Her Unexpected Mates

Chapter 11

 The legend of The Moon Reborn from the fire.

  Hundreds centuries ago, there was a small village of the wolves and the humans. In this small village lived a young girl she inherited her beast from her father, a strong man of the village, but her love and power of nature came from her mother. She was an outcast the people of the village looked upon her as a monster, a freak, unnatural. She chose to hide herself away from the village she loved so dearly. She grew in grace, beauty, wisdom, and power. She had turned of age and was able to shift into her beast at will.

 She spent so much time alone outside in the woods to escape the stares and whispers of the village people. The night of the fire moon she was so unaware of her surroundings that some of the village men captured her and tied her to a wooden stick coming out of the ground in the middle of the village. Soon, all the villagers had gathered to see the commotion, the men that had captured her lit the on fire. The flames engulfed her; she closed her eyes accepting that this was her fate.

 The flames did not burn her skin, the fire swirled around her and entered her body. She screamed at the heat that had overtaken her, whishing of the pain to end. The villages watch the flames and heard her cries. The villages watched a figure walking out of the fire. The outcast village girl lived on. She was reborn from the flames of the fire, she gained powers of nature. The wolves of the village recognized her as the goddess of the moon

 She found herself her mate and continue the bloodline of strong and powerful women. Now, every few centuries a new moon goddess was chosen to become the next goddess. Every future goddess will be blessed with grace, beauty, wisdom, power, love, and the mark of the Moon Goddess and will become the next Moon Goddess when she is of age.

 Isabella’s POV

  I know I’m awake, yet I don’t want to get up because that means I have to put on a smile and pretend to be happy on Ace’s and mine 18th birthday. If only some one know the pain that was awaiting me after this day. I start to fall back to sleep when an all to happy, Grace runs into my room and starts jumping on my bed. I snore pretending to still be asleep and that just makes her jump faster on my bed. I quickly grab her feet pulling her down and start tickling her. She cries out for mercy and I grant her mercy.

“Happy Birthday, Izzy!” She shouts.

“Thank you, have you woken up Ace yet?” I ask.

 She shakes her head and I tell her my little wake up plan for Ace. I didn’t bother getting dressed because I was wearing a baggy shirt and a pair of shorts. I walk down starts to the kitchen to find my mom and dad sitting at the table is with my brother Mason. I sit at the table; I pour myself a cup of coffee. I wait for it and second later, I hear is Ace shouts from upstairs. I jump up and run to the other side of the table.

“ISABELLA!!” Ace shouts.

 Ace comes into the dining room covered in baby power I had Grace put in his blow dryer. Ace start to come towards me and I run around the table. Ace chases me and I can’t help but shout something totally stupid.

“Mommy, Daddy help, a ghost is chasing me!”

 That made Grace laugh so hard she fell out her chair, Mason was confused, my mom couldn't hold back from laughing, and my dad didn't react other than a small smile. My plead for help made Ace more annoyed, he caught me and rubbed his face all over the back of my shirt. This is a birthday tradition of ours, I pull a prank on him and he gets me back when I least expect it. Ace kiss me on the cheek, and I wipe it off and stick my tongue out at him.

“Happy Birthday, sis. Love ya.” He says.

“Happy Birthday, bro, love ya too.” I say back.

 We eat breakfast together laughing and talking, until my dad closes all the doors in the dining room. The doors in this house are soundproof because werewolves have very sensitive hearing. My dad tell the family what happened yesterday with me and the legend and what it means. Grace basically wasn’t listening and just figured I was now some kind of princess. Mason got it and didn’t care but, that was expected for his age. Ace already know because we have the twin bond, what one twin knows so does the other. Mom was shocked to say the least and dad well was dad, he did a ton of research and found a lot of information for him and mom to take about.

 I want something to eat after all this stress, I open a tray cover and a giant spider comes out of it. I jump up away from the table with a scream. My dad quickly covers the spider and takes it out the room with a small smile once again on his face. Grace, Mason, and Ace are laughing but me and mom on the other hand are scared s**t less of spiders. Which I know is weird for werewolves to be afraid of spiders, but they are just scary for some reason. After mom relaxes from her scare with help from dad my phone starts to ring. I took at phone to see Cutie Buttie was calling, which is Leo because he has a nice butt, but it’s fair because I’m cupcake in his phone.  I answer the phone.

