We were halfway through the movie when Madison's phone decided it was the perfect time to go off. She smirks at us when she sees who it is.
"Sorry ladies, but my man is calling, and I can't keep him waiting for too long," Madison says as she rushes out of the room. Before getting completely out of the room, she stops and turns back to us. "And you better pause the movie cuz I don't want to miss anything." Once she finally leaves the room, Skylar gets up to look out the window.
"Why the hell is Rosemary's baby having a party that's loud af?" Skylar says as she turns back to me. I force myself out of bed to look out the window as well.
"You know she has to have loud music to match her big ego. Just ignore it," I say. Before I turn to go back into bed, something catches my eye out the window. Someone that I hadn't seen in a while was walking in Jenny's driveway. It broke my heart a bit to see him out there, but I got over it quickly. I looked away before Skylar saw who I was looking at.
"I swear that girl makes me feel itchy when I even think about her. I just wanna break into that party and annoy the s**t out of her." I laughed at her comment. I would have loved to see that happen though. Madison comes back into the room with a big smirk on her face.
"Well, I guess luck is on your side tonight sis. I just got off the phone with Lukas and the boys were invited to the party, and they can bring guests with them. Might be our chance to see the fight of the ages."
"As much fun as that sounded, no way in hell am I going near that house. Besides, who would watch Ty if we all went out? Anyway... send me a pic of the fight," I say, trying to sound disappointed with my choice to stay behind. Needing any excuse in order to not deal with Jenny or the person I saw before entering, my ex.
"Well, well, well. I wouldn't have imagined my sister using me as an excuse to miss having fun," Ty says as he slowly walks in with a bag of chips. "Fortunately, I am 13 and am fully capable of taking care of myself. So, go have fun, b***h".
"Where did you learn to use that type of language, especially at me?" I asked him.
"Your amigos," he laughed before leaving the room. I give Sky a death stare while Mads smirks while putting her head down. Sky puts her hands up in defense.
"Ain't my fault he listens into our conversations." I rolled my eyes at her reasoning. Anyhow, let's get you ready, since Ty doesn't need a babysitter." Skylar gives Madison a look. They both walked towards my closet to pick out some outfits. Surprisingly, the three of us were around the same size, so sharing clothes wasn't that big of an issue. Before I knew it, I was sitting in my chair, having makeup I never realized I had, applied to my face. One minute I was contemplating my decision, and now I'm getting ready to face my enemies for a night. I hate dressing up too girly for any occasion. After what feels like years of torture, the terror twins were finally finished.
"Now, you are ready for a night out of this jail cell you call a room," Madison tells me as she turns towards my mirror to fix her lip gloss. I stand up and check my legs for any feeling. Skylar and Madison smiled at me as I made my way to the mirror. It was almost unrecognizable how I was looking right now. I was wearing a short purple dress that I had bought two years ago and never wore. It was accompanied by a pair of black heels, a black cardigan, and some hoop earrings.
"Isn't this all too much, guys?" I asked the twins. "I mean, the last time I dressed up like this was for my 14th birthday party." I hate wearing above-the-knee dresses and jewelry, sue me. Feeling like a Barbie doll is weird, but I have to admit the twins did a good job making me look presentable.
"Looking good sis," Ty voiced, scaring the hell out of me. You actually look like a normal teenager. I could almost cry, almost." He then walks straight into the room and plants himself on my bed with my TV remote in his hand that he grabbed from my desk. "Now, don't stay out late for too long cuz I won't move from this bed until you come back. Don't have too much fun wither cuz I ain't looking to be an uncle anytime soon. I may be young, but the internet is full of things. You guys can take her now before she tries to make a run for it. I got my shows to watch." He then turns on the TV and puts on Netflix. Before I could say something, I felt arms going around my waist and carrying me out the door.
"I love you Sky, but was that really necessary? I could have left my room by myself," I said as I fixed my dress after being put down.
"One, you are so light it was like picking up a little puppy. Two, you would have found an excuse to stay at home and not have fun with us. And three, we are already out of the house, so there is no going back inside." When her words finally processed in my mind, I realized that we were already at the bottom of my driveway while Madison was locking the front door before quickly joining us. She then took out her phone.
"Come on ladies. Let's take a selfie before tonight's events". With me in the middle, we smiled and took a couple of photos. We then looked ahead to Jenny's driveway across the street. I looked at the twins, took a deep breath, then began crossing the road, with the twins walking by my sides. It was overwhelming, since I don't ever go to big senior parties, but I needed to calm myself before I puked. Little did I know that after knocking on that door, some part of my life was going to do a 180 that I wasn't prepared for.
