Chapter 6: Double Blades, Double Trouble

Tamura after hearing that he starts writing something on the back of the list, "Don't kill Ken, Ken don't leave"
He looks at Ken and says
"A contract is a contract, I follow my part, and you yours,"
After both of them calmed, they were just standing on the grass and talked to each other
"So, you had a fishing quest?" Says Tamura
"Uh, yea, but that is not important right now" And without even realizing it, Tamura was already in the water catching fish with his knife
Ken was a little bit confused at first but he helped Tamura with fishing and they did the quest pretty quickly after that.
While they were walking in the forest to arrive in the city, they get stopped by a gank of thugs,
The biggest of them get in front holding a pretty small knife in front of him,
"Hey kids! nice fish you got there, now is ours!"
Ken just stand there and thinks
Since they don't see a name on their had, and no mana bars, they are not other people, they are just some random mobs spawned by the quest in order to stop them from completing it
"Didn't I tell you to hand over the fish?" And after that, the big guy rushed to attack Ken, but before that could happen, Tamura cast "the list" on the big guy leaving Ken alone with the other 5 thugs
Ken was still thinking if it is worth fighting them or it is better to run, so he didn't even realize that he was alone versus 5 thugs. The thugs jump on Ken all at once.
In the next shot, we see Tamura appearing from nothingness with the first thug that was unconscious on his back. Tamura throws him on the ground and he starts cleaning himself.
"Took you long enough," Says Ken that was playing with a coin standing on a rock
"Wanted to be sure I finish the job, and also, you look like you enjoyed yourself," Says Tamura while looking on the ground, where, they lied there the 5 thugs that attack Ken earlier
Ken indeed became stronger everyday, it was his everyday training with Inazuke or his daily meditation, he was thinking faster and more precise than he ever did
Tamura Shows him his gold bag and say
"The gold from the quest, take it"
But Ken denied
"No, with that, we gonna make you look better, you need new clothes, and a ... shower" looking at Tamura
"showering it's just standing in the water but with more steps"
With the money from the quest, they go to the city and bought Tamura new clothes, new weapons and showing him the place. Tamura knew nothing of this town, he said he was not from here, and didn't know how he got there in the first place.
After they bought all the things for Tamura it was already lunchtime, so Ken decided to bring Tamura to his favorite restaurant, which was the same restaurant that they eat at every day.
They got there and of course, they get greeted the same way
"Ken! My friend! as usual!"
"Yes, boss! Just make a fish for my friend over here" But before he went to the same table he always sits, a familiar voice can be heard
"Ken?"
Ken looks at his table and was no other than Inazuke with Soma that was standing at the table. He gets near them and asks,
"You guys? why are you here?"
But Soma quickly replied
"You are the one that was not supposed to be here, didn't you say you will stay home this day?"
"And who is the new guy?" Ask Inazuke
But Tamura gets in front of them and slaps his list on the table
"Are you on my list?"
But before he can do something else Ken gets to him and whisper to Tamura
"Calm down, they are not important enough to be on a list"
Inazuke that heard that replied
"What was that?"
"Nothing, nothing, looks like our food is ready, let's enjoy this"
Inazuke and Soma know they've been insulted but they don't care and they start laughing. they eat and they go home to show Tamura where he will be staying from now on
In the evening we see the typical shot of the 4 characters relaxing in the living room, Soma was cleaning his armor and sword, Inazuke was reading manga, Ken was meditating and Tamura was sharpening his knife but the silence was broken once again by Soma who said
"I am bored let's do something, but this time maybe something that will help all of us"
Inazuke remembers the fight with the mini-boss and how they defeated it, he remembered Ken that entered in some sort of a "god mode" so he decided to ask him about that
"Wait, you didn't do the rage quest?"
"Rage quest?" Ask both Inazuke and Soma
"The rage quest is the quest to unlock the rage mechanic, it's not a complicated quest, it is rather long, but the reward is just insane for the thing you need do"
Rage mechanic is an emergency mechanic, when you activate it, after charging it by dealing damage, the one who activates it gains a ton on temporary levels, and status boosts, additionally they gain a new ability that usually ends the rage status. After using it the user will be exhausted and in pain just for using it, they don't even need to use it in combat, that's why it is recommended not to use it if you do not master it, the base cooldown for the rage is 5 days.
"There's a quest for that?" Ask Inazuke sarcastically but then Soma very enthusiastic shouts
"WE GO NOW"
Everyone just looks at him in silence but Inazuke stays and thinks a bit
"We have nothing to do right now, and from tomorrow we start doing normal quests again, so there is no better time to do that
"Okay we go now," Says Inazuke
"Ah s**t here we go again," Thinks Ken
"you will stay home again" Ask Inazuke
"I don't do the same mistake twice, I will go do something outside"
"I see, have a fun adventure I guess," Says Inazuke and leaves with Soma to the quest
Ken and Tamura leave too. Then didn't have a plan in mind, so they were just walking at the edge of the city.
While they were walking they saw in the forest someone that was just standing still while he was attacked by a raptor.
Tamura and Ken look at him wondering what is happening, the person health was indeed very low, but the raptors damage was not that much, but if he would stay there for more, he would have definitely died but Ken as good of a person he is, he couldn't let that happen to a poor soul.
Ken jumps in front of the person and kills the raptor who was about to kill the person
The person gets up from the ground and say
"You denied my experiment"
"Experiment?"
"I wanted to see if my passive works in real-world too"
Ken was looking even more confused than before
"My passive says that my abilities get upgraded by every death, I wanted to see if this will work"
"Are you nuts?" Quickly replied Ken
"Well, it also says that my abilities get upgraded by takedowns, and you kinda made me mad" After saying that he makes two long katanas appear in his hands and he took a battle stance.
Ken seeing this he makes his own sword appear
The strange guy look at Ken surprised and think
"I know that blade" But he didn't take long until he dashed to Ken ready to attack him with his weird looking swords. But from the bush, Ken was watching before he jumped to help the person, Tamura jumps and cast his ultimate on the person
Ken takes a relaxed pose and thinks
"Good one Tamura, make it quick this time," He said that but he didn't realize that after only 3 seconds they both appear from Tamura's ultimate. Tamura was unconscious on the ground while the person was looking like nothing happened
"Cool ability, but who in their right mind will transform a 2 vs 2 into a 1 vs 2?"
Ken looks pissed off at the fact that Tamura was defeated so quickly in his own world
"Okay, okay, calm down! there is no point in fighting a lost battle" Says the person to Ken. Ken knew he was right, someone that defeated Tamura in 3 seconds could have probably defeat Ken in 1 second
"I am Yonezu, and your blade is rising interest on me"
"Dream more, it's a bound item, even if I die you cannot have it"
"Who said I want it, I just want to learn about it. I Say, let's just make a temporary peace, to exchange information shall we?"
"You just make my friend faint!"
"Oh, don't worry about that, my grandfather taught something useful in this kind of situation" After saying this he went to Tomura, he concentrates, and then start slapping Tomura.
Ken was looking confused but then Tomura actually wakes up.
He gets near Ken after that
"So, we deal?"
Tomura just says before Ken accepting
"This guy is strong, Tamura likes it"
"It is not a bad deal, but just for your knowledge, I remember nothing about me or my blade, that's what I want to find out," Says Ken
"That's a fair point, I will help you find out about it"
