Chapter 3

Meera's POV:

It's been two months since I joined and I'm very happy where I am. I have good friends, great mentors and everything is lovely.

"Meera mam, MD sir is calling you".

The office boy came and told me.

I nooded and he left. I got up and went towards his cabin and knocked.

He said to come in and I went in.

"Sir, you called me?" I asked going in and stood in front of his table.

"Yeah.... Meera, I need you to check these files for me. Actually, Manvi is not here so I need some help. Only if you are free?"

He said looking at me hopefully.

How am I to say NO to this face?

I thought in my mind.

"No problem sir, I can help". I said smiling and sat on the chair.

I started looking into the files one by one. But, suddenly I don't know why I can feel his gaze on me. This always happens when he is around. There is an awkward feeling. I have been around men....but this feeling that comes for Karan sir, is totally something different. I'm not able to name it for some reason.

I looked at him and he immediately turned his face back to the laptop. I know he was looking at me. Nevertheless I concentrated back to work.

"Coffee?" He asked suddenly.

I looked up at him and said.

"Sure, you want me to get it?"

"No you sit here, I'll get them!"

He said getting up and went out.

I took a breath. Seriously what happens to me when he's around.

I can't understand why does this happen? I get angry on myself sometimes.

He came back in with two cups of coffee.

"Here you go!" He said keeping mine on the table near my side.

I smiled and moved all the files and other things aside. He sat on the other chair beside me.

"So, it's been tow months how is everything going?"

He asked me leaning infront.

"Amm.... all has been good!"

I said and took a sip of my coffee.

He too took a sip from his cup and nodded. The way he looks at me, sometimes I feel so wired. Not in a bad way, but it makes me feel very shy and wired.

There was silence for sometime till he broke it.

"Tell me anything about yourself". He said and looked at me with those dark blue eyes.

"I'm from a very small town in pune and I stay in a girls hostel. I........

Karan's POV:

The first time when my eyes met those hazel obrs. I was mesmerized. They were something more then beautiful. It had some purity in them. For a moment I got lost into her.

I came back to earth and took her interview. Then showed her around the office and I can assume she will be good at her job.

But I didn't know this is going to be a new beginning for me. I have no idea as to why I get lost into another world when she is around.

I just can't understand. This has never happened.

She's talking away and I didn't hear a word as my eyes kept admiring her eyes, nose, lips, her single hair which is falling on her face, the movement of her fingers, her just everything.....damn!!!

"Excuse me sir?"

I came out of my dream land and turned to see Rohit the office boy.

"Yes, Rohit tell me?". I said bringing myself back to earth.

"Sir, boss is calling you". He said.

"Fine, I'll be there".

I said and he went.

"You stay here, I'll be back in few minutes". I told Meera.

She smilingly nodded. I just can't take my eyes off this girl. I got up and went out with a stupid smile on my face.

"Mr. Kumar you called for me?"

I asked entering into his cabin

"Ho yes, my boy come in come in"... He said sounding over happy.

I went in and sat on the chair with a doubtful smile.

"I'm so happy to tell you, that the presentation you submitted has been great and the party has approved for the deal".

He said smiling.

"Wonderful, that's a news to celebrate about sir".

I said being equally happy.

"Yes it is... so this Saturday we are having our success party and also you are getting a raise".

He said with a small smile.

"Thank you sir, I can't be grateful enough". I said honestly.

"You deserve it my boy". He said and stood to shake hands with me.

"Thank you sir!". I said once again.

As I turned to go he stopped me....

"Karan, I wanted to know about this new girl Meera, how is she working?" He asked seriously.

I truned looking at him and said confidently.

"Yeah sir, she's great!"

"I want to meet her in private, just to check..... you know!"

He said with a smirk.

For a moment I didn't get his words...but as soon it hit me. I felt so angry, how cheap of him. He's married and has four children he's even a grand dad to three. Disgusting old frog!!!

"Sorry sir, I don't think you need to... I have already got her".

I said and smiled scarstically.

He cleared his throat and just gave a fake chuckle. I turned and walked away.

WTF did I just say in there?

I told him 'I got her'? What the hell did I mean by that sentence.... I have no idea why I said so. But I don't regret it.

Anyone is my place would have done so. I should not think on something which is not that important. I changed my mind and went back into my cabin.

But as I entered, it was empty.

I walked up to my desk and found a chit.

Sorry Karan sir, HR mam called me so I had to go without informing. But I have done checking with all the files. They are perfect, you can go ahead with the next part.

PS: Thanks for the coffee it was lovely:)

Reading it I only smiled like an i***t. Why? I don't know. But the last part is, she likes the coffee I make and I like the way she calls me, Karan sir! All my junior's call me only Sir....but when she says Karan sir, my heart smiles.... I sat back to work..................
