We should start first by knowing that there are 12 zodiac signs. Knowing the basics will be very important, especially when we will have to try to read a natal chart wheel later on in the next chapters of this book. We should also keep in mind that there aren't any bad or good signs. They can be from one of these elements - fire, earth, air and water. I'll write them in order right now and each of their element. Pisces ♓︎ Elements of the 12 signs: Fire signs - Aries, Sagittarius, Leo Earth signs - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn Air signs - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius Water signs - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces Here is a bit more about the elements and key words I use: Earth - can be connected to life, the one surrounding us and the one we are part of. It teaches us patience, sustainability, humility and persistence. People who have one or more Earth signs are persistent, usually goal oriented and very reliable. They prefer to have stability in their lives, careers, home life, etc. They can be very patient. For some respect and diplomacy are very important. Capricorns can be a bit more conservative compared to the other two signs. Virgos tend to see even the smallest details and don't let anything pass/don't miss anything until it's perfect for their standards. It's harder to win an Earth sign's trust, love or friendship and it takes time but they can be friends you'd want to have around. Their emotions can be consistent. They are very grounded. People who lack the element can have inconsistent emotions that can be strong in most cases. They tend to live more in their fantasies than in real life. Fire - enthusiasm, strong emotions, creativity, strong belief, energy People with Fire placements tend to always have something they want to achieve. Aiming towards higher goals to achieve is kinda like a part of their personality. They often feel like they are meant to do something great, something big and impactful. Unfortunately they might look authoritarian or like they are always getting in someone's way without caring or too irrational. They won't think about whether or not their opinion or advice is wanted, they'll just give it with no second thought. They might be jumping in risky situations in some cases without thinking about the consequences of their actions. They aren't as persistent as Earth signs. They often feel like kids or love kids. Their emotions are strong and in some cases intense. They tend to be good leaders and easily spark new ideas to life. They can be very creative and artistic. People who don't have any fire placements tend to have less energy, be more pessimistic and don't have a strong belief. Air - objectivity, sociable, humanitarian, diplomatic, generator for ideas, sociable, friendliness, adaptive Air signs are intelligent people who are mostly very sociable in one way or another. They are true humanitarians and intellectuals and despite not showing much emotions they still have them no matter what others say and can feel deeply. From the Air signs Aquarius placements tend to have very good intuition which helps them. Air signs are objective and look at one situation from different angles. However they might be chaotic or their thoughts might be all over the place. They use their mind more compared to their heart and are more logical. Lack of placements in this element can make a person not so logical. Their mind is probably not their strongest side. Communication might be hard for them and they might need to put more effort into it. The "humanitarian side" isn't very shown or developed. Water - emotions, intuition, intensity, depth, empathy, imagination People who have water signs have very strong and intense emotions. Most tend to be very intuitive. There is a sense of being ready to sacrifice for others and good emotional understanding. Cancers and Pisces placements are especially caring when it comes to other people. They tend to be good at remembering things. People who have Water placements can be very creative and artistic as well just like people with Fire placements. They should be careful to not obsess over people or things, especially Scorpio placements. Emotions often play important role in making decisions. People who don't have any placements in this element tend to be more rational. They aren't very emotional compared to people who have water signs in their charts.
