Unknown POV
It's been days since I have been tailing my next victim, from his house to his work and to everywhere else under the sun. I have been recording every details of his life in the good book. The nickname I gave my little black notebook which contains details of all my victims. It is like a diary of sorts. It is so very dear to me and is always kept safe at all times. It is an important piece of my life.
I am currently walking down Charles Street, tailing Dr. Benjamin. I have been following him from this morning at around 8 o' clock. He left his home, kissing his wife goodbye, before heading in to work; or so his wife thought. In fact he was really heading over to his mistress house, one that is heavily pregnant for him. I sat outside waiting for him for around three hours before he left her house and decided to head to work. I strolled behind him at a safe distance to work the entire time. To any onlookers, I am just an ordinary blonde chick pedestrian. I blended right in. Nothing about me screamed dangerous. Smiling to myself, I thought if only they knew.
Finally, Dr. Ben reached his destination, the hospital. Walking across the street from the hospital, I stopped and bought a newspaper from a salesman and headed inside the small diner. When inside the diner I searched for a nice seat in the corner where I got a perfect view of the hospital exit.
"Hello how may I help you?" a young waiter asked me after approaching my table. He was looking at me lasciviously causing me to shudder from disgust slightly. Fighting the urge to snap at him, I smiled sweetly instead.
"A cup of coffee and a slice of cheese cake please."
"OK coming right up."
He walked away leaving me all to myself, just how I wanted it. I took up the news paper I bought earlier and started to browse through. There wasn't anything great in the news paper except for a small article on the Throat Slasher, a serial killer plaguing the city for the past year. As usual the police was being tight lipped about the situation. Looking up I realized the waiter was returning with my order.
"Here you go miss."
"Thanks."
Placing my order on the table, he looked at me once more before he left me alone again. Ahh the peace. I went right back to reading about this killer. The piece was quite comical to say the least. It almost had me cracking up loudly as the Brighton Police Dept. wasn't even close in finding the truth. They were all incompetent idiots.
After a few hours of sitting at the table ordering and reordering coffee on top of coffee, I finally saw Dr. Ben exiting the hospital. Quickly downing my current cup of coffee, I got up threw some cash on the table and left. I followed him all the way home. He was going to be all alone tonight as his wife was heading out of town. Tonight was the night.
Unbeknownst to Dr. Ben, today was his last day on earth. He was about to meet a bloody end.
