Finding Myself

Chapter 3: 18 months earlier

*Flashback (18 months ago)

I'm waiting outside the school for my boyfriend. School is about to start in about 15 minutes, but he had told me that he wanted to see me before class started. I smile to myself just thinking about it. We've been together since 8th grade, but not many people know about us. Most people at school, besides the twins, don't know anything. He is one of the school's jocks, while I would be classified as a nerd. At first, all the secret meetings around school were fine because I do care about him, but now it's getting annoying.

I felt hands going on my eyes and being pushed into a direction. When the hands move from my eyes, I didn't have time to open them before a pair of lips were pressed onto mine. I know exactly who it is since I've spent 3 years with them.

I pulled back from his lips and put our foreheads together. He wraps his arms around my waist and puts his head into my neck. These moments are my favorite because he is only this way with me.

"I am so sorry that I'm late Boobear. The guys wanted to talk about the upcoming game before school. I lied and said I had to meet the principal before the bell rings. Man, your presence can only cure depression," he says as he hugs me tighter. I giggled at his words, causing him to look up at me. "And your laugh brightens my whole day."

"It's okay, my jockie. Boobear is here to keep you away from those annoying teammates," I laughed at myself as I felt him chuckling. We finally pull away from each other.

Finally, looking around, I see that we are at the side of the school, away from everyone, so no one would see us. I hold back my sigh so that way he doesn't sense it.

"Boobear, I know that our meetings are getting to you because they are bothering me too. We've known each other since diapers, so I know you the best," I snickered at him before he continued. "Don't laugh cuz it's true. I just worry about Jenny. She'll find any excuse to bother you just because we are close and cuz I've rejected her advances before. But soon, the school year will end and everyone will know that my beautiful queen is finally by my side, no matter what".

"Beautiful queen? I've never seen her before. You'll have to introduce her to me soon or else she'll be upset by how close we are right now". He pouts at my comment, which makes me smirk wider. He grabs both of my hands and gives me his puppy face.

"You know that you are my queen, Boobear. And I'm your king, so you can't get rid of me. Unless..." he begins to "choke" and out his hand on his chest. "Your delicious lips and presence are causing a horrible reaction. I think I might die without a taste of them. Please Boobear, you have to give me the dosage or your king will be no more." To add more to his performance, he fell to his knees.

My jockie has always acted like this since we were kids, even more since we got together. I rolled my eyes at him, but quickly got into character before we are both late for our classes. "Oh nooo. My king is suffering, and only I have the power in order to save him and the land. However," I began to say as I slowly walked away from him a bit while tapping my chin. "It would be completely wrong of me, since I'm not licensed for saving a life. If I were to kiss you now, there's no guarantee that it will save you and the land may shun me forever. I am not sure if that's a risk I am willing to sacrifice."

"Booobeaarrr," he whines. "If you save me, I'll make sure that my queen gets her candy before the end of the day." At the mention of free candy, the key to my heart, I turn back around to face him.

"Now you are speaking my language, Jockie. I mean, my king. Risking my position, I'll give you a kiss to save you from death". I bend down to him and peck his lips. He gets back up and pulls me back into a passionate kiss. It felt so good that I wouldn't mind being stuck on his lips for the rest of my life. As long as the universe allows me to.

So lost in our world, neither of us noticed a presence near us, until we heard a smacking sound against the wall. We both jumped apart from each other, being caught in the act. I breathed a sign of relief when I saw that it was just Madison and Skylar.

"You know Sky,"

"Yeah Mads?"

"I think we just ruined their little moment."

"Really. I didn't notice. Besides the fact that they were sucking each other's faces." They looked at each other, then began to fake gag. I moved to my man more and hid my face in his chest. He just laughs as I feel embarrassed.

"No need to be jealous of my queen ladies. If I didn't know any better, I would think that you were jealous of our love story." He sways us back and forth to overexaggerate his point.

"Well, if we weren't all friends since kindergarten, I would have totally pulled 'your queen' away from a very obviously looking crazy man," Madison says as she looks at Sky to finish her thought.

"However, we must, since the class bell is about to ring any minute now and the rules of school will be activated. So, come along princess." Skylar and Madison held their arms out for me to grab onto. I have no idea why everyone I know is SO DRAMATIC. I turn back to my jockie and give him a quick peck before walking to the twins.

"You may take my queen for now, but I will reclaim her later after football practice," he tells the twins before turning his attention back to me. "Do not forget about me too soon, my queen. You know I will miss you every minute we are apart until we see each other again. I love you, Boobear."

"I love you too, my jockie," I say as I finally walk away with the twins.

"Not possible. Cuz I love you from the moon and back." I turn back again one last time to see him smile before watching him walk away. The school bell finally rung as we rushed inside before we could be late for class. *Flashback ends*

"Hey Berta, are you watching?," Sky asks, which shakes me out of my thoughts.

"Of course," I reply. "Let's keep watching the movie."
