We already looked at all of the 12 zodiac signs so it's time to keep going. This time we will be taking a look at something else - the 12 houses in astrology. Each sign feels at home in one of each house. They go in order like this:
1st house - Aries
2nd house - Taurus
3rd house - Gemini
4th house - Cancer
5th house - Leo
6th house - Virgo
7th house - Libra
8th house - Scorpio
9th house - Sagittarius
10th house - Capricorn
11th house - Aquarius
12th house - Pisces
Not everyone has their houses in these specific signs because it's different for different charts. It depends in which sign is your rising sign as well aka 1st house. If you use placidius like me for houses, then you might see signs doubling in some places. As an example I'll give my chart where there is a doubling of Gemini and Sagittarius. My rising sign is in Taurus, making my 1st house in Taurus. Doubling occurs only with opposite signs! Here is example:
1st house - Taurus
2nd house - Gemini
3rd house - Gemini
4th house - Cancer
5th house - Leo
6th house - Virgo
7th house - Scorpio
8th house - Sagittarius
9th house - Sagittarius
10th house - Capricorn
11th house - Aquarius
12th house - Pisces
Despite not seeing Aries and Libra it doesn't mean that they aren't there. If you use whole signs(one sign per house) for your chart it will turn out looking like this (again using my chart as an example):
1st house - Taurus
2nd house - Gemini
3rd house - Cancer
4th house - Leo
5th house - Virgo
6th house - Libra
7th house - Scorpio
8th house - Sagittarius
9th house - Capricorn
10th house - Aquarius
11th house - Pisces
12th house - Aries
Along with knowing that it is also important to know the meaning of each of the 12 houses. Without knowing these it will be impossible to read a natal chart no matter how hard you try. Try to remember the meaning of each house:
1st house - ourselves, the way we look, our body, appearance, identity, consciousness
2nd house - money, finances, it can be used to see from where a person might earn their income, self-esteem, self worth
3rd house - communication, writing, siblings, language, technology
4th house - family, home, ancestry, safety
5th house - creativity, entertainment, pleasure, play, kids, romance
6th house - health, hygiene, service, duty, pets
7th house - romantic relationship, business partnerships, marriage, contracts
8th house - s*x, death, taxes, deep transformation, occult, taboo topics, shared finances
9th house - travel, foreign countries, higher studies, philosophy, religion, ethics, education
10th house - career, public image, fame, authority, discipline, awards
11th house - friends, groups of people, friends, social media, invention, futurism, rebellion, technology
12th house - hidden enemies, spirituality, subconscious, afterlife, mental health, hidden power, endings, afterlife
