My Brothers Best Friend Is My Mate

The Football Game

I woke up in the morning and started getting ready for school. We had a football game today so I wore my school spirit cloths. We're the Cleveland Rams, I had on my Cleveland Wrestling joggers and put on a tank top. Then I ran to my brothers room and knocked on his door.

"Yeah?" He asked.

I open the door "Can I borrow one of your Jersey's?" I asked.

"Sorry, I let my friend borrow one and my others are dirty, I've only got one left which I have to wear." He said.

"Ugh." I groaned annoyed.

"I'll have Ross bring one of his for you to borrow." He said and I mentally groaned not really wanting to borrow one of his for some reason.

"Okay, thanks." I said with a some what fate smile, though I was still kinda happy.

I went down stairs and started eating my breakfast. Ross came in, not bothering to knock cause he knows by now that he doesn't need to cause my parents and siblings consider him family.

"Hey, here's my jersey.' He said tossing the jersey at me, which I easily caught.

"Thanks." I said as I put it on.

"No problem" He said as he sat down on the couch until my brother came down.

It wasn't the first time I borrowed one of his Jerseys or cloths, but still, it was kinda weird now for some reason, probably cause I just found out he's my mate, but he's my brother's BEST friend, it's not right, but they say the moon goddess doesn't make mistakes.

 We all got in Ross's car and left to go to school.

We got to school and I got out and walked in the school building as they stayed at the car still. I went to the wrestling room to put my practice bag in my locker, then I went to my friends locker where I saw Tyler, Angel, and Lillie.

"Hey guys!" I greeted with a smile.

"Hey Ash! I see your ready for the game." Tyler said.

"Yup!" I said cheerfully and looked over at Angel and noticed she was wearing my brothers jersey, but I didn't think much of it, it's not the first time.

*Later*

After practice I went to the locker room and showered and got ready for the football game, changing back into my cloths from earlier after I showered. I did my make up and was ready to go so I walked out and went to he Football field. I went in and looked around for my brother. I spotted him and started heading over to and stopped when I saw Ross. A girl walked up to him and put her arm around his bicep. He turned to look at her and he was smiling. She was the most popular girl in school. Suddenly he turned and looked in my direction. I turned my head and was looking around acting like I didn't notice.

I saw Lillie and Tyler, so I stared walking over to them cause I wanted to avoid what happened, but then I felt a hand grab my arm and I turned to see Ross frowning at me.

"What?" I asked a bit rudely.

"Sorry...." He said and let go then continued " Are you not gonna come see us before the game like usual?" He asked sadly.

"Actually I was gonna go talk to my friends."  I said coldly.

"Oh.....Well....Okay, but I bet Flash would prefer to see you first like usual, and so would I." He said kinda sadly.

"I don't see why you wanna see me when you already have some girl rapped up around you." I said rather harshly.

He looked shocked "What? That was nothing and I told her to stop an-" He started but stopped and looked down sadly which pained me to see, especially cause it' my fault. "Let's just talk about this later."

"Okay." Was all I said as I didn't know what else to say.

We were beating the other team by a lot, it was 34-7. I was on the sideline cheering for my team. We were doing great, but then Ross charged at someone and they charged too, and there was a loud cracking sound and Ross fell to the ground they cleared the field and medics ran to him along with my brother. I ran to him worried and crouched down next to him. "Ross! Are you okay?" I asked worriedly, even though deep down I know he'll be okay cause he's a werewolf, but some of these people don't know that cause most of them are humans.

"Yeah...I'll be fine." He said pained.

The EMS put him in the ambulance and made sure he was okay. It was just a dislocated shoulder, but I know that hurts cause I've dislocated my knee before and it hurts like hell. 

They said he needs to be careful and can't play Football for a while, even the they popped it back in place, which I know also hurts like hell from what happened to my knee.

The coach and football players were upset about this, but Ross reassured them that he's fine and they continued the game, which we won of course.

It didn't take to long to heal, but he has to act like it didn't cause of the humans and its been rather aggrivating, especially for me cause all the girls have been all over him even more 'trying to make sure he's okay' and 'help him with anything he needs' as they say. It makes me just wanna punch someone in the face and I don't know why, it's not like he's my boyfriend or anything.

I was walked up to my brother, Ross, and their friends cause I needed the car keys to go get my sweatshirt that I left in the car.

I walked up and asked for the keys when that girl from before came up and rapped her arm around Ross' bicep again. "Hey baby, are you feeling any better? Can I help you get to class?" she asked which annoyed me for some reason.

"Actually Ash already said she would and plus I have to go to my car to get her sweatshirt." He said moving her hands off him and walked over to me putting his arm around my shoulders and start walking. Flash looked shocked and confused. 

"What was that about?" I asked as we walked away.

"I wanted to get away from her, thanks for going with it." He said as his eyes clouded over, which meant he was mind linking someone. Suddenly he moved his arms from my shoulders which made me a bit sad for some reason.

(Ross POV)

'Dude What the f**k are you doing? That's my sister!' Flash yelled through mind link angerly.Then I moved my arm from her shoulders

'Chill dude I just wanted to get away from that girl, she's obnoxious and I get annoyed when people act like that cause of my knee and I know Ash won't be like that, so I'm just going with her to my car to get her sweatshirt so I don't have to deal with all that.' I said reassuringly.

'Mmmm...Okay, that's understandable, I trust you. But if you ever went after my sister I'd kill you cause you know she's off limits!' He said seriously and I just chuckled I turned off the mind link.

:"Who were you mind linking?" My beautiful mate asked as I looked down to her.

"It was just Flash, asking what the f**k I was doing cause you're his sister." I said honestly.

"Oh. What'd you tell him." She asked.

"That I just wanted to get away from that annoying girl and would go with you to get your sweatshirt." I said.

"Okay." She said smiling.

(Ash's POV) 

For some reason him calling her annoying made me happy. I'm glad he doesn't like her, or at least I don't think he does.
