Chapter Twelve

2704 Words
It had taken Colton a couple of days to recuperate emotionally from his date with Liam, which included his humiliating entry into the c**k Sucking Olympics. Now that he was away from the people at the party he could make all the excuses in the world about why he’d acted the way he did. He could twist his memories into his own version of the truth just so he didn’t have to admit he had loved every second. He hadn’t heard from Liam or Daddy and Kitten since, but he was kind of grateful for that. He did, however, receive a bunch of tips from several people at the party for “services rendered.” It made him feel like a prostitute. Like the w***e they claimed he was. It was the biggest payout he’d made since starting at Casual Companions and he had yet to pick up the check because it just didn’t feel right. Mason was still trying to get him to open up about what happened, but as with his first encounter with Daddy and Kitten, he refused to say anything. Maybe he was embarrassed. Or maybe he didn’t want Mason to see him in that light. Either way, Mason had dropped the subject, so now he could move on and forget that it ever happened. After a few more days had passed, Colton was settled once again into his routine. He wanted things to go back to normal, but what happened at the party had left its mark on him. He found himself being bolder with his dates. At one point he even considered taking Lawrence up on the offer to spend the night. The only thing that stopped him was that he knew what Lawrence wanted from him, and he still wasn’t quite ready to make a willing decision like that. However, with Lucas, he didn’t feel threatened or pressured. He was in control of what happened between them, and he liked that feeling. It felt safe. Colton stood in the doorway, a frown on his face as he looked down at Lucas. They had just finished with their date and he was trying to say goodbye but Lucas was making it a hell of a lot harder than it had to be. Normally Colton came in the evenings but this call had been a bit different. Lucas had requested him last minute in the middle of the day. When he got there, he noticed Lucas wasn’t himself. He seemed down in the dumps, depressed, and slightly closed off. After almost an hour of talking with him, Lucas broke down and cried on his shoulder. Colton didn’t say anything, he just held him and let him have his moment. He knew what days like that were like so he wasn’t one to judge. “You all right?” Colton asked as he tugged Lucas closer and wrapped his arms around him, pulling his head down on his shoulder. Lucas closed his eyes and nodded, but remained silent. “You sure?” Colton bent his head forward and looked down, trying to catch Lucas’ eyes. “I mean it. If you’re not, I can stay.” As he nodded Lucas swiped at the tears that escaped from the corners of his eyes, then stepped back. Even though he had put a little distance between them his hands still gripped the bottom of Colton’s shirt. “I’m sure. I’m okay.” He kept his eyes down because he didn’t want to be confronted by Colton’s gaze. Colton shook his head as if saying he wasn’t going to allow Lucas to get away with avoiding him. He took hold of his chin and tipped his face upward until their eyes met. “Everything will be all right, I promise,” he whispered. “I’ll come around this evening to check on you. I don’t have anything to do tonight so it’s on me. Maybe we can play some video games? I’ll bring pizza with me. We’ll hang out, cuddle a little...” Colton let the sentence die and wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. Lucas laughed. “All right, if you want. But don’t think you have to.” “I don’t think that. I want to.” Colton leaned in and brushed his lips across Lucas’. “I’m going to go. I’ll be back later.” Colton licked his lips and gave Lucas a sexy smile as he backed up and then turned, going up the steps that led out to the street. “See ya later.” Lucas waited until he was gone to lift his hand to his lips, touching them softly where Colton had kissed him. Damn, he thought to himself, that man made him weak in the knees. As soon as he was away from Lucas’ place, Colton pulled his phone out of his pocket to check his texts and messages. “Will you be home for dinner?” He smiled at Mason’s text and answered him quickly. “Nah, I’m going to visit with a friend. He’s having a hard time and I want to check in on him later.” “Okay. Love you. Be safe!” Colton read the last message a few times, trying to decide how to reply. He knew now how deep Mason’s love for him was, and although he loved Mason in return, it wasn’t like that for him. He didn’t want to lead him on, but then again, Mason had always understood where they both stood on that. He decided to answer honestly and let Mason figure out the rest. “Love you, too.” Pushing that out of his mind, Colton checked his next text and