Dreams and other stories

I have started at the academy for training, I'm already very strong and intelligent but I need this class to move forward. I am (Name) and I'm enrolled in Basic training for the military I'm in the intelligents section. I was told to put my shoes and personal belongings inside of the large open mechanical cell that moved to empty as well as all my classmates. I started making conversation with the girl beside me "Hey, what's your name?" I say trying to pass the time, she looks at me maybe a bit surprised I said " Erica I'm Erica what's your name?" she said kinda perky I smiled back at her "I'm...". A big crash disturbed my words as I looked at the cell that holds our belongings my shoes were thrown in front of me most of the belongings of everyone destroyed . I wonder for a moment maybe this is part of our training I quickly put my shoes on and investigate the cause of the explosion as I walk over towards the open flame everyone else is looking for an exit I see a fire extinguisher and open the case it's in. I then put out the not so large flames to prevent spreading further I notice it looks like the cell for the belongings was tampered with when someone had done something to the battery box. I then follow the rest outside the building like I didn't see anything we are all lined up as the Sargent speaks "I am Sargent Michael, There was a malfunction with the cell machine our apologies for any lost items we will do our best to recover or replace any belongings lost in the fire, in the meantime all classes report to the cafeteria for check in and meals." he spoke very loud as if he had a mike an as far as I could tell he did not. I knew the cell machine was tampered with but I did not understand why it wasn't being made public. As sarge said I reported to the cafeteria it was a long line to get through I decided to find the bathroom before dealing with it. On my way to the bathroom I got myself lost there was an older lady on my way I stopped and asked her "Mam do you know where the restroom is?" she looked at me a bit startled and she seemed distracted " What was that Hun?" she asked before I could reply she said again " I'm sorry Hun I'm looking at this rope on the ceiling if I was any younger id climb it to see where it goes" I then look up there is a dark rope leading up into a dark space my curiosity intrigued me I look to the older woman "I could go up there an see where it leads" I say to a intrigued woman" "Sounds like a plan, but you must be quick with it Hun there are guards doing runs threw here and I don't think they would like people poking around" I look at her then back up at the rope "see you on the other side" I say sarcastically as I know she cannot get up there on her own I make my way to the rope I have to jump to grab a hold of it I clime my way up into the darkness to see what lays ahead.
