Chapter 1; Back to school
Ngrrrrr, ngrrrrr, ngrrrrr. Jaden was woken up by the continuous crying of his alarm. It was six thirty in the morning , the first day of school. Jaden woke up put his alarm off and headed direct to the bathroom. He stood in front of the mirror to admire his looks. He had a face that stopped you—sharp jaw, soft cheeks, and eyes that sparkled with mischief. His lips curved into a smile that was both warm and irresistible, and his hair fell perfectly, like it had a mind of its own. Handsome, yes—but there was a boyish charm in him that made him impossible not to like. He took his toothbrush and brushed his well arranged teeth. After thirty minutes of being ready, he took his backpack and headed down for breakfast. Jaden lived with both parents and two siblings, a brother and a sister who were twins. He was always in disagreement with his father due to his academic performance. He kissed his siblings and mother goodmorning and proceeded to eat. After his breakfast, he took his Yamaha YZF–R1. He roared his bike and headed to school. He rode downtown like he owned the street, a sleek black backpack slung casually over one shoulder. His leather jacket hugged him just right, sleeves slightly rolled up to reveal a hint of a golden rolex watch, while a crisp white T-shirt underneath kept it effortlessly clean and smart. Dark jeans fit snugly, worn just enough to look lived-in, and scuffed sneakers tapped lightly on the pedals as he weaved through traffic. His helmet, matte black with a reflective visor, added a hint of mystery, while a pair of mirrored sunglasses peeked out, catching the morning sun. Every piece he wore screamed casual confidence—like he didn’t have to try, but somehow looked cooler than anyone else on the road. He kept turning heads as he rode his bike. School girls walking to school kept looking at him while clicking pictures. He came to a traffic light which shouted red and halted. He stopped his bike and took out his phone fiddling with it unbeknownst to him people had gathered around him admiring his god like looks. On turning green, he roared his bike only after lifting the visor and winking at the girls on the side walk. He proceeded to school leaving fainted girls on the road.As he neared school, he saw his classmates and friends walking towards the school gate. He cornered and went to a near parking lot and packed his bike. Yeah! the school had a parking lot but he refrained from parking there as in multiple occasions, he would find love letters strapped to his bike from unknown students. He secured his bike and headed towards school with his hanging bag on one shoulder. As he walked, he kept hearing admiring whispers from fellow students. As he was basking in the attention, he was snapped to reality by a soft slap on the back of his head. He gasped in pain with an ouch and turned to look at the culprit. Allan , Jaden's best friend loved hitting him softly on his head and Jaden was used to his action. they walked side by side narrating how their holiday was. They proceeded to the football pitch to meet with the rest as they all were football players. Today was their first day and thus there are low chances of having classes for the coming three days. As jaden approached the pitch, he was swarmed by ladies who were in need of attention. He smiled at them at raised his brow for them and proceeded to his friends. They completed the formalities and started making stories about how they will take this semester seriously together with the upcoming football games. The bell rang and with that they had to proceed to classes. Allan and jaden bid their friends farewell and proceeded to class. In the hallway, girls were looking at them through the transparent windows. Allan himself wasn't bad, he was hansome with godlike looks that could sway heads wherever he went only that he kept himself shaggy to avoid the attention that Jaden always received. He hated being haunted everywhere he went and thus he kept the shaggy look. Jaden also didn't like the attention but he enjoyed it and with that he would flirt with girls as much as he wanted. They reached their class and each went to their specific seats. Jaden slumped on his seat and started playing with his phone. On the other hand Allan maintained a straight posture and started going through this semesters course outline. Suddenly a commotion erupted at the hallway, the boys in the class rushed to the window with their phones to take pictures. Juliet, the female heartthrob was making her way to class. She wasn’t the kind of beauty that demanded attention, but the kind that lingered in your mind. Her hair fell in soft waves around her shoulders, catching the light just so, and her eyes held a quiet warmth that drew people in without trying. Her smile was gentle, a little shy, but genuine, and her movements had a natural grace—like she floated rather than walked. Dressed simply but with style, she had an effortless charm that made her noticeable in any crowd, the kind of beauty that made you look twice and smile quietly to yourself, and be like damn, God really took his time to make her. She walked gracefully to class and searched her seat. She was always on purpose, coming late in every place just to secure everyone's attention. She diligently sat on her chair and smiled at everybody. After settling she turned her head at the back of the class to look at Jaden who seemed unaware of her entrance in class. Juliet, who liked referring to herself as julie, felt a sharp pain in her chest as she failed to gain Jadens attention. As she was turning her head to mind her business, she made an eye contact with Allan who was passionately looking at her. She offered him a forced smile and turned her way.Allan was always smitten with julie and everyone in their class knew it but he was faced with multiple rejection from her. Still, he never gave up. Class time was starting and the lecturer came to class. He took the roll call and ensured everyone was present. At the end of the roll call, he mentioned a new name that made the whole class look at each other wondering who that person was. They teacher kept calling the name only to be faced with the confused student looks. Some even mocked that the teacher was confused that early morning. Suddenly at the class door, a girl appeared and said present in response to the called name. The girl was none other than Sandra. Sandra was a new girl who transferred from another school to join Bright student campus after being given a scholarship. She was studying in Envision campus which was a National one, and gladly got a scholarship to Bright student campus which was an international school. Her dishevelled look and sweaty face made the whole class erupt in a laughter. She shyly looked down and apologised to the teacher for being late. Sandra came from a middle class family that can afford the basics but not the luxury. The class was still laughing while pointing fingers at her for being late, sweaty and ragged on the first day of opening school. The teacher gave stern look at the students and they shushed their mouthy mouths. He then asked Sandra as to why she was late.