“Is, are you what’s happing? Are you ok?” Leo says in a rush. Leo also sometimes calls me Is for short like Jase calls me Izzy.

“I’m fine, Ace just pulled a prank on me and it scared me.” I say feeling better just hearing his voice.

 My phone starts to ring again and this time it’s cuddle bear, which is Jase, because he reminds me of those big teddy bear you can cuddle on. Just like Leo he has his own name for me in his phone which is mi querida he told me it means my dear in Spanish, I guess.

“Jase is joining the call” I tell Leo.

“Izzy what’s going on, why are you scared?” Jase asks.

“Jase, breathe. I’m fine Ace pulled a birthday prank on me.” I say.

 I saw my mom drinking her coffee with a smile, dad seemed to be spaced out. I guess I get my spacing out talent from my dad. Mason and Grace already left and Pheebs came into dining room and sat a little ways away from Ace. I look at her questionably she just mouths to me later. I walk out of the dining room to my room. I talk with my mates on the phone for a while¸ I told them I was ok about a million times and told them how I’m scared of spiders. Jase mumbled something about killing all the spiders on earth, it made both me and Leo laugh so hard my stomach hurt.  

 Pheebs walked into my room and sat on my bed, I said my goodbyes to them and hung up. Pheebs looked as if she was going to be sick or pass out.

“Ugh, way do men have to be so pig headed sometimes. Literally after your parents left the room I asked to talk to Ace alone. He agreed but one of his buddy’s came in and asked him if he wanted to play some game. He agreed and left me after saying ‘We can take later right’” I listen to her talk. I tried to tell her that Ace was standing in the doorway, but she didn’t hear me. Pheebs went on “What do I say to that ‘Sure’ because its not like I could have just said ‘Sure, Ace. Me telling you that I’m pregnant can totally wait for your game with your best bud is over.’”

“You’re pregnant?” Ace says out loud.

 Pheebs froze and slowly turned around to see Ace. She looked back at me and I put my hands up in surrender, she just glared at me.

“I think we should talk.” Pheebs says pulling him by the hand.

Pheebs POV *Surprise*

 I took Ace’s hand and pulled him to his room, I closed the door and sat on the bed. I waited with my head down for him to yell, shout, fight, or something but he was just as frozen as I was. I know he needs time to the information sink in, but I couldn’t hold it in much longer. I felt the tears start to roll down my cheeks, I tried to hold back to sobs that want to escape but they came out anyway. My sobs made Ace come out of his trance.

“Babe.” Ace says coming to me pulling me into his arms.

 It causes me to cry harder, I don’t even feel when Ace picked me up. He sat on the bed putting each of my legs next to his, so I was straddling him. He soothes me by rubbing my and rocking back and forth. When I finally stop crying, I pull back and Ace whips my tires that were running down my face way.

“I’m sorry.” I say looking down.

“You have nothing to be sorry about. It takes two people to make a baby. I know right now isn’t really the best time to be having kids but your, our baby will be beloved by many.” He says.

“So, you’re not mad?” I ask.

“I could never be mad at you; I love you too much.” He says.

 I can help but laugh at his goofiness.

Isabella’s POV

 I changed my clothes because I was covered in baby powder. I put on one of Jase’s shirts that I have, I have to tie it in the back because it almost goes to my knees. I mean Jase is 6 foot and I’m only 5’4. I put on a pair of jean shorts and head down stair to help set up for the party. I got the job of filling up balloons, I watch some of the warriors set up the stage and trying to show off to the girls. I guess that being a warrior and having a high muscle mass works for them because the girls are drawling over them. One of then see me watching them and he winks at me, I roll my eyes and flip him off.  

 He turns around and gets back to work, I go back to filling up balloons and bouncing them into the net in the middle of the room. When there look like there are a million balloons someone rises the net up to the selling. At the end of the night at the last few songs they drop them. I go to help set up the rest of the stage because the guys are too distracted. I start to click metal pieces together; I took me an hour to set the rest of the stage up by myself.

“Wow, little Izzy is stronger and faster than all the warriors put together.” A voice says.

“No way.” I say.

 I turn around and see Even standing on the floor while I’m on the stage. I couldn’t help myself I jump off the stage landing on me feet. Even and I hug for a minute before I take his wrist, twist so my back is to his front. I use all my strength to flip him over me, I kneel on his chest.

