Chapter 14 - Her Hope

One year later...
"Still a sleepyhead," I said smiling at Xayne as I watched him sleep soundly on his soft and big bed. Even though his face was shining from the sun coming out of the window, it did not wake him up.
I am leaning against the door of his room with one hand resting on my waist. I just shook my head and decided to approach him to wake him up. He is such a sleepy head.
Today is the day for his Tour Band Practice in Paris. He needs to wake up early and ready himself because the company is waiting for him at the airport. Since the day he and Gin talked, he has decided to continue and pursue playing music and creating a band. He participated in many activities that have something to do with music and he also plays his guitar for the gigs and bars.
"Xayne wakes up, you will be late for your flight," I said with a soft voice as I stroked his hair. I heard his moan, asking me to let him sleep for more minutes.
I chuckled because of his cute reaction then I rolled my eyes. Even though I wanted him to sleep for more minutes because he is tired of practicing all day yesterday, I still cannot let him be. He has a flight.
"I will ask Gin to call you and wake you up," I said, trying to warn him.
He suddenly opened his eyes and glared at me. He knew exactly what I always do for him to follow my order and that is to mention my cousin's name. He has a lot of respect for my cousin, so this is how he acts every time he hears about Gin.
"Fine" He got up from his bed and I stretched my arm to give him a morning hug, however, instead of responding to my action he went straight inside the bathroom to take a bath.
I smiled bitterly.
Even though we have been lovers for a year, I feel like he is still very far away. He still does not say the things he thinks every time he has a problem because he prefers to keep his problems to himself. Did he not trust me enough? However, I did not stop supporting him. Wherever he is, I am there to support him. I did not leave him alone even though I felt he wanted someone other than me. I feel like he is only forcing himself on me.
I shook my head to clear my thoughts.
I have prepared everything he will use and need so he has nothing else to think about but to practice and enjoy their tour practice. We will be separated for one week, but I will make sure that when he returns, we will have our dates and will watch the concerts of his favorite artists as we always do on weekends.
After Xayne took a bath, he ate the breakfast I made for him. Ever since he became my boyfriend, I always go to his condo to cook breakfast for him before I go to work. Xayne maintains cleanliness in his place because he does not want a messy and chaotic house. Sometimes he gets annoyed when I am noisy, he does not talk too much, so I prefer to talk a lot to entertain him with my story.
We do not live together. Although I already want to live with him so I can take care of him full time, Xayne wanted to marry me first before we share the same roof. After he said that I was even more eager to be with him in the future. We will plan our wedding; we will both face the altar and build a happy family. He just did not know that I could not wait for that to happen.
"Xayne, do not forget to call and text me before you sleep. Sleep early and do not get tired. If you have a problem, contact me immediately because I will go to you wherever and whenever you are even if it is across the sea. Above all, avoid beautiful and sexy women" I said reminding him and emphasizing that he should not cheat behind my back.
Xayne coughs, he almost chokes because of his food. I immediately reached for him with water and tissue. Is there anything surprising about what I said?
"Seriously? I am not that kind of person" He said as he rolled his eyes at me. I just giggled at him and continued watching him eating his food.
We put his luggage in the back of my car. He insisted that he is going to drive my car, so I let him. We headed to the airport for his flight and I was sitting in the passenger seat, staring at him thinking if I should allow him to go or not because not seeing him for seven days will probably drive me crazy.
"Stop staring at me, I might melt," He said while driving, his eyes on the road. I saw his smile and when the stoplight turned to red, our car stopped. His gaze shifted from the road to mine. He stared at me and I feel like I am the one that will melt through his stares not him.
Oh god, I do not want to be away from him because it will be too hard for me to sleep at night thinking of him. I will miss him so much even if we only part for a while.
When we got inside the airport, I just kept on looking at Xayne who was now preparing to leave. I hugged him tight, but he did not. He just pats my head and ruffles my hair. I kissed his cheeks, somehow, I noticed that he wanted to avoid me but because I wanted to kiss him, he did nothing but give up.
"Take care, I love you," I said smiling at myself. He smiled back and nodded his head.
"I will. See you"
I want him to say that he also loves me too, but I do not want to force him. Maybe the time will come, he will voluntarily tell me that he loves me, and when that day comes, he will not look at me with sympathy in his eyes, like today.
I watched his back as he dragged his suitcase into the entrance to his plane. I do not know but I do not feel good every time I think he might meet Alodia by accident. I forgot that Xayne's activity tour will be held in France.
When I was about to leave, my phone suddenly rang. I immediately check the caller and saw Sally's name on the screen. It is still early to go to work. I wonder why she suddenly calls me.
"Hello, Sally?" I asked after answering her call and putting the phone on my ears.
"Julie, where are you? There is a problem with the company right now. You need to talk to your father" I suddenly felt nervous after hearing Sally's voice with concern.
"I am at the airport. Do not worry I am coming" I said and turned off the call.
I wonder what the problem is. I hope the company and my father are fine.
