Damien's POV I was losing it, the last threads of control I'd been desperately clinging to finally snapping. I couldn't contain myself anymore, couldn't stay in that office surrounded by the wreckage of what we'd just done to each other. The smell of whiskey was suffocating, the sight of Aria's face twisted with hatred was unbearable, and the sound of glass crunching under my feet was a symphony of destruction I couldn't face. So I left. I had to leave before I did something worse, said something more unforgivable, destroyed what little remained between us beyond any hope of salvaging.
