My Brothers Best Friend Is My Mate

Our Little Secret

(Ash's POV)

I woke up in a lot of pain. I looked around and noticed I was in the hospital wing. I saw a little couch Tara was sleeping on and Flash was sitting next to her looking at me and on her other side Jacob was sitting on the arm of the couch, also starring at me. Ross was sitting in the chair next to my bed just starring at me.

"What happened?" I croaked.

"You were attacked by a rouge." Flash said coming up and sitting on the bed, grabbing my hand and i noticed his tear stricken face.

Everything started coming back to me, I remembered everything from that night and started to panic, looking around as I try to sit up, but struggle as I fall back down as I'm in too much pain. Ross immediately stands up and puts a hand on my shoulder causing sparks to shoot throughout my body. "Careful, you aren't fully healed yet." He said soothingly. Hie voice seems to make me immediately relax as I look in his eyes and get lost and feels as if we're the only ones here.

'What's going on?' I thought.

'Mate.' My wolves struggled to say.

'What?!'

"Your wolf is still very weak, the rouges took huge chunks out of you, they hurt you pretty badly. The doctor says it'll be a while until you can talk to her again." Flash says pulling me from my trance as I turn my gaze to Flash as it pains me to look away.

I immediately look to my shoulder and then to my ribs. My ribs hurt more and the whole left side was all black, blue and purple and I winced in pain.

"Careful! You broke a couple ribs." Ross says worriedly as he carefully and gently grabbed my hand and pulled it away from my rib cage area while making sure to not hurt me. Sparks shoot up my arm and to my heart. I get a getty and fuzzy feeling inside.

*2 Days Later* 

The doctor finally let me go home. My parents had to leave for pack business regarding the rouges. Flash was on patrol and Rachael was training. I was left with Tara but I 'wasn't in a condition to take care of her on my own' as they said. The Alpha decided to have Ross go stay with me. 

I walked into my room as Tara fell asleep. Ross walked in with me. "You didn't have to follow me and you didn't really need to come take care of me, really, I'm fine." I say as I turn around and look at him.

"You're not fine and even if you don't need me to take care of you I still would...after all..you are my Mate." He said and my eyes widen in shock. I wasn't expecting him to say something like that.

"Yeah...but still." I say looking down as if the floor is the most interesting thing.

"I think we should keep this a secret.....I don't know how to tell Flash about this..I don't think I even wanna know how he'd react." He said sadness in his eyes.

"Yeah." I whispered. I'm worried, I've been worried since I found out, thinking he might reject me cause he sees me more like a sister...and this makes me believe that even more. Thing is I've kinda had a crush on him for a long time, but he's my brothers best friend, it's wrong and I shouldn't feel this way.

I'm suddenly pulled out of my thoughts as sparks ignite throughout my body as I feel arms wrap around my waist. I look up in shock to be met by the most beautiful blue eyes. I got so lost in his eyes as something ignited inside me. He leaned down and his lips brushed against mine. My mind started going hazy and I wrap my arms around his neck.

His lips connect with mine and we kiss passionately. He bites my lip asking for access and I open my mouth and he slips his tongue into my mouth, deepening the kiss. A moan escapes my lips as his tongue explores my mouth. He pulls away and starts trailing kisses to my jaw and down my neck until he finds my sweet spot. I moan in pleasure as I tangle my hands into his hair and pull him closer. His hands on my waist tightens as I moan. His hands move down to my thighs lightly pulling up and I jump into his arms as he pins me to the wall.

He pulls back a little as we're both panting. "God you're sexy....If we continue I don't know if I'd be able to control myself." He says and I nod in understanding. "We have to keep this a secret for a while." He says and kisses the top of my head before putting me down. 

We hear little footsteps running down the hall and my doorknob starts to turn before the door opens as me and Ross jump away from each other. Tara comes in and runs to me "Ash!" She says and hugs my leg.

I look at the time and see it's been 2 and a half hours. "Well look who's finally up." I say smiling at her as I pick her up. "I'm guessing you're hungry, let's go make dinner." 

"Okay!" She cheers. I giggle before walking down stairs.

I put her down in the living room with toys and go into the kitchen to start making dinner. Ross came n the kitchen with me to help make dinner. I look at what all we have and decide to make fried chicken with mashed potatoes, corn and Mac n' Cheese. Me and Ross made dinner and set up the table for everyone and fixed everyone's plates. Soon after, while I was getting Tara set up for dinner everyone else came in and we all had dinner together and, of course, Ross stayed for dinner and stayed the night.
