Ch. 1
It was just like every other September night in Rosepond, rainy, with cool crisp air, and quiet. The office phone in Alloria’s detective agency hadn’t rang since noon when she had the assignment to find Lora’s cat familiar and she really didn’t feel like ordering food, again, so she decided to close and go home to eat tonight.
It was storming by time Alloria reached her mansion on Windstorm street. As she walked up the steps of her winding porch, even the thunder and lightening flashing behind her couldn’t properly mask the sound of her sister’s clicking and clacking as she fiddled with her cauldron and vials. Nor, her cursing as she messed up with yet another potion.
Alloria didn’t have to ask what her sister was doing, nor did she have to ask to know that yet again her sister skipped every meal so far. With a heavy sigh, the vampiric woman opened the front door and walked into the mansion that her and her sister currently shared and gave her sister a stern, look, trying her hardest to make it seem like she was pissed. But as she truly had no feelings, she just managed an annoyed look.
“Aurora Kurenia, you had better put all that nonsense up and get in that kitchen fixing you at the very least a sandwich. I can hear your stomach growling from the bottom of the porch steps,” Alloria ordered her sister.
“But Alloria, I’m close, I’m really close this time. I’m sure of it! Just a few more tries, and I swear that I will have you fixed,” Aurora babbled but Alloria didn’t listen. This conversation has happened multiple times since the incident when they were preteens, and Alloria was sure it will happen until they die if she kept responding to it.
“I don’t care Aurora, you do me no good if you starve yourself to death. GO eat then get rest, you can start back on this tomorrow.” Alloria replied as she went and got herself a bag of blood and started heeding upstairs to her room. While she did this, her mind drifted off to the day of the incident. Which is why she hated when her sister brought it up.

It was your typical winter day in Rosepond and everywhere you looked, Kids was playing in the snow. The woods was no different and two very unique girls just so happened to be playing hide and seek there.
The girls was Alloria and Aurora, the twin daughters of Salena. One was a vampire and one was a witch but even so these two was so different, they was inseparable.
It was Alloria's turn to count and as she turned towards the nearest tree, with her eyes closed, to count to fifty, Aurora had ran off to hide. Suddenly Aurora's scream rang out through the woods, echoing to every corner. Terrified that her twin might be injured, or worse, Alloria took off with her enhanced speed to where the scream came from.
Upon reaching where the sound came from, Alloria’s fears came to light as she witnessed a tall dark figure dragging her twin through a glimmering portal that lead to the underworlds. She tried her hardest, but even with her inhumane speed, her preteen legs just wouldn't carry her fast enough to reach her sister in time before the portal closed.
Terrified and desperate, the young vampiress ran into town with tears pouring down her cheeks. Crying and pleading to anyone that she could find for someone to help her reach her sister.
It wasn't until she reached Melany, the high Council of witches, that she found someone who can actually help her.
"Oh, dear what's wrong and where is your sister?" Melany said in a calming, motherly tone as she wiped Alloria's tears away.
"Th.... they took her Nana. They took Aurora." Alloria said hysterically as her tears poured out even harder then before.
"Oh, s**t. Come on little one let's go to the hunt and you can tell me everything there." Melany said before she lead Alloria into her cabin right around the corner. Once inside, she turned to Alloria and sat her on a chair while she busied herself gathering ingredients and herbs. "So, tell me what exactly happened."
"We was playing hide- and - seek when suddenly, I heard Aurora scream. I made it to her in just enough time to see a shadowy man take her into a portal," Alloria started before she started crying again. "I wasn't fast enough Nana. I couldn't save her. I wasn't fast enough."
"Oh, hunny. It will be ok. Nana will help you fix this." Melany said as she mixed everything in a cauldron. With a smile, the witch slit her hand open, her blood pouring into the cauldron. A purple puff of smoke appeared over the cauldron and once it cleared, Melany poured the contents on the floor creating a shimmering portal on the floor just like the one that Alloria had seen her sister dragged into. "Go now, Alloria. This will bring you near the same place that your sister is but it will only last for one hour. So be careful because time in the underworlds is different then time here."
With a quick, determined nod, Alloria ran into the portal and looked around. She could see that she was practically in a maze of hallways and doors. Knowing that she didn't have all day to try every single one of them, she allowed her enhanced senses to guide her.
She heard her sister's screams of fear before anything so she followed the sound down the hallway to her right all the way to the end. As she reached the end, she realized the hallway didn't split off but had doors on both side, both of which, her sister's screams was coming from. Knowing that it was not possible for her sister to be in both, Alloria allowed her nose to lead her on her next move.
As she sniffed the air for her sister's unique smell, the door on the left somehow blew open revealing her sister being held in the air by chains, screaming, with wind somehow encircling her and pushing out from her center.
Alloria ran up to her sister and pulled on the chains with as much strength as she could muster.
"Run, Ally. He's behind you. don't let him get you too." Aurora pleaded, fear evident in her eyes.
As Alloria tugged again, making it evident she was not going anywhere without her sister, a male's wicked laugh came from over Alloria's shoulder and before she could so much as turn around to face the culprit, she was thrown across the room.
As she hit the wall hard, she stood back up, spitting her own blood on the floor.
"Give me back my sister."
"Oh, this is perfect. I now have both the legendary twins."
Alloria, being the quick thinking, smart preteen that she was, knew that she would have the upper hand if she made a bet, dare, or contract with him. Demons couldn't resist taking them.
"I dare you to forge a contract with me and if you don't, then everyone would know you're just a cowardly no one."
The demon growled but his shoulders slumped as he knew he had been beat. "Fine, you win this time but remember, I always come out on top. Any stipulations? Be quick before I decide to make them all on my own."
"Only that you guarantee me and my sister's safety and our return home."
"Alright, and in exchange, you will give me your emotions and once you're dead, you're souls will be mine."
"Fine," Alloria said at the same time Aurora said, "No."
The moment that Alloria agreed, however, a contract and a slit on Alloria's palm appeared out of nowhere. Alloria placed her hand on the contract, unbeknownst that there was a get out clause in the fine print and the girls was returned, safely, home.

Alloria had apparently fallen asleep as she was in her flashback because she was woken up at two A.M. to her phone ringing. As she picked it up, she quickly answered without looking at it with a gruff voice.
"This is Detective Kurenia, and this best be an emergency."
"Morning detective, and I hope you don't always answer like that." the voice of Captain Jameson came through the other line.
"No, just when I am woken up." Alloria said, "But seriously, what's the problem captain?"
"We have a murder on our hands. I'll send you the address, just get here as soon as you can." Captain Jameson said before he hung up. The next moment, Alloria received the message that told her the scene of the murder was Rosepond State Park. She sat her phone down and immediately began dressing in a tight, blue leather jumper and black biker boots. As she ran down the stairs, she tied her long white hair into a long pony and ran out the house to her Harley Davidson.
