17 CLEARING THE AIR…SOMEWHAT At the appointed hour on the appointed day, the grave had been dug, and Irving’s body, still in the plastic body bag, was placed in it. Those friends and family that had gathered huddled under umbrellas, trying to stay dry in the heavy mist that plagues the Pacific Northwest.