“Damn, the trainee became the master.” He breathes heavily.

“Well I had a good master that taught me to expect the unexpected at all times.” I say getting off him and helping him up.

 Even was the first person to train me after my father had stopped, he was always the clown of us two. I would say I was older them him mentally and he would pout. I come back to the present; I punch him in the shoulder.

“What the hell is wrong with you still not accepting the fact that Ethan is your mate. He is going crazy; he’s driving me crazy and I have two mate I have to worry about.” I say.

“Ok, first, ow! Second,” Even shows me his shoulder and there is a mark. “We marked and mated last night when I got back. Third, you found your mates like as in two.”

“Ugh, yes I have two mate the Wyatt twins Jason and Leo. And you got back last night and didn’t tell me that hurt like really hurts my heart.” I fake pain.

He ruffles my hair, “Damn two mates and the Wyatt twins none the less. You have got your hands full. How do you even live?”

 We take for a little longer before I saw Pheebs, I left him to talk with Pheebs. She told me everything, I could tell how happy she was that Ace wasn’t going to leave her or force her to get rid of the baby. She was worried about that, but I knew my brother would love this baby more then the world. Me and Pheebs set up some more than have lunch, before we start to get ready. I shower and start to straighten my hair after it has dried. Pheebs jumps in the shower after me, when her hair is dry, I help her curl the little pieces that she can’t do on her own. I do Pheebs makeup in the lights aqua blue eyeshadow I have, I add a light gray to make her blue eyes pop more. I help her put her dress on, she bought the dress a week ago. It is a light blue dress with long sleeves that are off the shoulder, the dress is tight at the top but loosen as the dress flows out at the thighs.  

“You look beautiful.” I say.

“Thank you. I was so worried that I’d be showing a baby bump by now.” She say turning to the side in the mirror. “Now I need to get you ready.”

 I sit down in the desk chair while she starts on my makeup but a knock at the door stops her.

“Come in.” I say.

 I say it before Pheebs because I knew she would have shouted and for a house full of werewolves we can hear very thing. The door opens and my mom and dad walk in, they ask Pheebs if they could talk with me alone. Pheebs bows her head and starts to leave, I look at my mom and I can already tell that she knows Pheebs is pregnant. Luna wolves have the ability to tell when a women is pregnant or is furtal. It’s weird but cool at the same time, I don’t know how it works but mom says it comes with time and being connected to the women in the pack.

“You look so grown up. Here let me help you with your makeup.” My mom says.

 She does my makeup in a dark and light gray eyeshadow, adds a little blush, and a nude lip color.

“There, perfect.” She say.

I smile “Thank you. Now what is it you two want to tell me.” I say.

“Well,” My dad says taking a seat on my bed, “You’re 18 now and as much a I want to keep you as my little wolf, you are not little anymore. That’s why your mother and I decide to lift the mate rule for you because we trust you to make the right chose tonight. You know that being marked and mated to your mates means that you will be taking on the responsibility of being the new Moon Goddess.”

“I know and thank you, but I still have no idea what I even want in life.” I say squashing my fists together.

My mom grabs my hand, “To tell you the truth no one does, life is just a game we play hoping to find happiness and my Isabella you found yours it’s just a matter of if you want it now or not and no one will judge you for it.”

I hug her, “Thanks mom.” I hug my dad, “Thank you, dad”

He clears hid throat “Well, we better get going the party is about to start.”

 They leave me in my room to finish getting ready, I slip on my dress and tie the strings behind my neck. My dress is a silver-gray with a v neckline and a gem belt under my breast, the dress flows down hiding all of my curves in a nice way. I hear Ace knock on the door before walking in, he looks handsome with his blue tie and all.

“I see Pheebs got you whipped huh?” I tease him.

“A 110%” He say, “But at least I don’t two alphas drooling over me.”

I pick up a pillow from the bed and throw it at him. We laugh for a moment.

“You ready to go?” Ace asks holding out his arm.

“Now or never.” I say taking his arm.

 We wait backstage for our dad to announce us like he does every year.

