Joe and Kirstie “Hey,” he tapped Kirstie’s shoulder. He turned around to face her, but she even lowered her head. He took a peek at her face and saw the bruise beside her lips. “What happened to your face?” he asked. “It’s nothing,” she said. “Nothing? There’s a bruise in—“ “Joe!” someone called him. He turned around and saw Lori waving her hand. She gestured for him to come over to where she was. He smiled and told her to wait. He faced Kirstie again, but she ran away. “Who was that?” Lori asked him. “It was your sister,” he replied. “Kirstie?” she asked. “What happened to her?” “What do you mean?” “She got a bruise on her lips,” Joe told her. “I don’t know. Maybe she tripped on her feet again. She’s a bit clumsy, you know,” she said. “Come on, our class will start soon,”
