EVANGELINE I got out of the shower, drying my hair with a towel. I was so exhausted from the hospital, my bones ached and my back hurt from standing too long. I wanted nothing more than to lie in bed and sleep until the next morning, but first, I had to check my phone to ensure I didn’t have any issues with patients. Grabbing my phone, I scrolled through the messages from my colleagues. Once I was certain there wasn’t any issue and every patient was accounted for, I made to lock my phone, but a message caught my attention. My hand hesitated over Alex’s message.
