Our New Beginning
Third person p.o.v The head of the council (elders) rang down his gavel with a mighty bang. All the members from the Green Valley Pack snapped their eyes to him in attention. Next to him stood their Alpha. They new what was happening next. A woman in her early 30’s was led to the chair, and sat before the council. Despite what was happening, she was almost eerily calm. “State your name and the reason you were brought before this council,” said the elder. “My name is Louise Nightingale, and I was brought before this court because I came upon a rogue infant and refused to give her up,” she stated. “And why is it you refused to give the child to the proper authorities within your pack?” Asked the Elder (Alan). “Because the Moon Goddess herself came to me in a dream, and told me I was to raise the child, and to love her unconditionally as if she were my own,” she calmly stated. The Elder used his powers of mind reading to see if she was stating the truth. “What she is saying is truthful, and we may not go against the Goddesses choice. Is there anything you would like to add, Alpha Craig?” “Yes, there is. The child may remain with you, because the council has ordered it so, but understand that neither of you will be treated with kindness, and both shall be severely demoted. You are now omegas, even lower then omegas. I forbid for you to ever shift, and I forbid any kindness to you. Your dream of the Moon Goddess was just that, nothing more. She would never have spoken to someone as lowly as you. You are to pack your things and move to the outskirts of the pack, and forever be isolated from all other pack members. I swear it shall be,” and as the Alpha spat his words, every other pack members demeanor changed from that day forward towards the woman. Even those who had been forever in her life, and as she left the courthouse on the pack grounds she was shoved, punched, kicked and slapped all through the crowd. A broken and beaten woman fell from there clutches, and crawled her way back to her house. Once there she packed up hers and her new found babies things, and headed to a dirty cottage far from everyone else. “Here we are my sweet little Alicia. It’s not much but it’s our new home,” she said quietly, staring sadly into the young babies eyes. She quickly cleaned the little cottage up, settled hers and her daughters things up inside, and broke down crying. “This is it,” she sighed. “This is our new beginning.”
