I can hear the faintness of Amora's cries. Everything seemed to slow down; the figure in front of me reached out with slickly looking black hands. Cleo was beside me, hiding her face in the sand.
I looked down at Amora, who was wailing. Her pearl was glowing. She was doing this.
"Shh, it's okay, Amora, they can't hurt you...I won't let them." I said as I cradled her in my chest as I calmed her; I raised my hand to the black figure in front of us and let out a blast of Hellfire. Then, everything went back to normal; I scrambled to get up, backing away.
"Cleo! Get up!" I shouted; she got to her feet and ran with me.
"Where's Father?!" Cleo yelled. I looked behind us, but he was not there, and the land was no longer safe for us.
I turned to the water.
