-Flashback-
"Dad!" I yelled to him on the shore. He was already in the water and had changed. I was use to his form. I ran down the hill and jumped into the water with him. Of course I had not changed yet. I was only 10 but i could hold my breath for a pretty long time. I loved to see my dads swim around in the oasis pool. His form was long and it reminded me of a shadow. He started to swim around me and made a whirl pool that spun me around. I loved the whirlpool trick. He pulled me out of it and put me on his shoulders and out of the water to breath.
"Again! Again!" I said while laughing. My dad was chuckling,"You need to catch your breath kiddo. You can't breath underwater like I can," he stated.
"So? I can hold my breath for a long time!" he smiled and pulled me off his shoulders and into his arms. "That may be true but you'll need to come up for air sometime," he said.
"I love you dad, your gonna live forever right? Forever and ever," I stretched my arms out as wide as I could.
He gently put his forehead against mine and said "Forever and ever kiddo."

I never knew how much that memory could hurt...until now. This couldn't be true. He was all I had to go back too and now he was gone. I couldn't believe this...
I felt a hand of my shoulder. Poseidon was trying to console me but nothing could take this feeling away. It felt like it was part of me now. I wanted to be with him so bad. I wanted this to be dirty joke and he would pop out somewhere and say "Gotcha!" but the look on Poseidon's face was all too real.
"I can image how your feeling. I lost Theo's mother in childbirth," he said.
"I want to be alone please.." I turned away from him.
"As you wish," he replied and walked out of the dining hall.
I dropped to my knees and cried. If I could even call this crying. It felt like all the pain, anger and sadness was spilling out of me. I yelling and pounding the floor. "You should of gone you stupid b***h! Not him!" I thought of my mother. I hated that a soul like his was taken instead of her. The evil witch.
"Faleen?" someone called my name but I was to engrossed in my pain and grief to hear anyone or anything. I felt someone pull on me and yanked myself away but they kept tugging on me.
"Quit It! Just leave me alone!" I screamed and slapped whoever's hand had tried to pull me towards them but they wrapped themselves around me.
I turned around to push them away but glimpse the hazel eyes and glasses and realized it was Theo who had wrapped me in his arms. I tried to push my way out but he held me tight. "Get away from me!" I started to pound on his chest. "I don't need you! I don't need anyone!" He still didn't moved. He then pushed my head into his chest and the smell of him made me want to fall apart.
I tried to fight him but he wouldn't let me go. I gave up and clawed my fingers into his chest and balled my eyes out. "It hurts..It hurts so much.." I said between hiccups and sniveling. He laid his head upon mine and said nothing but somehow I knew he felt my pain. "Make it stop please.."I begged.
"Nothing can stop this kind of pain Faleen. It only gets easier with time," Theo placed his hand on my back and rubbed it. I suddenly felt a rush of warmth go up my spine and fell into a deep sleep.
-Theo POV-
I heard her yelling and screaming. I knew father had told her about her father. I held her in my arms. She was a mess and she was broken. She pounded on my chest but I let her. I let her cry and I let her try to push me away but I wasn't going anywhere. Not when she was like this. For some reason I'd taking a liking to her and it pained me to see her this way.
Her hair was matted in a fuzzy black ball and her face was like a snotty nosed kid. She begged me to make it stop but of course I couldn't stop this kind of pain. Not when it ran so deep. I did the only thing I could. I put her in a deep sleep. She would wake up in a day or two but it was the best I could do. I cradled her in my arms.
She looked so fragile, I grazed my hand on her cheek wiping the remaining tears away. She reminded me of water. She was a tsunami a moment ago and now was calm like the stillness of water before a storm.
I picked her up in my arms and decided to take her to my fathers guest room. She wouldn't have anyone to bother her there. I placed her gently on the bed and took her shoes off and placed them on the floor next to the bed.
"She not only resembles him but acts like him as well," my father startled me and got ready to throw a punch.
"Easy there tiger, Its just me," he said. I rested my arm on the bed post. "You put her to sleep huh?" he asked.
I nodded,"She would of cried for eons if I would of let her," I added.
"Theo?.." My father said with a hint of warning in his voice. "Don't get too close to this girl. Delilah is waiting for you in the main hall. Come."
I faltered at the mention of her name. I thought Id be able to cope with this...marrying Delilah and producing a heir to the throne but I felt a slight pull maybe even a slight tug towards Faleen.
"Theo...You will learn to love Delilah like she loves you,"he stated
I huffed in response,"Delilah does not feel love for me. She just wants the throne I'll sit upon and the title of being queen," I turned to face my father.
"That may be true Theo but we have no choice. Hades made it very clear what was to happen if we wanted to stop hell from being unleashed on these seas and I for one will not have that. The people expect more from us and they expect us to keep them safe and that's exactly what we are going to do. Now come, don't let Delilah wait for you to long." He turned and left the room.
I turned to Faleen sleeping peacefully but I knew the instant she woke up, she would be anything but calm. Hell she might even wanna kick my butt for putting her to sleep. I chuckled at the thought. Luna would have to be here when she woke because I knew I couldn't be. I had to start distancing myself from her so my feelings would die down.
As much as it pained me I had to make Delilah a priority now.