smiled when he saw it was from Addie. “I miss you. Are you coming by tonight?” Over the last few days he had slept at Addie’s house more than he had stayed at home. He wasn’t staying there to avoid Mason, even though it seemed that way. Mason didn’t like that he barely saw him, especially in the mornings before he went to work, but he couldn’t help that right now. He liked Addie a lot. The s*x was f*****g amazing and when he thought about leaving her bed at night to make the trip home, he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. So he stayed. Right now he wasn’t sure if he enjoyed spending time with her just because of the s*x, or if they had a real connection beyond their primal needs. He was more than willing to put in the time and find out though. “I miss you, too, but I can’t stay tonight.” He didn’t give her a reason because honestly, he didn’t have to. She took what she could get of his time and was happy with it. If they started dating, he knew that would change. Women always went through some sort of transformation after the first few months of hardcore dating. It became less about the s*x and more about the connection. He wanted to keep it more about the s*x, so he wanted to take it slow. The last text was from Aiden. He wanted him to meet up with him and the guys for an early dinner and some drinks before they all dispersed for work. Included in the text was an address he didn't recognize, but he knew it was somewhere in the Upper East Side. Colton texted him back quickly as he got off the train and caught another to go deeper into the city. “I’ll be right there.” As Colton made himself comfortable on the train, he opened his Casual Companions app to check his messages there and see if there were any job requests he’d be interested in. When a message dropped into his inbox he opened it quickly, seeing it was from Liam. He hadn’t heard from him in a while and he thought about putting off answering him, but then thought better of it. Who knew what would happen to him if Liam thought he had ignored him, just as Daddy had. He’d probably be subjected to another Olympic event. This time it might be double penetration instead of just having his face f****d. “Hey, Colton. I’m sorry I haven’t messaged you before now. Work’s been hectic. I just want to tell you I enjoyed our time together. I have to go out of town in a few weeks. What do you think about going with me?” Colton sighed and let his head fall against the window of the train. He wasn’t anywhere near the point of wanting to leave town with anyone, especially with someone like Liam, but he answered anyways intending to get out of it later. “I don’t mind going if I’m free. What are the dates?” When the train stopped, he got off and put his phone away so he could pay attention to where he was walking. He didn’t know where he and the guys were meeting and he didn’t want to take up too much time wandering around the city. He’d promised Lucas that he would be back tonight and he meant it. Colton finally found the right building and went in, catching the elevator up to the thirtieth floor. He found the condo and knocked, then grinned at Tyson when he pulled the door open. “Hey,” Colton said as he fist bumped him. “Hey, come on in.” When Tyson stepped back Colton walked in, looking around at the huge two story corner loft. Floor to ceiling windows allowed the light to spill in, making the place look bigger than it already was. “Holy s**t. Whose place is this?” “It’s mine,” Tyson replied with a smile as they walked further inside, joining the guys lounging in the living room. “Colt, did you see this f*****g place?” Brice said as he came from the kitchen carrying a few beers. Colton laughed as he nodded his head. “This is yours?” His eyes found Tyson again as he plopped down on one of the leather chairs. “Ask him what happened,” Jaime said as he took the beers from Brice and handed them out to everyone. “Theresa and I broke up. The apartment we lived in was hers to begin with, so I moved out.” “Bullshit,” Aiden said as he cracked open his beer. “Tell him the whole story.” Tyson took a deep breath and sighed. “All right.” His blue eyes met Colton’s as he tipped his drink to his lips to take a sip. “Theresa and I were getting into a lot of fights lately. She hated that I was so busy with my regulars. It was cutting into our time together, and I understood that. But, I gotta make a living, you know? She was okay with spending my money and always complained there wasn’t enough of it, but she didn’t want me to go out and make it. Didn’t make sense to me.” “Anyway,” he continued after taking another drink. “One of my clients was being very demanding, and she finally got fed up. She told me that if I didn’t quit, she’d break up with me.” Colton looked around the multi-million dollar condo and arched his eyebrow. “So you guys broke up and you hit the