Our Dad starts his speech “18 years ago seems like forever ago but like yesterday at the same time. Without my beautiful mate I wouldn’t have gotten to see what amazing people Ace and Isabella would grow up to be. Ace is strong headed just like me but under that he is a kind man and will do me proud when he becomes alpha. Isabella is stubborn, loud, and annoying at times, but she colors the world around her with light and love. I have taught my kids a lot about life and they have taught me too. Ace taught me that being strong doesn’t mean you always have to be strong, Isabella taught me to step back from a bad situation and see the beauty of the world around it. I know I’ve been up here a while to please welcome Ace and Isabella.”

 The crowed cheered, Ace walks with me onto the stage. We both hug mom and dad, we walked off the stage Pheebs hugs me and pulls Ace to the dance floor. Even and Ethan came over to me, they both gave me a hug. I made a comment about Ethan having a mark and he made a comment about the hick I had covered up with makeup on my collarbone. Ethan gave me a water lily charm bracelet, it was beautiful. Even gave me a small box when I opened it there was a key with a keychain of a lily. He told me that my gift was parked next to my car. I was going to ask him about it, but they had walked off, second later I had four arms wrapped around me.

“Happy Birthday, babe.” Leo and Jase say together.

“Thanks, and you two know when you say the same thing at the same time it’s creepy.” I say.

  They just laugh, Jase decide that he is going to dance with me while Leo gets some food for us to eat set up at a table. I thought that was weird because Jase doesn’t really dance, he’s not that good at ballroom dancing. He takes my hand in his and wraps his arm around my waist pulling me closer to him, I place my arm on his shoulder tangling my fingers in his hair. I feel the vibrations from his chest for his quite growl he releases. 

“You really should stop doing that or I might do something I’ll regret later.” He whispers in my ear.

 I move closer to him so our bodies as completely touching, I stand on my tippy toes. I lightly nip the side of his neck before whispering back, “Maybe I want that, or I just want you.”

 I tease him by kissing his neck again and moving away from him, I leave a very stound Jase on the dance floor as I go to find Leo. I find Leo talking with some of the park w****s, I know that Leo would never do anything, but my stupid primate brain didn’t. I calm myself and walk over to Leo, I pull his face to mine. I kiss him passionately; he pulls me closer to him and deepens the kiss.

“Hey, babe. What was that for?” He asked.

“Nothing I guess wanted to kiss you.” I say

 He smiles and kiss me again, but it was short and sweet. He sit me down at the table, he sets a chicken salad in front of me. Jase came and sat at the table; Leo gave him a stake. Leo got himself a chicken parmesan. I finished my salad; I decide to tease the boys. I take off my heel and rub my foot it up Jase’s lag under his pants causing sparks to tingle our skin. I watch him stop eating for a moment then look at me. I place my hand on Leo’s inner thigh causing him to jump slightly.

Leo whispers, “You should stop before we all do something that we can’t take back.”

I whisper back, “Well what if I want that to happen.” I stand up, “I’m going to go dance, come find me when your done.”

 I walk to the dance floor to be pulled into Pheebs, she told me that Ace is still eating, and she needs someone to dance with. I dance with her for a few songs before someone grabbed me and spun me around. I came face to face with Leo. I smile at him; he starts to dance with me. I was worried about Pheebs, but I saw her with Ace, so she was fine. I dance with Leo for a few songs in silence, I was so deep in thought that I had zoned out. Leo ran his fingers down my cheek making me blink a few times coming back to focus.

“Everything alright?” He asks.

“Yeah.” I say resting my head on his chest. “Leo?”

“Humm.” He response.

“I love you.” I say for the first time to him.

He lifts my chin up, “I love you, too.” He kisses my slowly.

When we pull apart, I can’t help the smile that kiss caused. Leo rest his forehead on mine, we dance one last dance before Jase asks to dance with me. I want to say yes but my feet are killing me. I tell him I can’t dance any more and that we can sit and talk so where quiet. He agrees, I walk Jase through the house to the library, no one really goes in here. I basically grow up in this room reading all the books I could reach.

 I sat down on the window bench, I took off my heels and dropped them to the floor. I rub my feet making some of the aching pain go away, Jase sits next to me and takes my feet in his hands. He rubs my feet then my calf, while I hum at the release of pain.

“Mmm, you’re really good at that.” I say.

“I only aim to please you, my dear.” He says.

 I take my feet away to move closer to him, I kiss him sweetly and move away. I sat back but to my surprise, Jase picked me up and sat me in his lap. He pecks my lips.

