The Mystery of the Half-Blood: Mia's Arrival
"Cassandra, this is the monster you bore, with impure blood. She's just a half-breed. Do you know what kind of storm would erupt if your people found out? You would be executed for the crime of desecrating the bloodline of the demon race," the fallen dark elf Torian shouted, holding the infant girl, his face twisted in rage, at the graceful figure of the woman standing by the window.
"Torian, stop it! Send the child away. She will undergo her baptism on the full moon of her fourth year, and if she fails, no one will ever know... what if..." Cassandra's silken voice carried an innate charm.
"There are no 'what ifs.' She, with her impure bloodline, could never have enough spiritual power to withstand the baptism." Torian shot a fierce glare at the sleeping baby before turning to leave.
The woman at the window turned around, her deep blue eyes betraying a mixture of vengeful delight and a hint of inner sorrow. Cassandra gazed at the obscured full moon, the image of Doga's cold departure flashing through her mind.
Torian teleported a few times before arriving at the doorstep of the fortunate human. Deep down, he envied this human for managing to touch the queen he revered, leading her to willingly extend her bloodline. He placed the sleeping baby on the steps, retrieved a letter from his robe, and slipped it through the door before ringing the bell.
Torian, holding the baby girl in his arms, teleported in a few blinks of an eye to the doorstep of the fortunate human's home. Torian was jealous from the bottom of his heart towards this human, who could touch the queen in his mind and let the queen willingly continue the bloodline for him. He placed the sleeping baby girl on the steps, took out a letter from his pocket and slipped it through the door c***k, then rang the doorbell.
Lianni held baby Elise, who was just a year old, in her arms and looked tenderly at Chris Swinton, saying, "Go see who's here?" Chris Swinton kissed Lianni's forehead and went to open the door.
"OH MY GOD!" After reading the letter, Chris Swinton could hardly believe his eyes. A one-night stand at the bar, that graceful and alluring woman had actually given birth to a daughter for him?! It was simply inconceivable, but the reality was right in front of him.
"Dear, what's wrong?" After waiting for a while, Lianni walked to his side with some confusion. Seeing his pale face and tense body, she curiously took the letter from his hand. After reading it, Lianni immediately slapped Chris Swinton, which thoroughly woke him up. Lianni hugged Beril tightly in her arms, crying as she rushed upstairs.
Chris Swinton, with a pained expression, brought the child in from outside. It was then that he noticed the baby was still stained with blood, clearly having been brought to his doorstep without even the most basic cleaning after birth. Chris Swinton grumbled to himself, wondering if there was such a desperate urgency to hand the child over to him for care.
Unwrapping the swaddling clothes, he found an exquisitely crafted ruby ring hidden in the layers. He took the ring and hid it away. By this time, Lianni had composed herself and mentally prepared to listen to Chris Swinton's explanation. As she came downstairs, she was met with the sight of the bloodied baby girl, whose umbilical cord had not yet been treated. The bloodstained swaddling clothes contrasted starkly with the baby's snow-white skin, making the infant look particularly pitiful.
With a gasp of shock, she placed Beril in the baby carriage and pushed past Chris Swinton, saying, "Poor little thing, Chris Swinton, quickly, call Dr. Kevin nearby, I hope he's still on duty!" Chris Swinton looked at Lianni in surprise and said, "Lianni, you..." "Go now!" Lianni carefully picked up the sleeping baby girl. Dr. Kevin arrived with a nurse and some basic medical tools.
After taking care of the umbilical cord issue and cleaning the baby girl's body of bloodstains, Dr. Kevin removed his blood-stained latex gloves and said, "Fortunately, the treatment was timely, and she didn't get infected. She's a lovely little girl." "Yes, indeed!" Lianni looked at the baby in her arms with a sense of wonder. Unlike most newborns, who are often wrinkled, this baby girl already had a hint of black hair on her head. She was delicately beautiful, like a finely carved piece of art.
Chris Swinton, who had just seen Dr. Kevin off, heard Lianni's voice full of jealousy, "It seems her mother is an Asian woman!" Chris Swinton scratched his head, as his memory of that night was indeed very sparse. Drunk, he vaguely remembered a pair of blue eyes and a body full of wildness.
Given that the child has already been delivered, and it's undeniable that she carries Chris Swinton's blood, Lianni had no choice but to accept the situation. She pinched Chris Swinton's ear and angrily shouted, "This is the only time, and the last time, I'm dealing with this kind of situation. Do you understand? Oh God, why do I have to face such a tragedy?"
Lianni rummaged through Beril's clothes from when she was a year old and dressed the baby girl in them. Chris Swinton was poring over a dictionary, searching for a name for the new arrival. After flipping through most of the dictionary, he finally came up with a beautiful name, "Mia, Mia Swan."
Just like that, when Elyse was one year old, Mia officially moved into the Swinton home, becoming her younger sister.