lottery?” Tyson chuckled and shook his head. “When I told one of my regulars about it... Julian... he told me that if I needed a place to live he’d take care of it. So I took him up on it.” Brice snickered and nudged Tyson. “Yeah, because we all need a pad like this, a new car, and a spending allowance. You f****d him, didn’t you?” “I didn’t f**k him.” Tyson adjusted his glasses and laughed. “So what if he did,” Colton said as he threw a smile in Tyson’s direction. “So you’ve got a sugar daddy but you haven’t f****d him?” Jaime asked as he propped his feet on the coffee table. “It’s not like that,” Tyson replied, looking a little red-faced. “All right, all right,” Aiden interjected with a wave of his hand. “Let’s drop it. What Ty does is his business. It’s a nice place, though, bro.” “Thanks,” Tyson said with a little smile. “Anyway,” Brice said, turning his attention to Colton. “How the f**k are you, Colt?” “I’m good. Been busy as fuck.” “Busy means money,” Jaime laughed and clapped Colton on the shoulder. “Getting any p***y?” Colton raised a brow and grinned. “I’m always getting p***y, dude.” He didn’t bother telling them it was Addie’s p***y. She was a client, and that was a big no-no. They sat there and bullshitted for a little while, easing out of the awkwardness that had started when Tyson was questioned about his new place. Fifteen minutes later their takeout arrived, and they quieted down a little until everyone was almost finished eating. When they started talking again the conversation quickly moved toward work. “Did you hear about that party? It’s a two grand payout.” Aiden looked at Colton. Colton shook his head, his eyes getting slightly wider. “Two grand payout?” He was instantly interested. “No, I didn’t see a request with a two thousand dollar payout. Where can I sign up?” He laughed and wiped his mouth, finished with his food. Brice sat back, shaking his head. “Dude, you want to steer clear of anything to do with those parties. Drugs, s*x, alcohol. Those people are s*x crazed, man. I don’t get into s**t like that. It’s hard to get away from it.” That sounded like his kind of party, he thought to himself. “But if it pays well...” “It may pay well but they aren’t the type of people you get involved with,” Brice said as he cracked open another beer. “It’s really the underbelly of this industry. You can tell the requests because they have a little code in the title. Once you apply for the request, you have to be vetted. I’m not sure how they vet you but a few of the guys I know who have worked these parties are pretty tight lipped about them.” Jaime cleared his throat and lifted his bottle to his lips, taking a long drink. “I wouldn’t get mixed up in that s**t if I were you. Bunch of perverts, all of them.” Colton thought about that for a moment. They couldn’t be any worse than the bunch of perverts that had spanked him, f****d his ass, and forced him to suck c**k and wear their come like it was a second skin. “What’s the code? I want to know so I can watch out for that s**t. I don’t want to get involved in any of it. I don’t want to accidentally apply for the request and then get dragged into a s*x ring.” Colton opened his phone and looked over at Brice. “What’s the code? I’m going to put it in my notes.” “It’s X1X2. I have no idea what it means or what it stands for. Either way, stay clear of that shit.” “I will,” Colton lied. First thing he planned to do when he left Tyson’s was look for those requests. Colton stood up and stretched his arms over his head. “I hate to eat and run, but I have to get going. Lucas is waiting on me.” “I have a date so you all have to get out, anyways,” Tyson said with a laugh. Colton grinned and went around the room, giving everyone a fist bump. “See you guys later. Oh, and Ty,” he looked over at him and smiled. “Nice place. Don’t let these jealous mother fuckers get to you.” He grinned when Tyson laughed and he received a few middle finger salutes from the other guys. With a wave, he left the condo and headed back toward the subway. Absently, he wondered what he’d have to do to get a nice place like that, but since his regulars seem to be Liam, Kitten, and Daddy, he didn’t want to think about it. They’d make him pay for it in spades, he was sure of it. Even though he wasn’t sure what Tyson was doing to get all that s**t, it really wasn’t his or anyone else’s business. He just hoped Barrick didn’t find out and get a cob up his ass about it. When he got on the train, he opened the app and searched for any job request with the code X1X2. Just as he thought, at least a dozen requests came up. There was a party for Friday night paying two grand just to show up. Instead of thinking twice Colton accepted the request, grinning a little as he put his phone away. If those guys didn’t want to make money that was all right with him. He’d think of them while he was spending his.
