he was thinking about how good it will be for him to be the supreme ruler of Lanoiq. “now that that weakling is dead I assure you all great power and wealth as my council of advisers, am really going to make Lanoiq the empire it is suppose to be” Celinq said “now as my first decree as the supreme ruler and Emperor of this Empire I order the execution of the people guilty of Nodevību (treason)” Celinq continued the whole hall echoed with murmurings as they could not fathom what Celinq just said “But my Lord you promised to release them if we help you gain dominion of the city. Why are you going back on your words,I thou…” one of the Guttaffes that rose up to speak didn’t finish speaking as his head rolled onto the floor as the whole hall were all shocked. “No one dares to object to my order, no one at all.” Celinq thundered angrily as blood splash could be seen on him. It was obvious that he was the one who killed the man. “But my lord I can’t leave you” Jalin said as he tried lifting Sunq from the ground “I will never leave you” he added again. “Just go now run far away” Sunq said with command etched in his voice “Yes my Lord” Jalin said as he stood up and ran off. As Jalin ran off Sunq closed his eyes as he faded into oblivion.           ………………….PRESENT……………………. “Hey Nerdy just hold up we just want to play with a lil’ bit” A teenager who was physically built with dark curly hair said as he ran after another boy who ran into an abandoned house. The teenage boy was also accompanied by two other teenage boys one was also physically built but short while the other was not really physically built but tall.     ‘oh my God I hope am not going to die today, please God save me. If you can save me this time I promise to serve you all the days of my life’ the teenage boy who was been pursued prayed in his heart as he ran into an abandoned building as he hid behind a spoilt cupboard. The cupboard was dusty and he almost sneezed but he controlled himself the three guys who were pursuing him also ran into the building and searched around as they continued calling his name after searching for sometime without any result decided to leave. As they left Frank waited for some time before he came out but while he was waiting a dark roach crept into his bag. Unknown to him that a roach was in his bag pack. After sometime he went home.   ..…….SOMETIME IN THE MIDNIGHT 5:55 am Frank’s apartment……..   The whole house was silent as Frank can be seen sleeping in his room, his bag pack was beside him on his bed then the bag pack shook as the wind blew around eerily the curtain of the his room shook as the dark roach crept out from bag and moved towards were Frank was sleeping. It changed into a man who was dressed in an ancient regalia the man happened to be Jalin he muttered some words as the wind continued to blow after which an antennae which was flaming came out of his heard and then passed some fluid into Franks body after which he changed back to the dark roach and fell down dead. After which the wind stopped blowing and everything calm down…