He sighs, “I know that I’ve been distant with you, but I don’t want you to get too close to me. I know that you love Leo as much as he loves you, but I am too scared of losing you or hurting you to get closer.”

“You can’t hurt me. Well physical maybe because you took down that one football player like it was nothing.” I joke, “I want you closer and know I love you just as much as I love Leo. Leo and I share the same academic knowledge, you and me both like to be alone rather than in a crowd, like the same music, and don’t want to hurt each other in anyway. I lo-“

He cut me off by kissing my lips shut.

“I love you, too, mi querida.” He laughs.

 I kiss him again, but in no time it turns into a full blown make out moment. He wraps his arms around me holding me in place. I run my fingers through his hair, and even pulling it a little making him growl. We deepen the kiss, but he pulls away from me. I hear the door open and in walks Even, Ethan, Leo, Ace and Pheebs.

“We at least we know she wasn’t kidnapped.” Even says.

“I swear if we didn’t come to find you two when we did, you two would have jumped each others bones by now.” Pheebs says.

“I really don’t want to think about my sis jumping anyone’s bones ever.” Ace says closing his eyes.

 I blush and turn my face a way from everyone.

“Your mom want you two to do the cake now.” Leo says holding out his hand to me.

I take his hand and we start to leave the library. I realize that Jase isn’t following us, I look at him questing him.

“I’ll catch up Izzy, I just need a minute to calm down.” Jase says.

 I look at him confused before it hits me what he means, I feel my face turn hot. I turn around, Leo laughs and wraps his hand around my waist. We walk back to the party; mom comes and takes me and Ace to the table with a big cake. Mom hands Ace and me each a cupcake with a candle, mom tells us to make a wish. I close my eyes and blow out the candle.

“What did you wish for?” Mom asks.

Ace laughs, “For you to have my wish mom.” He gave mom a kiss on the cheek before going back to Pheebs.

“What did you wish for, Isabella?” Mom asks.

“I didn’t wish for anything; I already have everything I’ll ever need.” I say looking at Leo and Jase.

 The party went on for another hour or so before people started to leave. Most of the people that came from outside of our pack left first, slowly our pack members started to leave. It was about 11:30, most of everyone left so I changed my clothes. I put on some yoga pants and one of Leo's shirts. When I came back down Even, Ethan, Ace, Pheebs, Leo, Jase, Mom and dad were the last ones. Mom and dad left to go to ‘bed’, Ace and Pheebs were dancing to some Ed Sheeran song while Ethan and Even were doing the same, and Leo and Jase were eating some of the leftover food.

 I started to clean up a little, I took used glasses and plates to the kitchen. I made sure all the uneaten leftovers were in the fridge, I was taking the table clothes off the table off the tables when two arms wrapped around me and two hands took the table clothes out of my hands. I couldn’t help but jump, but the tingles told me it had to be Leo and Jase.

“What are you doing Izzy?” Jase asked.

“I’m riding a unicorn. What does it look like I’m doing? I’m cleaning.” My sarcasm made Leo laugh.

“She got you there, Jase.” Leo says.

The start to fight, I look up at the clock to see that it is pass midnight. I get tired of listening to them fight, so I just head up the stairs to my room.

I turn and yell over my shoulder, “Whenever you two are done fighting I’ll be in my room.”

I lay down on my bed and close my eye. I hear my door open and two sets of footsteps coming close to me. They both lay down on the bed one on my right the other on the lift. I kiss them on the lips, jaw, neck, but they both stop me. I see Jase’s and Leo’s face both of them have their teeth out and eyes changed into their wolves.

“Be careful, mi querida, you don’t want to start something you cannot finish.” Jase says almost sounding like a growl.

 I feel myself change; I use my wolf strength to push them both down so I’m on top of them. “I intend to start something and to finish it as well. Because I want both of you to mark and mate me.” With that they did. 

 I woke up and looked at the clock that read 2:58am. I want to go to sleep but my body was in so much pain. It was as if my body was set on fire while hundreds of knives stabbed into me over and over. The pain got so bad I was on the edge of screaming in pain, but Leo and Jase were asleep. I quickly put on some clothes to hind my naked body and ran outside. I ran through the woods trying to shift but it wasn't working. I finally made it to a safe area, I let out the screams and cries of the extreme pain moving through my body before it went dark.
